LOWE'S OF PINEVILLE

Lowes sent out RR Plumbing to measure and ensure that new appliances could be installed. One appliance was a gas cooktop to replace an electric cooktop. The installer measured and insured me that gas could be installed, but we would need to purchase a new microwave above the cooktop. When Piedmont Natural Gas came out to run the gas line, they refused because the cabinets were too close to the countertop for gas, but the microwave was fine. Everything RR had told me was wrong. I do not understand why this company has a contract with Lowes if they continue to disappoint customers and provide bad service.

They came when they said they would come. The guy put them in, took the old ones out, cleaned up a little bit of water and they've been working fine ever since. One worker came out to put the toilet in. He was top notch.

The sales person that came out charged for having lead, and when it was tested, there wasn't any lead, and they had to reimburse me the extra that they charged me for the lead that wasn't there. I ordered the windows, and when they came, they had all the windows except one which was measured incorrectly, so they had to re-order that one. The salesman gave misleading information and overcharged for it. The quality was good. I had to wait 6 weeks and when they had to reorder, I had to wait another couple of weeks for them to install that one in.

The sales man (tom) came to the house on 02/20/2015 and I sign an order to replace all the windows in the house (except small M/Bathroom) plus a sliding glass door. Pella 250 series white vinyl and a 350 series sliding glass door at the cost of $13,300. I was ask by Tom if I could wait a little longer for the installer that he would recommend (Colin) due to his work load. All the money had to be paid at this time, even though the job was not to start until April 27,2015 On May 5th job was done according to Colin. May the 12th Colin and John from Pella(a rep from Greenville) returned to the house to look at damage windows that I found. The large window in the bonus room needs to be replace due to a crack in the vinyl and one of the large windows needs to be fixed due to a plastic spacer left in the window that should of been taking out. These concerns are Pella my only concern was why the installer did not notice them even before or while he was installing them. The installer while installing the upper windows dirty up the vinyl siding with foot prints, the windows are double hung and most of them took a lot of effort to open. The sliding glass door was install with shoddy workmanship and when I question why it was not squared and plum Colin remove all the siding again and made an adjustment. The windows were to be installed using the flange the is on the windows and most were not, leaving a 1 1/4" gap above the windows, when question Colin gave an answer that he decide to install them differently. On the visit to my house on May the 12th John and Colin after John left, Colin spent 3 hours readjusting the windows so that they would open easier, also clean the siding with a product he call spray 9 which removed the marks but now there is a huge different from where is clean and stopped. Colin still has to adjust the Slider and loosen one double window so it can be open with a strain, asked if he can do this when he comes back to install the damage window which I am being told is to be July 1,2015. Through all this, I have been trying to resolve my issue with a Eric, Stanley Exteriors Project Coordinator to no avail. There has been no lees then 20 E-mails plus phone calls to him and all he did was to jerk me around, this is what happens when they have all your money up front. I had to ask three times to have his supervisor to call me since I was going around in a circle with him. A few days age a person name Dell called to discuss my concerns and also was wondering why the replacement window that was damage and ok by Pella to reorder was not, adding to the delay of completing the job. The full size screens that come with the windows don't fit properly and was told they are out of square. I have mention to every that the last person that should be inconvenient is the home owner and in this case he is the only being so. I know for a fact that if I was not aware of the trade of installing and did not question Colin, that the shoddy workmanship that took place that the home owner would have had problems. I even over heard Colin saying to his helpers what was I complaining about now. Can not get Lowe's to see my point. Thank You Stephen Wojtkowski

I called Jim Dickerson Plumbing Tuesday morning. They sent a plumber within 1-1/2 hours of my call and installed the water heater in less than 2 hours including adding an expansion tank! Finally heard from Lowes Wednesday afternoon to advise an installation quote was available and to call on Thursday. Do not use Lowes to install a water heater if you need a replacement quickly!

I had a bad experience with them. I bought the door in January or February. It was back ordered and then they ordered the wrong door. It wasn't until June or July that the door was installed, and it's still not great. But I just got to the point where I didn't want them in my house anymore. In the end, it was really frustrating because you're kind of stuck in this vortex between Lowe's sold the door. It was a special order door that you're dealing with the manufacturer. And because they had independent contractors to install it, nobody would take ownership of the situation. They would all just point to each other. In between February to June, the installers moved to Ohio. There was just nobody to take ownership of it and they weren't interesting in resolving it in a short period of time. One of the issues was the door wouldn't shut completely. I couldn't secure my house if I couldn't shut the door all the way. When I was talking to the manufacturer, they said that somebody from their end couldn't get out until like 10 days. I told them, "You realize I can't shut the door for 10 days? Is that something that you would let go on your house for 10 days?" And they said, "Well, no. But..." I had to get someone else out here.

My husband and I had microwave installed by Lowe?s on 07/23/13. Our microwave is currently tilted, when we tried to contact to repair it, they denied ever installing the microwave. They claim that they had in their records we refused installation and wanted our money back. They had a manager looked it up, and still couldn?t find any place where it was refunded. Last Monday we paid $35.00 for them to come out to look at the microwave. To this day, they still have not done this for us and we have not heard anything.

It was very simple, very easy. They came and installed all in one day. As far as I can tell it is perfect.

