Seller and Buyer BEWARE!!!!! (I wish I can give 0 star) We are in the middle of buying a house. We were interested with the house that ELENA DONALDSON listed. One of the selling points for this house is "basement extended in 2021". We signed the purchase contract (offered top money for this house + willing to put $5,000 due diligence money) only because we really loved the house and the basement. Fast forward, we did the inspection for the house and found out that they don't have a permit for extending the basement and it seems like Elena (listing Agent) did not have any knowledge about this. It is ridiculous to use it as selling point when you don't even have knowledge about what you put as your selling point. Due diligence period will be over in 4 days and we keep going back and forth regarding this. The question we asked is simple "do they have permit to extend basement, if they don't and they do not need a permit, please provide official paperwork from the county to show that". That is material fact that was not disclosed to us before we made our offer. If we knew this will be such an hassle and they didn't have the official paperwork handy to show whether they have the permit or do not need the permit, we would not even place the offer. Even after going back and forth with Elena, this issue is still not resolved and due to her not doing her due diligence as a listing agent, we are losing our $5,000 for something that is material fact not disclosed. The fact that she can't provide that information or have that information handy shows how incompetent she is at her job as listing agent. I really feel sorry for the seller of the house who dealing with her, because of this matter, they will incurred more cost because we are more than willing to escalate this matter to higher level in order for us to get the money back.

The real estate agent failed to submit the contractual weekly reports by the due date. Numerous attempts to address the issue on my part with the real estate agent did not alleviate the issue.
Description of Work: Keller Williams Ballantyne had the task of selling a property in Charlotte, NC, that I owned. A clause in the contract called for the submission to me of weekly activity reports by a specific day in the week. Reports were not submitted by the real estate agent, Jennifer Vick. Numerous complaints to her brought no improvement. I complained to management and a new agent was assigned to sell my home.

My husband and I purchased a home through Keller Williams. The agent had the home listed as having tile countertops in the kitchen, hardwood floors under the carpet, and the seller’s disclosure stated that the heat and air unit worked well. In reality, the countertops were painted and the paint is now chipping like crazy and looks horrible, the buyers took the stove (which was included in the listing), damaging the countertops even more, only one room has hardwoods, and the heat/air unit was undersized for the home, leading to daytime temps of 82 degrees (wreaked havoc on my children with asthma and eczema) with all the doors and window blinds closed and us having to purchase a new unit at a cost of over $7,000. We haven’t been able to have the countertops fixed yet, The cost is roughly $2,900, and shouldn’t have had to worry about that large expense, either. We had four people confirm that the seller lived in the living room of the house, with all the other rooms closed up, and window units on all day long, and the undersized unit (we had it assessed by several companies) still couldn’t keep up. The agent’s response was that the seller said we need to keep it VERY COLD in the house at night so that the air can keep it cooler during the day, and the previous homeowner used window units (so the agent even admitted it was a problem!). So, my children and I should freeze all night and still have to deal with temperatures of 80 degrees during the day? And window units in a quarter of a million dollar house? The seller’s agent kept telling them not to worry about it, that we must be stupid and keep the window blinds and doors open all day (I purchased blackout curtains, trying to help the problem, and we stayed indoors with everything shut tightly), that my neighbors are troublemakers, she just wasn’t willing to help at all, and actually made the situation worse. The Broker-in-Charge was initially no help, but when I mentioned hiring an attorney and reminded her that she would be a part of the lawsuit, assured me it would be taken care of the following week, then wouldn’t respond to calls or emails when I attempted to follow up. I don’t appreciate being lied to, and neither the agent, nor broker-in-charge, acted ethically in this situation. The people in this office do not follow the Keller Williams Values and should be ashamed of themselves, and Keller Williams should look into their business practices
