Description of Work: We contracted with JFK for a master bath renovation. We asked for quotes from several contractors before settling on JFK. We are very happy with our decision. JFK provided references up front without our asking. All business was handled very promptly and professionally. The contract price was very fair and fit our budget. We sourced some of our vendors ourselves and they worked with that. We are recommending JFK to anyone who asks about our renovation. We wouldn't hesitate to utilize their services again.

Description of Work: Finished storage room. I am happy with the completion, but was unhappy with a couple of the people contracted in to do the work. The owner was not on sight during the project and I had to inform him of several deficiencies in the work. One contractor did not clean up after himself and I had to come home and vacuum the brand new carpet that was installed. Very unprofessional! In spite of it all, I am pleased with the final outcome.

+ -1 moreJFK Construction was extremely helpful, and very forthcoming with the information. They were very top-notch on the phone. The call was about 5 minutes long. I got the information that I needed. They had the information readily available. They had good phone etiquette and a pleasant tone.
Description of Work: I had a phone conversation with JFK Construction. I was trying to find out the name of one of there sub-contractors.

+ 0 moreVery well. The company gave us an estimate and we knew what to expect whenever we decided to add or upgrade. Weekly progress reports were submitted. Most of the subcontractors did great work. The project manager did an excellent job.
Description of Work: New master bathroom with dual walk-in closets. New family room, vaulted ceiling. All brick exterior to match existing brick.

+ 1 moreIt went better than we expected. It was completed by our target finish date. I did have the finish date written on the contract, though, which I would recommend. I would hire JFK again and am excited about our new 'space'. If you have the ability to tell them exactly what you want and monitor the project on a daily basis. I think you will be very happy. We had our own plans and also hired our own structural engineer to get the process started. Which I would recommend as well. That way JFK can give you an accurate, detailed quote regarding exactly what they will and will not do. We did the flooring carpet and all of the painting and priming ourselves which ended up being cheaper in the end but it was hard work painting two ceilings.
Description of Work: JFK did a major remodel for us. They were here for a solid month. We had a vaulted ceiling in our great room and they made two new rooms out of one. From ripping our old roof off to putting in new floor/roof/ceiling/closets, etc., they did it all. We interviewed several contractors. Went with JFK because they fit the time frame that we needed. They were right in the middle of all of our quotes. We were in constant communication with the job super. Which I would highly recommend so that nothing gets overlooked. Were very impressed by their promptness in the timing of the work. As well as their detailed paperwork and payment plan. The head carpenter, John, is a hardworking employee and lead his team daily to do the task at hand. They never took breaks or lunch. And worked all the way through from 8 to 4 every day.

+ -1 moreMY ONLY COMPLAINT WAS THAT WE NEVER HEARD BACK FROM THE OWNER, FRED KATZ, TO RECEIVE AN ESTIMATE FOR SOME ADDITIONAL WORK. BUT OVERALL, JFK DID A FABULOUS JOB & WE WOULD PROBABLY USE HIM AGAIN.
Description of Work: PAINTED EXTERIOR OF HOUSE. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS. THEY GAVE A TIMELY, REASONABLE & ACCURATE ESTIMATE ON COMPLETING THE WORK. THE ACTUAL PAINTERS WERE EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS, CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES, WERE POLITE & RESPECTFUL & DID A VERY GOOD JOB.
