 + -1 moreJason was very professional every visit to do the work. He was not always punctual and didn't return calls very fast, but he did get the job 98% done. I am still unsure about one of the coax runs.. the wire looks like it's run, but can't find it in the wall and he still owes me a cover to the central box.
Description of Work: Ran Coax/Cat5 throughout the house to 8 locations. Terminated all connections to central location.

 + -1 moreOverall, the installation was unsatisfactory because we could not operate the system once Mr LaVoie left and would not respond to numerous calls. We joined Angie's List to find someone to correct this problem since we still cannot use this very elaborate system. An electronics technician came to our home two times after we were unable to get Mr. LaVoie to respond to our phone calls. An electronics technician could not satisfactorily correct the deficiencies because Mr. LaVoie had incorporated universal remotes (Harmony RF) with which the technician was unfamiliar and which they could not access because Mr. LaVoie had not revealed the passwords to us. In addition our speaker system, which has outlets in multiple rooms in our home, no longer worked properly. Thus we were far worse off after hiring Mr. LaVoie than we were beforehand.
Description of Work: As an employee at a consumer electronics store, Mr. LaVoie designed and agreed to install items we purchased--a new system integrated with our current speaker system. He was contracted and paid to install equipment including Bose speakers, Onkyo system, Sony KDL40XBR2, Toshiba DVD HDMI up-conversion, home theater speakers, configure components, pre-wire for home speakers, and reconfigure an upstairs component. Also provide Harmony RF remotes. He came to our home three times, the first to pre-wire, the second to install and activate some of the equipment, and the third time to install a musical speaker selector. Only later did we find out he was no longer employed by a consumer electronics store and was acting as an independent agent. The two company names he used were Digital Interiors and LaVoie Audio-Video Installation & Design; the addresses and phone numbers were the same for both companies.
