Description of Work: One load of mulch for $11. Cheapest ever but the quality is not excellent because it's recycled wood. Saw some plastic and cloth but nothing too terrible.

The compost was delivered on schedule. The quality was really good and worked perfectly for what we needed it for. The prices were cheaper than that of other suppliers. We would order from them again when we need compost in the future.

The person who answered the phone said that they couldn't deliver the mulch for over two weeks, but gave me the phone # of a man with a dump truck. I called him and had the mulch that morning. It cost a little more for his delivery ($65), but I got it immediately. He was very nice. David Giles - phone 704-519-1414. The mulch we got was shredded hardwood. There were several larger pieces of wood in there, but it is fine for the natural beds in our yard. I would use this service again! You can't beat the price!
Description of Work: We bought eight cubic yards of hardwood mulch from Mecklenburg County. I don't think they measure exactly; I probably got 9-10 yards for the price of eight.

THERE ARE A LOT OF WAYS TO GET MULCH; BUT IF YOU HAVE A BIG JOB AND YOU'RE WILLING TO HAUL/SPREAD IT YOURSELF, THE CITY HAS THE DEAL. YOU CAN PICK IT UP OR HAVE IT DROPPED OFF AT YOUR LOCATION. THEIR WEBSITE IS: HTTP://WWW.CHARMECK.ORG/DEPARTMENTS/LUESA/SOLID+WASTE/COMPOST-YARD+WASTE/HOME.HTM THE GUYS ON THE PHONE ARE GOOD, THE DELIVERY IS WITHIN DAYS AND ALWAYS IN THE RIGHT PLACE. IT'S JUST TOO EASY NOT TO USE THE CITY TO GET YOU YOUR MATERIALS.
Description of Work: THE CITY OF CHARLOTTE AND MECKLENBURG COUNTY HAVE A MULCH, COMPOST, AND DIRT DELIVERY SERVICE -- THE PRICES ARE PHENOMENAL. WE HAVE HAD 15 CUBIC YARDS OF MULCH DELIVERED TWICE, AND 5 TONS OF FILL DIRT DELIVERED AS WELL. THE MULCH IS ONLY $4.60/CU. YD. IF YOU GET 5-30 CU. YDS., AND SO IS FILL DIRT. YOU CAN GET MORE EXPENSIVE MULCH THAT IS DYED RED OR BLACK, AND HAVE TOPSOIL DELIVERED TOO. DELIVERY CHARGES ARE A FLAT $45 A LOAD.
