Called to inquire about services. When emphasis was placed on pricing before issue was identified there was no problem, conversation continued. When describing issue to phone rep several questions were asked regarding unit ie. is there an expansion tank etc, My response was I am not well versed in water heaters and I am not sure, what does the part look like? Rep went on and on to say how they should not work on items not up to code. Excuse me, when was that determination made? I am simply calling to repair the unit and am willing and ABLE to pay whatever the cost to have the unit repaired. The heater is only a few years old so I am sure the unit not being up to code was not a problem. Customer service left A LOT to be desired and since I have a choice of where to spend my money I moved on and YOU should too.

JDC was able to schedule me for next day. Plumbers (Dave (?) and Tripp) called prior to arrival, showed up within the expected window, and were done in a reasonable time. They pointed out a toilet that had been installed incorrectly and reset it...we'd been having issues and thought something was wonky with it, so are happy to have it fixed now. Probably not the least expensive, but fair and about what I expected...and I rec'd prompt and professional service. I'm having them send out someone to repair a broken gas lamp outside.

Extremely well. Hvac guys checked out heater and found electrical wiring to the heater was bad. Called electrician and he should up right away. Got it fixed very quick.

Brian did a great job. The whole staff is very helping and professional.

Excellent. Very impressed by how prompt and responsive they are. We had a few follow-up things that needed tended to and I have never had better followup than with them. They have good attention to detail and take pride in their work. They seem very knowledgable and addressed everything in detail that they planned to do.

We needed someone to come out asap since there is tons of water just bubbling up from underneath the ground. I called and was told that no one could come out until after hours so I would have to pay the after hours rate which is $228 an hour!! That's just crazy. Feels like they are totally taking advantage of my emergency situation. I was able to have another company come out right away without being charged excessively. Too bad for this company...we were going to use the plumber again for other work we needed done in our house.

The cartridge was installed incorrectly which made it difficult to remove. The plumber was able to work around the issues and replace the cartridge.

They arrived on time. The installation was excellent and the did a great job of cleaning up after. I would use them in the future!

They were prompt and finished the work relatively quickly. The part itself was overpriced (went to Lowe's to ask afterward) but I didn't mind paying for the service.

Scheduling was quick and accommodating. Service person was prompt and polite. All installations were done quickly and correctly. Some parts needed to be replaced but the service person showed me the problems and for let me decide. Very satisfied.

Just 15 min to repair, they were prompt in coming down and professional. But 150 for hour of work + 20 to put a snake in. Sometimes you need to have flexibility on prices - else not going to use services in future.

They were responsive, reliable and the plumber that came was careful to explain what the issues were and provided helpful information about the water pressure int he house. Very satisfied.

They came and said they fixed the leak. But it was not fixed, they came back and replaced the entire toilet and cost a lot more. We were very unhappy

Jason came out on time and quickly diagnosed the situation. He was right on point and later Clayton came out to assist with cutting out the old pipe and installing the new PVC pipe with vent. Wonderful work at a great price!!! Both gents were great to work with and very professional and nice.

I've used Jim Dickerson Co three times in the past month or so, and every experience has been great. They've done plumbing and electrical work for me, and each time they were able to address and resolve my issue.

Water heater is under warranty (parts only). Manufacturer gave me the name of this provider to perform warranty work. Called provider and scheduled appt. The appointment time window (noon-3pm) was missed. They did call (around 3pm) and said they were running late.. When the tech(David) arrived, I was not impressed with technical abilities. After some tinkering around and head scratching the tech replace the thermal couple but that did not fix the problem. After that failed attempt, I was told they did not have the parts to fix the water heater and that I would be better to order the parts from the manufacturer since it was under parts warranty. So after paying a $142 and still having a broken water heater I was not happy. I did use an Angie's list $15 off coupon, so that helped a little. I ordered the part the tech told me to ordered but it ended up being the wrong one and would not fix the problem. I was told it was my fault that I ordered the wrong part (which was a lie). Again this is not very good customer service that I have to order warranty parts I have no little knowledge about. After the service call, I started watching youtube videos about diag water heater problems. The tech did not perform any of the basic troubleshooting steps. Many of which use a volt meter. The service tech never used a volt meter during his visit. Now from my expectation of the provider, I was hoping and expecting one call and the provider would take care of everything. Especially when the Manf recommended them. I was also told that if I used another provider to do the repair work that I would violate my warranty. I called the manf and confirmed that this was also a lie. As long as it was a licensed provider, warranty would be honored. I will not be using this Jim Dickerson company again for any work and will be telling other people as well. On a side note: I really pains me that out of 6 companies (all rated highly on Angie's List) I have called for service after this service call, These companies seem that they all are geared to get money for a service call only to tell you that they do not have the parts to fix it and/or will NOT give you a set price for replacing a part. Seems to me they are all out to tell you that the water heater needs to be replaced.