We had a lot of work done. It’s a lot of B and C type of a thing. We had a small misunderstanding and difficulty with the weed eater. We bought a weed eater from them and the lady told us about a normal weed eater, she was a little too much. They were not gracious as the people with whom I do business, as they are individual business owners, whereas this is a corporation and we were not treated as an individual. The products we had bought, we had trouble with them. We had a problem with the weed eater, that’s what we were back to them. Some of the boards that were used on the deck were average, but not bad. The price was average and I will still continue to use them in future.

We needed a new water heater and went to Lowe's in Pineville for a consultation. We learned a lot about water heaters and decided to go with them after reviewing a number of listings on Angie's List who showed considerably higher prices. The tech came out on Tuesday, evaluated the situation for $35, advised that our old water heater was on its last legs (we knew this from internet research) and indicated Lowe's could install one that same day. Purchased the water heater over the phone and Lowe's credited me the $35 tech fee, the tech arrived back within 2 hours with new water heater and installed it in less than two hours. Everything works great! We are extremely impressed with the responsiveness, great customer service, and professionalism of Lowe's and the install company (Master Installations, I believe) they used to do the work. I would definitely recommend Lowe's and won't hesitate to ever use them again. Great oeverall experience.

The job went just fine. They knew what they were doing. They came out and did the work. We've had no problems.

The ordering process was pretty seamless. When I received the vanity it did not come with anything to secure it to the wall. I had to wait a couple weeks to fully install it.

Their prices are higher than the other places. They are competitive if I find something identical at Home Depot. One thing I don’t like about them is that I don’t like the bank they use there. They check what your balance is and lower your credit limits. I don’t like the strategy that they use against the consumer. I try not to go to those stores. I don’t shop there anymore because of the finance company they use. Some things I bought from them did not work. They did not give good customer service. They did not have enough people working and there was nobody there to help.People can buy anything there and they don’t ask.

Very good experience. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Arranged for truck rental and doors were delivered same day.

I needed t have 8 foot closet folding doors replaced. I took the measurements and the what the new measurements needed to be for the doors. One set of doors was 8 X 8 and the other 8 X 10. The sketch from the contractor showed exactly what would have to be done and the sizes. The individual figured it out on paper and then gave me a print out. The door measurements were wrong. It is very difficult to find someone to wait on you at this store in particular. You spend too much time walking up the aisles trying to find someone with a Lowes jacket on.

We kept our paperwork on all purchases and if anything ever went bad they'd trade it out. They've gone far beyond in service what one would expect. Example: We bought a refrigerator from them. Later on, it needed repair. Lowe's brought us a replacement refrigerator until ours could be repaired, then offered to sell it to us for a very cheap price. I wish now we had kept it. This company has been good to us. They even fought to get us an extension on our existing warranty... and did.

The sales person at the store explained the pros and cons of different toilets and sold me the one which I needed. The store provides installation service if desired at a reasonable cost and the plumbing contractor even picked up the toilet at the store. This was good service and the toilet has worked great.

They are always good. Their contractors are all very professional. Their sales team was very happy and they helped us out a ton. Their pricing was very good because they were on sale.

The process was extremely well handled from beginning to end! The sales process was smooth and honest. We were told it would take approx. 3-4 weeks after measurement in our home until installation. Two weeks after the measurement the granite was installed and looks beautiful. The workmen (2) were professional and courteous, they left our kitchen spotless!

Please see above. I was happy with everything. There were a few glitches but nothing out of the ordinary and I would use these guys again.

Phil Turner at Lowe's was great to work with. He set up a measuring appointment for us and calculated pricing for a number of options for us, since we were originally looking at doing 1 of the rooms with hardwood. They subcontracted the work out to another company for the measurement as well as for the installation. They got everything done in about 1 1/2 days. We are very happy with their work and the end result. We didn't do a lot of comparison shopping, but I believe we got a pretty good price, since Lowe's had 20% off of special order flooring at that time.

Lowe s contracts the work out and the company they hired was excellent. I stopped by Lowe s on a Saturday and spoke to a sales clerk about carpets. Within 2 days, the carpet company called to set up my measurement appointment. Lowe s called less than 2 days later to let me know my measurements were in. The sales clerk at Lowe s walked me through the process by informing me about my carpet choices and then by going over my invoice in detail. When the carpet arrived (in about 8 days) the carpet installation company called to set up my installation appointment. The master bedroom has odd angles and you can barely tell where the seams are. Very satisfied with my carpet choice and installation.

The end product was satisfactory but the installation process was awful! The installers never kept promises and attempted to install plywood stair risers, a far cry from the solid wood they agreed to in the initial quote. The process required several additional visits and on one occasion the installers were two hours late. My floors look nice but I would never use them again.

Lowe's completely stands by their products.

Phil was very nice to deal with. I was upset when the estimate I was given at first had expired and I was not told it would expire so I ended up paying more than the estimate. It is very good quality carpeting and pad. It feels like your walking on a cloud. The installers were very hard working. They worked for two days and did a wonderful job. Taking pains to have as few seems throughout the house as they could. We were very impressed at how well they did that. They cleaned up after themselves. We are very pleased. As a matter of fact, they are coming back to lay ceramic tile in the entry way next week. If I have anything else like that done through Lowe's, I will definitely ask for the Watsons.
