I interviewed Mr. Smith without my partner, as he was out of state. Mr. Smith did not strike me as particularly professional, although this was simply an intuitive response. My partner chose him because of the very low rate (3.45% if I remember correctly). Mr. Smith was not proactive regarding updating us on anything. He did one or two open houses towards the end of the listing. The MLS listing was inaccurate and lukewarm at best. I had to edit it to make it even slightly appealing, although Mr. Smith did have all of the necessary information. We had to continuously contact him to find out about any news, or lack thereof. There was no interest in 90 days but he offered no suggestions to ameliorate this at all. He did ask to renew the contract, but his performance was so lackluster in every way that we declined to do so. He sent a very personally insulting and unprofessional email to me after the contract ended, such that I felt compelled to contact his boss to report it.
Description of Work: Mr. Smith works for a discount real estate agency. He was hired for a 90 day time frame to sell a house at $340,000. His suggested price was $350,000 to $355,000 although other agents we interviewed suggested $325,000. We listed it at $340,000 because of this. Mr. Smith had two open houses, I believe, although neighbors indicated that the only attendees were other curious neighbors, not interested in buying. I cannot confirm this.
