Jim and his associate installed two ceiling lamps with dimmer switches. Jim is a genial gentleman character but don't let the ''Am shucks'' appearance fool you. He really knows his stuff. He and his buddy efficiently installed the two ceiling lamps in a little over an hour. They were punctual, neat, and did exactly what they said they would. Oh, and they did it for about $150 less than the competition.

I called Jim about 4pm and he was at our home the next morning at 7:30. Very quick service! He and two other men knew exactly what to do and were very professional and polite. We plan to call him again for other needs.

I was very happy with the response from Jim Rowland. He knew exactly what needed to be done just by what I told him on the phone. He came out the same day and replaced the outlet within a 1/2 hour. Other places I called were too busy or didn't even return my phone call. He was thorough, very understanding, and polite.

Mr Rowland was very nice to work with - he has a very busy company so it took a few days to get an appointment. His crew showed up when expected, performed the needed repairs, cleaned up after themselves. Very good experience. I thought the price was a little high but the work was quality and I plan to use this company again in the future.

I was preparing my house for sale and trying to get out of town. Mr. Rowland promptly returned my call and worked me into his schedule. The problem ended up being simple and one that Mr. Rowland remedied quickly. A GFI button in a downstairs bathroom, that controlled the outlets upstairs, needed to be reset. I had no idea that this was the case. The following week, I called to ask him about a problem with my dishwashing. Again, it was a simple problem that he answered over the phone without charging me. Mr. Rowland was polite and very knowledgeable. I am moving out of town, but would highly recommend him to others who need electrical work.

A plug in my kitchen had stopped working. When I pulled the plug to see if the problem was something as simple as a loose wire, I found multiple wires that had melted together. I immediately realized I needed a professional to review this job. I actually joined Angie's List that day to find an electrician after feeling like I had been really taken by a plumber earlier in the week. I found Jim Rowland Electric listed. I called Jim on a Saturday morning to at least leave a message for a monday morning appointment. To my surprise Jim answered and would be able to drop by that afternoon. He and is assistant arrived at the stated time. In just a matter of minutes they had the problem corrected and the plug working. He even provided a brief education on what had happened. I was so impressed with Jim that I have actually signed on to have him update my service panel. They had SUPERIOR service!

Said he would show up at 9:00 am to do work. Showed up an hour and 15 minutes early, left when no one was there to meet him, and said he would have to charge me $100 extra the next time he came out. When I questioned him about our arranged meeting, abruptly told me to hire someone else. (I never told him that I wouldn't pay the extra fee.) Bizarre. Would like to have hired him because he seemed like he'd have done a competent job.

Jim never followed up after scheduling appointment. He was too busy.

I should have asked him what his charges were as I was totally shocked when I asked how much to make the check out for. When he said $175.00 I wondered what he had done other then check a couple of outlets and the fuse box. He did not need to replace anything and it was just luck that he saw the problem upon his second arrival. I had expected to pay about $50 to $75 tops. I feel that was a very unjust charge for what he did and for the amount of time he spent here. This was not even a weekend visit so no overtime or weekend rates were involved. Very disappointed and will never call on him again.

JIM IS GREAT! HE RESPONDS VERY QUICKLY. BOTH TIMES I CALLED, HE CAME THE SAME DAY. HE WAS VERY HONEST; WE THOUGHT WE NEEDED A LOT MORE WORK THAN WE DID. HE COULD HAVE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF US & DONE MORE WORK THAN NEEDED. THE WORK HE DID DO WAS WELL DONE & QUICKLY DONE.

I was very pleased with the quality of work, even though I had never used Jim Rowland Electrical before. I was also able to use my 10% Angie's List coupon and saved $20.00. I will use him again, and I would highly recommend him to others. Also, I was very pleased that he worked me into his schedule the same day I called.

Rowland and staff did an outstanding job. The quality of their work and knowledge of electrical problems and fixing them is amazing.

Jim Rowland was on time and did the work in a lot less time than I had anticipated. His service call was $90.00 and with the 10% Angie's list discount coupon it was reduced to $81.00.

Jim was very friendly and professional. He will be doing some additional work for me and was very upfront about what he did not feel comfortable doing.

As I was moving and having this work done for the new owner prior to closing, Jim was prompt and responsive in providing me with an estimate and actually did this job on a Saturday to accommodate my closing time frame. He and two workers were on time and did a great job. There were a few 'glitches' due to age of this house, but Jim was very knowledgeable of the quirks of older homes.

Jim and his crew were very prompt, courteous, and professional. Performed work within reasonable amount of time at a fair price.

I had several electrical jobs and was looking for estimates. Jim looked at the outdoor lighting problem and just started fixing it. In less than an hour that job was complete and we were glad to have it done since we had been procrastinating on this project. He gave me an estimate on the second job, installing ceiling fans and inside lights but I hired another company. Jim is a nice guy, was on time and did a good job with the outdoor lighting. I hired a different company to do the fans & lights because they had better ideas. I would hire Jim again for the quick & easy jobs.

HE WAS VERY NICE. HE'S SPECIAL. HE'S VERY PUNCTUAL. I CALLED HIM UP AND LEFT A MESSAGE LETTING HIM KNOW MY LIGHTS WENT OUT. I HAD NO HEAT EITHER. HE CALLED ME AT 3:30-4:00 AM AND CAME OVER AT THAT TIME. HE WROTE HIS HOME PHONE# DOWN AND SAID IF I EVER HAVE A PROBLEM AGAIN TO CALL HIM AT E. I HAD TO CALL HIM WHEN MY DRYER WOULDN'T WORK, HE CAME OVER AND FIXED THE SWITCHES THAT HAD TRIPPED. HE'S REALLY REALLY DEDICATED.

I called Mr. Rowland and made an appointment for him to come the next day (1/18.) I explained to him that I was going out of town and was arranging for a friend to meet him. He never showed. I called him, he said he misplaced my address but that he had a person in the area and they could be there in 15-20 minutes. I had my friend go back, no one ever showed. TOTALLY unprofessional behavior. I will never call him for services again.

Jim was on time (a little early even!) and very friendly. They did the work in a timely fashion, and were very reasonably priced. I will definitely call him again.

HE CALLED ME BACK TO FIND OUT WHAT KIND OF CIRCUIT I HAD SO HE WOULD MAKE SURE TO HAVE IT WITH HIM. HE DID THE WORK QUICKLY.
