Called same day... came within in a week of when he said he would; charges reasonable; cleaned all hardwood area with a solution without asking. Would recommend him as reliable for a small job, although I don't think he prefers small jobs. I told him I was going to put my house on the market and was having a hard time finding someone, so he came and did the job.

Ioan, the owner, answered my call and agreed to come out within two days to give us an estimate. He showed up on time and was very professional. What impressed me the most was that he didn't sell me anything. While he could have easily told me that we needed a whole new sub-floor and hardwoods, he instead explained that the wood was okay and that it would dry within the next couple of months. He also agreed to come out again within two months to take another look at the floors to make sure that everything was okay. He didn't charge us to come out to make this assessment and if there is no work needed when he comes out again, he will not charge us for this. Needless to say that I will use this company for any and all flooring repairs or installation needs that I have in the future.

They were professional, answered the phone each time I called. They showed up to my property on time for the estimate and again on time for the actual job the next day. They did a fantastic job, worked quickly, then cleaned up their mess and then some. I would recommend them to others considering their services.

Ioan came back out when I had a couple of concerns. He corrected the problem without any question very quickly. He was overall a pleasure to work with.

He is a wonderful person and was a pleasure to have in my home.

They came out for an estimate and then we decided to hire them to do the work. They told us we would be able to move in on January 8th. He brought the wood over on the 20th of December. When they installed the floors they damaged the newly painted walls, and left large gaps in the flooring. We contacted them right away informing him of our concerns. By the end of the job the gaps were still there and he didn't replace a step that was supposed to be replaced. We contacted him again regarding our concerns. He did doctor up the steps to make them look better. We were able to move in finally on January 23rd and a week later the step was finished. All and all this wasn't a good experience and we're not satisfied with the way things look. After he installed the floors the vent cover wouldn?t fit so he just left them off. We couldn?t find our cat, and found her stuck in the vent. She was there for three days and we were lucky to find her!

Ioan was at first very responsive and provided an estimate for the work to be completed within a couple of days. The work started as scheduled. The problems were as follows: 1) Installation crew knocked many holes in the kitchen and foyer walls and scuffed up the rest of the walls, 2) splashed stain on base molding; I had to go back and repaint ALL of the base molding, 3) bubbles in the floor after application of polyurethane; these were removed at our request, 4) circular scratches all over the floors in the kitchen and foyer from the sander; we were told there is nothing they can do to fix this, and 5) knocked a hole in a closet door; Ioan tried to fix it, but it looks horrible. He was unresponsive after the problems started and we had to leave multiple voice mails before receiving a return phone call. He scheduled to make repairs and did not show or call; my husband had to take off work to be home for this. He did credit us some money in order for us to have the walls repaired.

He was excellent in his responsiveness. This is a gentleman of great integrity. He does his work with old world artistry. He is able to solve technical problems with a vast array of knowledge and skill. He just knows every trick in the book.

John is a nice guy and ultimately did ok, however, the issues were as follows: 1. I scheduled the work to occur over spring break so the family could go to the beach while I moved out the furniture and supervised the work. Work started a day late and finished 4 days late. Waves in the floor after first coat of poly had to redo. Family had to stay at the beach 2 extra days. Still see some waves in the finish. 2. I asked that a threshold piece and quarter round next to the cabinets not be installed. This was not followed requiring me to rip these out so that I could finish cabinet work. 3. Broke the chandelier over my kitchen table. 4. I asked for a landing to be sanded, but they buffed and finished. Did not turn out well, although they returned to finish. Looks better, but still has bubbles. 5. Splashed stain on base molding. 6. Did not cut door trim neatly. 7. Sloppy job on quarter round installation. 8. Failed to fill all holes in hardwood before finishing.

Job took 4 days and went very well. Carpet was removed and flooring installed in one day. The finishing took 3 days and the floors came out great.

The job was done well; however, they did show up 2 days late after we had all the furniture moved out.

We were not happy at all with the work. There were many problems. They did not show up on time, and did not call. They were supposed to do one step the first morning and come back that afternoon, but they never came - I called and was told the crew was still busy doing something else. Overall, they rushed through the finishing job and were very, very sloppy with many problems. There were sanding marks along the edges of the floor, where they used an orbital sander and did not sand out the sander marks. There were places where the varnish was not applied in the second coat, because they rushed and were not careful. There were rough spots where they did not sweep well enough to get the sawdust up before varnishing. They got stain and varnish on my woodwork, doors, etc. and ruined our front mat. I don't think they put enough coats of varnish on some of the floors. They came back and improved on the job, but it definitely is still not right.

He was on time and did what he said he would do. He was polite and cleaned up well.

The owner was prompt and efficient when providing a quote. The crew showed up on time the day scheduled. They took two days to do the job. They used a sander with a vacuum and we turned off the HVAC during sanding. We had discussed as part of the quote that the vacuum would not catch all the dust, and, as expected, some dust needed to be cleaned up afterward, mainly on the counters and walls. The crew turned on the heat and locked up when they were done without problem. The finished floors looked better than when new, though not all flaws from the original builder's installation were eliminated. The final price included an Angie's list discount but they were not the cheapest quote.

Jon and the guys at IC did a wonderful job on our floor. They were a pleasure to work with. We will definitely have them refinish the other floors in our house in the future.

Overall, I was satisfied with the quality of the wood and the workmanship. Our particular job was finished in one day, but the subs did have to return to replace a couple of boards which had small dents in them. Iona also returned to fix some small areas which were creaking or slightly uneven. I learned that there is some settling that takes place. Iona was always good about responding to my calls and he & his staff are very professional. I had gotten other estimates which were less expensive, but I chose IC because of their rating on Angie's List.

I had used this company previously, and had been pleased with the work. This time, there was a big communication gap regarding appointments, requiring three reschedules. Ioan gave me a verbal cost estimate (I should have gotten it written) of $300, which he said was his minimum price. He came with two workers, who were very diligent. They buffed and polyurethaned the floor the first day. We were to have two more coats of polyurethane. The next day, Ioan came alone, and polyurethaned, but did not clean the floor first. Dust and dog hair had floated into the kitchen, and now was sealed into the floor. I complained, and they buffed and polyurethaned again. There is still dirt and hair in the floor, but that is not the biggest problem. The price went from $300 to $418! Ioan said that the $300 was for cash, not a check. Makes me wonder how much of his business is actually taxed!

John kept in contact with me the entire time. Came to house on time each day. Clean up was excellent. The finished work was beautiful. I would definitely recommend IC Hardware to others and I will definitely use again when I do the upstairs. John's estimate was the most reasonable of any that I had received.

They were professional but expensive. The job was well done. You can't see the place he patched at all. The floor scuffed quickly but that's probably our fault.

Mr. Capatina impressed me from the start, with his service by coming to my home almost immediately and giving me not only a great quote for the work done. I was impressed with his manner and his professionalism. His worker, Miguel, was also very pleasant and a hard worker. My floors came out fantastic. You would never have known that these floors are probably 30+ years old, and now they look better than new. Thank you I.C. Hardwood Floors, Inc. and thank you Angie's List for helping me make the right decision. By the way, I plan on using this same company down the road when we build our new home.

Very responsive. Owner was available at all times. Workers were courteous and friendly. Flooring came out beautiful.
