The guys showed up on time and got my things loaded up pretty quickly. When we arrived at the new house, they unloaded quickly and put everything in the room where it belonged. They also placed all of the furniture as I wanted it.

Reponse to my request for a cost estimate was very prompt. Scheduling was easy and flexible around my schedule. Driver contacted me when piano had been picked up and they were headed in my direction -- so I did not have to take a full day off from work. Movers were professional, courteous, and focused on the job. The piano was received in excellent condition. Would definitely contact Matthews Moving Systems again.

I can only say good things about Matthews Moving Systems. They responded promptly to my call for an estimate. I needed to set up a move within a two week time period and they were able to accomodate me. The estimate was e-mailed to me and confirmed shortly after I returned it. The men who packed the house and loaded the truck were prompt, polite and careful with their packing and loading, I did not worry about breakage. I was packing up my mother's house and delivering to her new address, some to my address and to a warehouse. The movers were pleasant and helpful. I will use them again for any other moves

They did a great job. They were very reasonable. We would be using them again because we haven?t yet moved all our stuff. So once we settle things here we got to get them again. They were very careful. They just did a good job. I would use their services again in the future.

I used Matthews Moving in 1991 to move across town and they were great. In 2010 I needed to move my mom from Florida to Charlotte, NC. Mike was very professional; he took down all the details and provided us with a written estimate in 24-hrs. Through the entire process Mike was very attentive to my needs and the needs of an 87 year old woman who is VERY demanding. Wesley the driver arrived as scheduled along with a packer they hired in Fl. Both men packed everything all mom had to do was relax. They delivered on time and I am happy to say nothing was broken or missing. They earned my business 20-years ago and affirmed it this year. I highly recommend them.

I had a good experience with them. They were great.

It was a mixed experience. The lady that did the estimate/evaluation was prompt and helpful, but I was disappointed that they sent an extra truck which cost me an extra $100. The covers they used were very dirty and dusty, so all of my furniture ended up filthy. I had packed all my belongings myself in standard cartons, but didn't realize they would be flipping the boxes or turning them upside down. Also, there was one piece of furniture with a weak leg and they must have put too much weight on that leg because it had broken. They said they could fix it, but they had nailed the leg to one of the drawers so it wouldn't open. A lot of my furniture was dented as well.

Since the appraiser was traveling from Raleigh to do this evaluation, it was critical that the movers were on time. The movers were 15 min early, and they were able to unpack the pieces, making them available for appraisal immediately upon the appraiser's arrival. There was no wasted time. Also, the movers repacked the unit better than it was initially packed. The men drove the big moving truck to the job, which triggered the $75.00 trip charge. We did not use the truck, but I understand that the men need to travel to the job site, using company vehicles. For these types of jobs, I suggest using a company car and charging the IRS rate for miles from Matthews Moving, Tipton Drive, to the job site -- using MapQuest as support for mileage charges.

They were punctual, quick, price was good which was under the estimated price. Nothing was damaged. They were courteous.

Our biggest complaint was that the company never contacted us about anything; we always had to call them and inquire on how things were going. The packers were very polite and professional and on time as was the sales person. I think the problem was that they got a larger load that made them more money and took that load and left my son's load here in Charlotte hoping for another load with which to put my son's items. They should never have promised me a particular date to deliver if they knew it wouldn't happen. It was an emotional and stressful time. I would not use them again. I will say that they packed each item well and nothing was damaged in the move. One item was left in their warehouse and they have since shipped it to my son. Also, 3 or 4 boxes that didn't belong to us were delivered to California with his load.

I was extremely pleased with my experience with Matthews Moving Systems. I have had very bad experiences in the past with other moving companies so I was a bit leery. However, they were highly recommended by a friend. After I called to inquire about rates, we set up an appointment in which a Moving Consultant came to my home to provide an estimate, tips for moving, and answer any questions. He was very professional and knowledgeable. On the day of the move, the drivers showed up on time and worked consistently to get the job done and finished ahead of schedule.

