I am not happy with it. I thought it was okay, but the quality of the granite that we got, even though I picked it out, I really felt was not the same quality as what I had originally picked out. There was definitely flaws. I think it should have been different counter top. It was all included in my contractor's price.
Description of Work: They repaired the granite counter top that they installed.

I would NOT recommend Intown Granite. The beginning of my experience was great, but then it ended badly. I went to the showroom not realizing you needed an appointment, but Kim fit me in and was extremely helpful. She answered all the questions I had at that time and was very prompt getting me my quote. I decided to go with Intown Granite and thought I made the right decision. The templater came out and made the template and told me I would need corbels for our island and I would have to go to Home Depot or Lowes to get them because they don’t provide them. He made it sound so easy, but when I went to both those stores the associates I asked for help were surprised the company installing the granite wouldn’t provide them, but directed me to the little selection they had. Two days before install I called to see if I could change my install date to Monday, but that did not work for Intown Granite, which I understood and just asked for the latest appointment they had on Friday. Richie was very accommodating with this request. Then the installers came on Friday. They did the tear out and disconnected our plumbing under the sink. When doing this they only shut off the valves below the sink. When they were done with the install at first glance everything looked ok, other than they installed the island counter differently then it previously was, which I had stated I wanted the counters installed the same way. I didn’t mind it so I did not ask them to fix this mistake. When I asked about the corbels they said I did not need them on the island (due to the difference on how the counter was installed), but I did need them on the bar. This surprised me because no one had mentioned this to me before. Other than that all they told me was that they recommended not reconnecting the plumbing for 24 hours. They left and at that time I thought everything was ok. I wanted to fully let everything set so I pretty much stayed out of the kitchen until Sunday because we had also had our floors redone. When I went in on Sunday morning I noticed that one of our outlet covers was not drilled fully into the backsplash they installed. Then they left the oven sticking out, but when we pushed it back in I noticed there was a gap in-between the oven and the one counter and that counter was not completely covering the cabinetry. So, I sent Intown Granite pictures, asked a few questions, and also mentioned how the island was installed differently than we had discussed, but I was ok with it. We had a plumber scheduled to come out on Monday to reconnect the plumbing under the sink, but for some reason Sunday night I decided to open the cabinet and that is when I found a pool of water in the cabinet and the bottom of the cabinet had buckled. Apparently one of our valves was leaking and no one told us. I sent Intown Granite pictures and an email Sunday night and left a voicemail. On Monday I received a call from Richie saying he could come out and fix the outlet cover and gap, but couldn’t do anything about the damage under the sink. I lost my cool, which I am sorry I lost it on Richie, but expected the company to do something about this. He said the operations manager would call me back. When Lisa called she said regarding the island the installers just installed it like they normally would, and maybe they could not tell from the picture how it should have been. In my opinion even if they couldn’t tell from the picture they removed the old one which was setup the way we wanted it to be so why would they not have even asked, not a big deal, but just thought this would be discussed. Then she said that the templater did tell me that the bar would need corbels, which he did not, and I even have an email from Lisa saying that the island would need them, but nothing about the bar. Then regarding the leak she said it was not leaking when the installers left. It must have started after. At this point I was very upset because to me it just sounded like excuses and she had an answer for everything. In the end she said Richie would come out and fix the outlet, the gap and the island if we wanted and that corporate does not sit on matters like the damage under the sink and either her or someone from corporate would get back in touch with me. Richie came out and fixed all the granite just the way we wanted it and we decided to leave the island counter as is. After he was done I received an email from someone in Atlanta (corporate headquarters) that I had never dealt with previously with an invoice for my outstanding balance. I responded back that I wasn’t submitting the authorization form until I found out how the damage under my sink would be resolved because I hadn’t heard back from Lisa or corporate yet. After that email I received a call from Atlanta. I was told that the fixes with the granite vs the plumbing were 2 separate issues and did I agree that the granite was fixed. I said yes and he said the plumbing was a home owners insurance issue. We went back and forth for awhile, but in the end he said that the leak happened after his guys left because what benefit would they get from not notifying me. All I am saying is nothing under the sink was leaking until his installers touched it and no one had touched anything under the sink from that time until when the pool of water was discovered. If valves can start leaking when no one is messing with them and they are leaving the plumbing disconnected, why would they not say to keep an eye on it or you may want to put something under it just in case. This was something that could so easily have been avoided and now I am left to deal with the damages.