The dishwasher flooded the kitchen cabinet on the drain cycle. I called on Monday morning and the person who answered the phone scheduled a call for that day. Branden arrived early afternoon as promised. He first established that the drain was clogged, and clearing that took several tries with a very long electric gadget. Next he found that the Studer vent, which is supposed to vent steam but block water, was defective and he replaced it. (See what you learn as a homeowner? Studer vents. Who knew?) Most of the drain plumbing under the sink was loose, so I asked him to replace that as well. Afterwards he cleaned up everything and replaced all the cleaning supplies and other stuff that stays under the sink. Everyone I dealt with understood the problem and what to do, and they were friendly and sympathetic. It was as pleasant as could be for a water problem.

These guys were great. Super responsive. Answered the phone immediately. Scheduled a time - and came when they said they would which was terrific. They made the fix and accepted the coupon. Is was easy and I will absolutely use them again. I also asked them for a price on further work and they took pictures and called the next morning. There is a reason they have an A rating.

It went really well. I called them this morning to schedule the work and they came out same day just a few hours later. They actually called to see if they could come earlier than the arrival window I was given. I only had a few things that needed to be done and they knocked them right out. Don was the main electrician and Josh was his helper. Don is very experienced and made sure I understood everything they did before they left. I am going to have them do some additional work and I wish I would have been prepared to have it done on this trip.

Tech Joe came out within an hour of his scheduled time and promptly got to checking the thermostat area of the heater. He found the reset button needing resetting and did so. We had a power failure a few days ago in the windy weather and the button had been tripped off. He told me about reset buttons on sink disposals and other electrical devices that might be affected by a power outage. He also told me it would take the tank about and hour to reheat the water. He then checked a secondary problem discovered by my wife: a leak under one restroom toilet tank. Joe showed me the rusted bolts inside the tank and set about replacing them, after vacuuming water out of the bowl. He also replaced a tank gasket. He left the work areas clean. Joe made out a bill for $158.00, less an Angie's List discount. Later, that evening, when my wife went to take a shower, she told me the hot water was out again. The next morning, a Saturday, I phoned the Dickerson Co. again and a Tech, Brian, was sent to my home shortly after 2 pm. He immediately removed the plates on the hot water tank and found a damaged/burned wire that he felt was the cause of the problem. He proceeded to test the current to the unit and the elements. Her then replaced the two elements and thermostats, after draining the tank, refilled the tank and flushed the air out of the lines. He also checked a pressure valve after my wife expressed her belief that the water pressure had fallen. He also explained the difference between water volume and water pressure to her. Brain gave us a bill for $120, charging only for parts. He also left a clean work area as he left after about 2 hours of work. Needless to say, we were both happy with the work and the bills, despite two attempts to solve our problem! Talking with another tech on the phone during our initial call, I was told that a new heater could cost upwards of $1200. Joe and Brian both seemed intent on saving us money and helping us keep our ten-year old water heater as long as we could. Joe felt it was mainly the reset button and was not asked to stay the hour or so we needed to test the water to see if it had actually heated! Brain took the next steps in testing the other elements of the heater and replacing them as they were needed to complete the job.

After doing all the repairs for less than expected, he explained how to prevent future damage to outside water sources. Very polite and informative. We though he was coming to give and estimate but since he had everything needed on his truck, he did the repairs right away.
