After conducting an initial vendor selection process, and having confirmed their capabilities and quality in large part via Angie's List, we selected Jenkins to partner with the Board of Directors of our HOA (where I was a director and assigned "lead" on this project) and the members of the Architectural Committee (where I am a member) to handle everything from the initial damage assessment and immediate, emergency repairs, the scoping of the project, help in negotiating with the insurance company on our behalf, helping to select additional speciality resources, securing all materials and resources needed, providing onsite oversight and management of the work, holding periodic quality inspections and handling any one-off, owner "challenges." We opted for a full service provider like Jenkins as the damage to our buildings spanned several items including roofs, roof vents, metal work, gutters/downspouts, windows, doors,screens and more, and we wanted someone reputable AND who had the scope and resources necessary to manage the work over all of those items simultaneously. "One-stop-shopping" if you will. Jenkins is headquartered in Virginia, and one or two of our home owners were concerned about jenkins' lack of a local presence. In fact, they do have a representative office here in the Charlotte area, and their was never a time where any of us in the Community "felt" a distance. They (and their representatives and subcontractors) were extremely responsive, rapidly responding...most times in person ...to any enquiry or need of the Board or any individual owner. They were always professional, polite and considerate. The kind of folks you can trust and...perhaps...even have a beer or two with. Top notch. They held to the terms of the contract. The quality of the work and materials was solid. It was completed on schedule and in a manner that ensured the highest quality and satisfaction. They kept the area clean throughout the project, and any "collateral damage" that is sometimes associated with a large construction project within an active community was kept to a bare minimum of minor issues. Again, very responsive at the Community, Board, Committee and individual owner level. We only have a few items to finish off but I am confident in saying that we have been very pleased with Jenkins Restoration, their work, and their people. God forbid we have another storm like this but in the event we do, I for one would not hesitate reaching out to these folks again. I know I am risking leaving folks out here but Drew Bradley, Kevin McKernan (Manager of the Charlotte area office) and Mike Nelson were our primary contacts, with head-office and local branch assist from Jared Jenkins and other key resources.

It went very well. They responded very quickly ( we had told them we were expecting a lot of company soon for a wedding; not sure if that was a factor). The tech, Graham, brought fans, a large dehumidifier, and a special mat that ventilates the floor to draw water vapor out directly from where the damage was. It was several days of loud blowers going, but in the end the floors were saved with only slight cupping remaining. I can't say enough good things about the tech and his project manager Mike Nelson. They are excellent in terms or responsiveness, knowledge, and understanding family's anxieties when things like this happen. Highly recommended.

Very professional. Arranged furniture removal/replacement. Dealt with insurance company and floor contractor. All was handled very professionally.

My initial contact w/Jenkins Restoration was thru my home owners insurance company re: water damage on a bedroom ceiling. I worked directly with Joe Birkmeyer, very professional; prompt, courtesy and knowledgeable. Joe arrived at the agreed upon time, examined the damaged ceiling and attic. After examining the attic Joetold me that before he had his contractor come in, I should have the foundation checked.....which Jenkins does not do, so this info was completely in my interest. His honesty and consideration is not common in this industry. After foundation work was completed, there were many cracks and gaps in my walls. I was most anxious due to the damage as it seemed to me impossible to repair completely. I called Joe to have another look. He assured me Jenkins Restoration would have it llooking like new....and they did! My walls are repaired and repainted and look like new, just beautiful. Do not hesitate to use Jenkins and Joe. I would give them and A+ for cleaning up a vandalism from a rock that had been thrown through my living room window and boarding up the window. However, I had difficulty getting and estimate from them to replace the window pane, which they told me they were willing to do if I had the time to wait on them, except they never did give me an estimate.

After my initial call to the company, a rep came within one hour. They had to do a temp repair while here. I was very upset due to the home break-in and everyone from the company was very nice, professional and very sympathetic. A few days later they came and gave me a complete estimate for the door replacement and other damages that were done to the house (floors, siding, etc.). This rep was again very professional and nice. They even let me know about an upgrade - I could go ahead and replace the French doors with ones that already included the blinds. A few days after that they actually came and replaced the broken door. They arrived exactly when promised. A supervisor came to the house to check on the work and I felt very valued as a customer. The gentlemen that actually replaced the door were pleasant. I actually work in the insurance field and personally assist customers with water damage, fire damage, etc. I would recommend Jenkins to anyone that has damage to their home. They made a very scary situation much better and their work was terrific.
