Jim Rowland Electric Co

We hired Jim Rowland to run a new power supply line from our main house to our detached apartment/garage. They had to run a 100 ditch from our house, around our deck and back toward the unit. Jim and his crew are not only efficient and knowledgeable electricians, but they matched our best quote and ensured that we were totally compliant with the inspectors. He'll do a good job. He shows up on time and does what he says he'll do. He is very knowledgeable about what he is doing. His prices are reasonable. He is a friendly and decent guy. I would recommend him.

We contacted them on a Friday afternoon, they came out early Monday morning, called in advance to let us know they were coming. Very friendly and professional. They were quick to fix problem and suggested a way to fix one other issue in room.

Jim Rowland was very responsive to my phone calls, something I always appreciate. I was concerned that since this was such a small job, he wouldn't want to bother with it, but he readily agreed to come out and take care of it. There was actually more to it than I thought--Jim and his assistants had to go into the crawl space under the house to drill a hole through the baseboard and pull the wires through. It took awhile, but the finished product is perfect--a new outlet in the baseboard, behind the chest, so no cords are visible. I would recommend Jim Rowland Electric Co. to other Angie's List members--he does good work.

Jim called me back and made an appointment for a Saturday at my request. He came when he was supposed to and replaced the problem GFI. We have had no trouble since that time. Thank you, Jim!

It as wonderful. He's a real professional. He had to go in the attic and inspect wires. He did a super job and was a very nice man.

The two men were very polite and apologetic, but they charged me $80 for the so-called service call of 15 minutes. I asked for the 10 percent senior citizen discount, but they said no, they had had already reduced the usual service call fee from $120 to $80, and had to charge that. I realize it was my own stupidity that brought them here unnecessarily, but I wonder if they would have charged me $80 for the estimate. If they had done an estimate, they would have known the work did not need doing. The charge seems excessive.

They did good work. The only thing was that Jim told me that he would have someone out in my area at 5:00 but he did not inform me a fee for after hours. However the guys that came out knocked this off and also gave me 10% off the bill.

TWO WORKER'S CAME OUT. THEY BOTH WERE JUST AN UTTER DELIGHT. THEY DID A GREAT JOB. THEY WERE FAST, EFFICIENT, AND CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. THEY WERE PERFECTLY PUNCTUAL AND GOT OUT REALLY QUICKLY AFTER I CALLED. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND HIT THE GROUND RUNNING. THEY WERE ALSO VERY CAREFUL WITH MY PETS. THEY WOULD PET MY PETS AND WERE VERY AWARE OF THEIR SAFETY. I AM VERY PICKY AND I WOULD TRUST THESE PEOPLE TO COME INTO MY HOUSE AND WORK, EVEN IF I WAS NOT THERE. I AM ALREADY LINING UP THE NEXT BATCH OF WORK FOR THEM. THIS PRICE WAS FOR A TWO MAN CREW AND 15 HOURS OF REAL WORK. THEY GOT A LOT DONE QUICKLY. I EVEN TOLD THEIR OWNER THAT I WANTED AN ELECTRICIAN TO GROW OLD WITH AND I BELIEVE THAT I HAVE FOUND HIM.

Called at 8AM, there were 2 electricians (real, live, and licensed) at my home by 3pm! It took about 2 hours overall to track the problem, replace wiring and the new outlets. Seemless. Very professional service. I will definitely call them again with any electrical issues!

Jim came out on 4/10 to give me an estimate. During the visit, Jim gave several solutions on how to resolve the problem. We decided the best way to fix this problem was to open the wall, determine what caused the problem and repair the circuit. After a few phone calls, we set a date of 4/21 for the repair work to be done. He told me he would be at my house at 8:30 am. Jim showed up at 7:45 am with help and had completed the work by 8:30 am. He worked efficiently and all of the outlets in my kitchen work. The only downside is I have to patch the walls because he does not do any drywall work. He did recommend someone for the drywall repair but I decided to patch the walls myself. Other than that he is very knowledgeable about electrical repair.

I called to schedule an appointment for an emergency repair. Jim lead me through a process that fixed the problem while we were talking on the phone. He was very polite and said he hoped to save me money. He did! I did not need a service call. Thanks Jim!!!!

They did a great job. Love the dog. Did a great job and did not try to make an hour and a half job. Did the work in a timely manner and did not try to overcharge.

Great! Jim and his crew were the kind of contractors we all want. A little pricey but well worth it for their professionalism. I would definitely hire them again.

Jim and his crew did an excellent job in every aspect. Jim answered my call quickly and met me on time to discuss what needed to be done. Because the wall of the church was so thick, Jim had to buy a special drill bit which was 30" long. And because this work was for the Memorial Garden at my church, he did not charge anything! It is wonderful to work with someone of such high calibre. If the system allowed it, I would give him A+'s in every category. Jim is storing up his treasures in heaven and he has helped in creating a beautiful place at my church. We will definitely call Jim for any future electrical needs.

Techs were able to come the same day I called. They used several devices to diagnose the problem, and found the culprit outlet very quickly. The price of repair was very reasonable. I was very pleased with the service. I would definitely call them again!

They did very good work, did not make a mess, did not damage the paint as well. It looks like it was made through the house and it all looks great! Very impressed!

They never showed or called. I thought by picking a company with an A rating, we could avoid this type of problem. I understand that things happen and you run behind but a simple phone call could have alleviated this whole situation.

Jim was very easy to contact on the phone and came out to give me a quote the next day. He was able to schedule a very competent group of guys to do the job within a week. We have a 2400 sq ft house and they finished the job in less than a day and were very careful to check that everything was working well and they cleaned up after themselves. They were punctual, very professional and did great work.
