The owner (John - not the correct spelling) did the job himself. The floor looks amazing. I am picky and paranoid, I was flinching whenever the topcoat roller got near a carpet edge or baseboard but the work was precision. Also, there was no dust or any other mess to deal with. There were a few small paint splatters left, which were visible after the top coat dried. I would say he got over 90%. This is partly my fault, as I probably should have stayed and been a paint-splatter-spotter while he was cleaning, as opposed to walking the dogs. Regarding price, the job took a little over 2 hours so the hourly rate was about $200/hour. It might seem high, but clearly John was highly experienced and therefore very efficient, so I consider this a fair price for work performed.

John did exactly what he said he would, when he said it would be done, and there were no surprises. His workers showed up at 7:00 (or before) in the morning and worked until at least 7:00 every night. There was barely any dust left over from the work, and they did an outstanding job!! John's price was the best we received (about $1500 less than the others) and his workmanship was excellent. He and his workers were polite, friendly and on time. He promplty returned our phone calls. We had to move out for 6 days, but everything was as we left it. John called us to update us on progress. The only thing we didn't expect was the fumes on the day we returned. Plan an extra day or two to let your house air out before moving in! We can't recommend his company enough, and we have already recommended him to 3 people!

When he showed up he said he would have no problem doing the work and that he had a product strong enough to survive the massive amount of traffic the floor receives. We scheduled to have the work done,in which I would have to close my store for two days. They showed up and did the work they were supposed to do, it took two days as they told me. I was pleased initially with the work. After about a week the floor started peeling and scratching badly. I called and asked him to return my call or come by the store. It took a week for him to return my call, only after I threatened to have my attorney call him. When he came to see it he said he would fix it the next week with a different product. I would have to be closed for 3 days this time. He and his wife came to fix the floor. They did not sand the deep scratches that had occurred when the first work had been done, but atleast it was done and I could reopen. Three months later the fllor is peeling horribly and looks really bad.

The Good: The work itself was done well, and floors look great. They had the best overall price and gave a good discount for cash on top of that. The Bad: They were supposed to show up at 8 am on the first day and did not show up or call. We finally called them and they said they were running behind on another job and would be there around 11. They did begin work that day. The workers dumped some sawdust, etc. on front lawn under a pine tree. About 2 hours after work was complete on last day (and they left with a cash payment) the area under the tree started to smoulder and caught fire. We didn't end up catching it for an hour or so; we were able to put the fire out, but tree was damaged and will need to be removed, and now there is a black area of grass around tree. We were going to cut the tree down anyway, so not a huge deal, but still, it could have been a LOT worse. We did not receive a response from company when we called about the fire.

Very knowledgeable and patient with my questions. Floor was uneven (very old house), water damaged in places, and old finish had worn off in traffic areas. Looks great now! Loved the crew, too.

They did an excellent job. They were very professional, very fast, and very pleasant.

Great Job! Ioan was very timely in coming out to give us an estimate as well as performing the actual work. They even had to do some re-sanding ( our fault - the dog escaped up the stairs before the first polyurethane was completely dry). Next year we are going to do another area in the great room as well as having the existing hardwoods downstairs resurfaced. We will definitely use I C Hardwood Floors again.

John did good work. He was very responsive to providing a quote and doing the work. I felt that the price he charged was on the high side given the couple hours it took him to do the job.

We have not had the work done yet, but we made an appointment for an estimate. John showed up early, made measurements, etc. and he couldn't have been more professional or nice. We will probably go with him for the work on our floors, but right now we are awaiting another estimate and the finalization from our insurance company. So far his price has been the best, and his quote the most thorough so far!

Returned my call in a timely manner. He concurred with the insurance company to wait sometime for the floor to dry out before evaluating for repair.

I have called 4 times and no one has called me back.

Absolutely great. Showed on time for the estimate and repair. The owner of the company is a master cabinet maker by trade, so his abilities are superior. The work is beautiful. His other workers are skilled and courteous. You will be very pleased.

The floor looks good, but they dented my refrigerator, and scuffed the baseboards, walls, and toe kicks, plus left polyurethane residue on the refrigerator.

Ioan and his crew were on time for the quote and for the installation. They were able to work us into a fairly busy schedule to help us meet some other dates for our kitchen remodel. They did a wonderful job -- the line between the new and old floors is well blended. He provided great advice on stain color and finish and he and his crew did fantastic work. We will definitely use his services again and recommend him to others!

COMMUNICATED PROMPTLY, SHOWED UP ON TIME, DID A GOOD JOB, KEPT ALL PROMISES, CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES, PROVIDED AFTER SALES SERVICE.

FANTASTIC JOB. IOAN(PRONOUNCED JOHN) IS VERY RESPONSIVE AND CUSTOMER FOCUSED. WHEN THE LAST COAT WENT ON I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THE WAY IT LOOKED AFTER IT DRIED. THERE WERE IMPERFECTIONS THAT WERE VERY OBVIOUS. I CALLED IOAN ON A SUNDAY AND HE CAME OUT A FEW HOURS LATER. HE LOOKED AT IT AND AGREED INSTANTLY THAT IT WAS NOT RIGHT. HE CAME BACK AND RE-DID IT FIRST THING THE NEXT MORNING. HE OFFERED TO DO IT THAT SUNDAY NIGHT BUT I DECLINED. FINISHED JOB LOOKS GREAT. I HAVE USED IC HARDWOOD FLOORING IN THE PAST AND HAVE NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED.

IOAN AND HIS CREW DID AN EXCELLENT JOB PUTTING IN THE NEW KITCHEN FLOOR. THEY ARRIVED WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD AND STAYED UNTIL THE JOB WAS FINISHED. THEY CLEANED UP THOROUGHLY, TAKING ALL OF THE DEBRIS WITH THEM. THEIR PRICING WAS THE BEST WE'D FOUND. THE WORKMANSHIP WAS EXCELLENT. ONE OF THE CHALLENGES WAS BUTTING THE NEW FLOOR UP AGAINST AN EXISTING FLOOR AND IOAN MADE THEM MATCH UP PERFECTLY. WE HAVE RECOMMENDED THEM TO FRIENDS AND WOULD CERTAINLY USE THEM AGAIN.

I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED THEY NEVER EVEN CALLED TO SAY THEY WERE TOO BUSY OR JUST NOT INTERESTED IN OUR JOB.

THEY WERE INSTALLED INCORRECTLY. THE GLUE IS COMING UP THROUGH THE FLOOR IN MANY DIFFERENT PLACES. DID NOT PUT THRESHOLDS IN DOOR WAYS. I AM VERY DISGUSTED.

I'M VERY SATISFIED WITH THE QUALITY OF WORK, SERVICE, AND PRICE; AND WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY HIGHLY.

MY 70 YEAR OLD FLOORS LOOK GORGEOUS-BETTER THAN I EXPECTED. WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULT, AND WERE SURPRISED AT HOW LITTLE DUST WAS LEFT OVER AFTER THEY CLEANED UP. THEY WERE LATE THE FIRST MORNING OF THE JOB, BUT OTHERWISE WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THE JOB.

JOHN AND HIS CREW WERE EXCEPTIONAL. THEY STARTED THE JOB WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD, AND STAYED WITH IT UNTIL IT WAS COMPLETE. THEY WERE COURTEOUS AND DID THE JOB WITH MINIMUM DISRUPTION. JOHN DOES NOT REMOVE THE FURNITURE SO WE HIRED SOMEONE ELSE TO DO THAT.