Horrible experience. No in home estimate- was told they don't do for apts. Lowball quote-paid $400 more than estimate. No explanation on Ins. options prior to move. Lost my file prior to move- took two days to locate. Driver VERY rude. Spent morning on cell phone and in my bathroom. Movers damaged antique desk before it left my house. Was accused of damaging it prior to move. Called office and was told it would be taken care of. Was told they would not move patio pots and lamps. Had friend move them. They left dryer part behind and was unable to hook up dryer. Hooked up washer backwards. They sent worker to fix dryer later in week. Had washer fixed myself. Was told I would receive 10% rebate for my problems but I have not received it. Claims dept. Does not return calls regarding desk. Was told I would be paid $.60 per pound. Made my move very stressful. Movers were careless and showed no concern for my belongings. If your belongs are important to you DO NOT USE MATTHEWS MOVERS!

THEIR ESTIMATES WERE WRONG. THEY LOST SOME OF OUR THINGS, RUINED ANTIQUES, BROUGHT THE WRONG ITEMS TO OUR HOME, AND SENT THE WRONG SIZE TRUCKS. THEY HAD TOTAL DISREGARD FOR THE THINGS THAT THEY MOVED AND ARE NOT ORGANIZED. IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR BELONGINGS, DON'T USE THEM.

THEY WERE VERY PROMPT. THEY DID HAVE TO ADD A THIRD PERSON TO THE JOB. THEY DID NOT TELL ME ABOUT THIS AHEAD OF TIME. I DO UNDERSTAND WHY THEY DID IT. IT WAS GOING TO RAIN AND THEY WANTED TO GET THE JOB DONE BEFORE THE RAIN. I JUST WISH THEY WOULD HAVE TOLD ME FIRST. THEY WERE ON TIME. THEY DID NOT BREAK ONE THING. THEY WERE VERY COURTEOUS AND RESPECTFUL.

ENSURE COMPLETE UNDERSTANDING OF WHO IS RESPONSIBLE OF WHAT BEFORE STARTING.

THE MOVERS WERE VERY CAREFUL. NEITHER MY FLOORS, WALLS OR FURNITURE WERE DAMAGED. HOWEVER, THE QUOTE THEIR REPRESENTATIVE GAVE (AFTER A THOROUGH ONE HOUR TOUR OF MY HOUSE TO APPROXIMATE THE WEIGHT OF ALL THE FURNITURE) NEGLECTED TO INCLUDE A $170 PREMIUM TO MOVE A BIG SCREEN TV. WHEN I BALKED AT PAYING, WAS TOLD SHE SIMPLY FORGOT TO TELL ME ABOUT IT. ANOTHER ROUND OF PHONE CALLS FINALLY GOT THE CHARGE REMOVED FROM MY BILL.

THEY PACKED, WERE PUNCTUAL, DID A GREAT JOB, WAS HAPPY WITH THEM. NOTHING WAS BROKEN OR DAMAGED.

CHARGED MORE THAN ORIGINALLY QUOTED. TOOK 5 HOURS LONGER THAN EXPECTED. REPORTED BROKEN ITEMS.

MOVED ME FROM CHARLOTTE TO BELMONT, CAME INTO CLOSE TO THE ESTIMATE AND DID A GOOD TOOK GOOD CARE OF THE PIANO, WHICH I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT. DID RESIDENTIAL MOVE.

HAVE USED THEM FOR MOVING AND WAS PLEASED WITH THEIR SERVICE.

THIS DAY WE HAD RAIN, SLEET SNOW AND THEY WERE WONDERFUL. THEY DID AN IN TOWN RESIDENTIAL MOVE AND I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

THEY DID AN IN-TOWN HOUSE MOVE. SEEMED FRIENDLY, CONSCIENTIOUS AND PROFESSIONAL. ALSO VERY RESPONSIBLE.
