I called Jim regarding the problem with the light switches and he was able to come out and remedy the problem the very same day. He was prompt, professional and most of all he had fair, reasonable prices!

Chose Rowland Electrical due to strong reviews on Angie's List. Jim answered my first call, and within two days the fans were installed. Workmanship excellent, clean-up excellent as well. I will definitely use Rowland again in the future.

The overall experience was excellent, Jim and his team were professional, punctual and went out of their way to make sure we were happy with the end result of their work. The work was done in the time quoted and was expertly handled. The cost was less than what we had been quoted by another company and seemed comparable to what other homeowners in the area paid.

After seeking several estimates we felt very comfortable with Mr. Rowland and the price he quoted us; which was in the middle of the estimates we received. We were very pleased with the workmanship and the professionalism of Mr. Rowland's crew. One fixture did not work and was replaced in a timely manner. I would use and highly recommend his company again.

I called and got very prompt same-day service. They were even very patient when they arrived and my husband was on a business call and had to have them wait for him (sorry, and thanks!). They thoroughly explained all fixes in writing. The price was very reasonable and the job was done excellently. I will definitely call them again if I need more work done.

He was able to work around my schedule. He still honored the discount even after I had paid in full for everything, and ended up sending me a check. The crew sent out were nice friendly and polite. They did what they could to save me money. They seemed like the really knew what they were doing, I would highly recommend them. This is a company I will call in the future whenever I have a electrical need.

Jim and his colleague went above and beyond my expectations. When they were trying to find out the problem with a breaker, Jim pointed out that our breaker box was not up to code. He did not try to make money off the situation, but instead told me how to handle the situation with the company that did the unsatisfactory work. He was incredibly helpful with this particular situation. In addition, Jim noticed my handmade ''out of order'' sign on my doorbell when he was coming in. While his worker installed the bath fan, Jim had a look at the doorbell and told me how to fix it. This is my kind of service!

After Mr. Rowland answered the phone and I explained the problem and he suggested that I go into the garage and click the GFI switch on the outlet to see if this would reset all the outlets. After doing this the outlets were reset. I didn't need him to visit my home after all. He explained that he didn't want to come out and have to charge a fee for something as simple as this. I appreciated this because we know there are some electrician's that would have came out and charged a fee.

Jim scheduled an appointment. Then came 2 days early, but luckily I was home. He took apart the old system. Told me I needed a new transformer, and left with the parts. I asked for an estimate, but he only told me it depended on the parts. With no more explanation. After a few phone calls and 2 missed appointments. He came back after 4 weeks, and finished the work with an assistant. When he gave me the bill, I told him I was surprised it was so much. He charged $90 for the first visit. Which I thought was a free estimate, then $180+ for parts. Transformer, timer, photocell, and brackets. Two hundred and seventy for 3 more hours work it took them 2. When I told him it seemed too high and tried to negotiate. He simply got very angry, threatened to sue and left! A few minutes later, they came back and dismantled the system in about 2 minutes. Left with all the parts! When I requested the old parts, he only left the old timer. Which was working before they started. Very strange!

Installation was performed well, not much time required for the actual install. 4 trips were required to do the installation because the fixtures purchased in 3 instances would not work. 1st set was too long for the overhang (my fault), 2nd set too small for the house(my fault), the contractor did not advise me to regard the length of the light mount, so the mount on the 3rd set was too long to accommodate the wood frame. Because the worker attached one of the lights in the 3rd set to show me the problem with the mount, the light company would not take it back. After spending another $80 to get a 4th set, it worked fine. Original price quote for the work was $150 before the 10% Angie's List discount. Subsequent to having the work performed, I found that the price quoted was a bit higher than another electrical contractor's. But, given that I could have been charged for the extra service calls, $200 for the overall cost was probably reasonable.

It did not go at all. He never got it touch with me.

He was on time for our first meeting and always took my calls and or called me back the same day. I drove them nuts with call backs on items I forgot! All his workman were nice, clean,and did a outstanding job!!!

I chose to call Jim Rowland based on another member's report. I called Jim and he told me he did not do work in my area. He was very nice, professional, and told me that up front. He even gave me the name and number of someone who does very good work in my area. That was very helpful. Wish I could have hired him, because he was so helpful on the phone.

Called in the morning and he came out, that afternoon. Finished in about 20 minutes. Very good service

We had 5 dead electrical outlets including all 4 in our dining room. Jim and his assistant came within 2 hours of our call and spent almost 2 hours tracking down the problem. Jim had to crawl underneath the house and eventually needed to run about 10-12 feet of new electric cable as the old one had been cut or chewed. This completed the circuit and all the plugs work great now. He seemed to really know his stuff and was very pleasant to deal with.

He did a good job. He came when he said he would. He was in and out and I have no complaints.

He called back only an hour after I left a voice mail message and asked what work I needed to have done (he said he had not listened to the message, but just called back my phone number). I described the work and he said he could come out the next day or possibly the day after (depending on his schedule). He asked me to call him back again right after we hung up to leave my number again, so I called back and left another voice mail with my information. He never called back to do the work. This wasted two additional days of time before I realized he was not going to show up and had to start calling around again to find someone else.

The quality and price were reasonable. Jim was also willing to visit the site and provide an estimate for the requested changes. Some other contractors I contacted were unwilling to do so. As the scope of the work was not large, Jim worked it in between other larger, higher priority jobs, but worked with me to meet requested time frames.

Excellent work was done. He was easy quoting and willing to work with you on how to best accomplish needs within your budget.