Description of Work: Our visit to their showroom was a pleasant experience. We were able to look at the slabs on their lot, and the representative was extremely professional and was helpful in advising us on a choice of granite. We were hoping their quote would be below others, but it was a bit higher. If cost were not such a consideration, I would have definitely chosen this company.

THE TECHS THAT ARRIVED, COVERED ALL THE FLOORING FROM THE FRONT DOOR TO THE KITCHEN. THEY WERE EXTREMELY CAREFUL WITH THE GRANITE BACK SPLASH THAT WAS ALREADY IN PLACE. THEY WERE ALSO CAREFUL OF THE KITCHEN FLOOR. THEY HAD A VERY POWERFUL SHOP VAC THAT COLLECTED THE DUST FROM DRILLING THE HOLES FOR THE KITCHEN FAUCETS. AFTER THE INSTALLATION, THEY VACUUMED EVERYTHING AND SEALED THE GRANITE TO THE CABINETS. WHEN THEY WERE ALL DONE, THEY APPLIED A SEALER TO THE GRANITE. WE HAD SEVERAL CONTACTS WITH THE OWNERS OF INTOWN TO MAKE SURE WE WERE SATISFIED. WE WOULD CERTAINLY RECOMMEND INTOWN GRANITE OF CLT.
Description of Work: REMOVED ALL THE OLD COUNTER TOPS IN THE KITCHEN & HAULED THEM AWAY. THE NEW GRANITE COUNTER TOP WAS EXACTLY THE COLOR WE PICKED OUT IN THEIR STORAGE YARD. THE NEW COUNTER TOP FIT LIKE A GLOVE. MY WIFE IS EXTREMELY THRILLED WITH THE NEW GRANITE.

AMAZING!!
Description of Work: We had our old laminate countertops removed and beautiful granite installed in our kitchen and master bath. Amanda and Guy were such a pleasure to work with as they were beyond patient with our questions and so helpful picking out our slabs. The prices were very comparable and for the quality of work they did, beyond our expectations. Our bath & kitchen were completely transformed and look amazing. Amanda's work ethic, demeanor and laid back attitude made all the difference - she was absolutely a pleasure to deal with and we never felt ANY pressure. She was fantastic. I can't recommend them enough. GREAT people.

The experience was good. I would tell others that they would be a good company to choose. They have good selections, and provide good customer service. I didn't compare their price, so it will be hard for me to grade them.

I scheduled a time with Amanda to discuss options and to look over granite samples. Intown Granite was having a special (from the southern spring show) so I selected one of the stones on special. The special included a stainless steel undermount sink. Amanda did a rough measurement for the quote which I received promptly. Since my plan was to tile the kitchen floor also - we needed to do that first. Once the floor project was scheduled Guy came out to make the template, discuss the project and review the placement of the seams (we have two very long countertops). I stopped by the office one day to confirm the sink, edging style/shape and to see the slabs of granite and the pieces that were already cut. The crew showed up on time, removed the existing countertop, installed the granite, cut the holes for the faucet, polished the granite and cleaned up. All very professional and neat and fast. It was a pleasant experience from start to finish.

We started remodeling our kitchen 7 months ago and picked out our granite at that time. Intown Granite had a great selection of exotic granites from which to choose. The staff (Amanda, Guy, Lisa & Marlize) couldn't have been more helpful. Because we are do it yourselfers, we picked out our granite long before we were ready for it to be installed. Intown held it in their warehouse until last week, when we were finally ready. They didn't bug us about it and were great when I needed to "visit" the slab to match up cabinet and paint colors. They spent a lot of time with us during the templating process to be sure we were completely satisfied with the layout and Guy then spent a lot of time working the granite so that the one and only seam had a smooth flow with the veins of the stone. The result was just beautiful! The whole process couldn't have been more pleasant. This is a wonderful group of people to work with. They take pride in what they do, and it shows. We found their prices to be lower than other places we contacted as well. We would highly recommend this company to anyone.
