Horne Heating and Air Conditioning

I was most impressed with this Horne Heating and Air representative.

Service was done efficiently and professionally. Would use again!!!

Jason from Horne came out, very professional, and a very nice guy. Took the time to explain the heat pump being that it is new to me, as we had a furnace in all of our other homes. Very impressed with the overall experience.

The service was good. I have used them before and will continue to use them. I would recommend them.

The service technician told me the gas valve was not working and needed to be replaced. He also checked the run capacitor and told me it had a weak reading and needed to be replaced or it could damage the motor. He quoted me $190 to replace the capacitor and called the office to get the price for a new gas valve. While he was on the phone with the office, I went to the computer and found the OEM capacitor for $4.87 and the OEM gas valve for $84.95. After his call to the office, he told me that he had bad news for me. They don't make that gas valve anymore, but there is an upgraded gas valve that would work for $525. It would require a new burner box cover for an additional $207. I showed him the parts and prices I found on the internet and asked him why his prices were so high. He called his service manager for me, and when I asked the service manager why the prices were so high, he told me all about the cost of running a business and insurance and so on, and told me that I should buy the parts online. Then he instructed his technician to charge me $90 for the diagnostic check and leave. I called Reigel Services HVAC and explained the situation to their technician. He asked me to text him pictures of the furnace and gas valve. I did that and also sent him pictures of the parts I found online. He told me those were the correct parts and to order them. He would come out and install them for $75. So, Horne wanted to charge me $1,012 for a new gas valve and capacitor ($90 diagnostic charge, $190 for the capacitor, $525 for the upgraded valve, $207 for the burner box cover). Instead, I ordered the parts online and will have Reigel Services install them for a total of $189 (including tax and shipping). I will never call Horne again.

Their promptness and their willingness to work around our schedule as well as the quality of their service are what prompt us to continue using them.

It was a long time ago. I didn't end up having to have anything replaced. Two different providers came out. It was a Freon leak and we filled it up with Freon and we didn't have to replace the unit and it worked fine all summer. At the end of the summer or fall, I still needed it and I was curious if it would still work in the spring and if it leaked out by spring then I would have to replace the unit. I think they must have been the group that did it and if that was the case, I would appreciate them not trying to sell me another system.

It worked out good. They did a good job. Their service was excellent and their prices were fair.

It was fine. We’re annoyed that they did the cold call telemarketing type of thing but excellent because they happen to call just at the right moment. I don’t like it when providers call me and say, “Can we do something for you?” He seems to do his job efficiently. He did a minor repair for free. If I actually look, I would fix it myself. I could have gotten the inspection cheaper. They were responsive.

They were good. The price was reasonable.

The service worked out good. They were quick to respond, they were very informative about the different types of heating and air conditioning systems available. My interactions with them were very good, and they came out within a few days and put in the new system. It has worked fine since.

Their services were great. I thought they were very responsive. It was at a rental house I own and they worked very well with the tenant there. She was quite satisfied so it was a relief to me.

Their price was a little high. The interaction was good. They were very nice.

We had many companies come quote the project. We were prepared to replace the AC unit. Horne was the only company that seemed concerned about our air-flow returns and overall inefficiency of the duct work. I'm glad we ended up replacing the duct work as the airflow has improved in our home. But because we increased the size of the AC unit to support the first floor of our home I'll never know if it is because the unit is larger or the duct work. Either way, it was a project well done. The team that came out each day were professional and hard working. Jason was great at communicating with me and although the project ended up being 5 days (was quoted to be finished in 3) I didn't mind because I knew they were taking their time to correctly install the duct work. Everyone was working hard 7am-5pm. It is also not easy working in these basements and crawl spaces in older homes. I was a week away from my due date with our first child so to have people working in my house was not ideal but Jason managed the project really well and kept his visits upstairs and the noise to a minimum. He even put up with my crazy protective dog. I appreciated it! When we have to replace our second unit we will be giving them a call!

The gentleman that came out was on time and professional. Once the sizing of the home was complete we sat down to discuss all of my options. I loved the professional, the one-on-one interaction. I did not feel the consultation was rushed or that I was being persuaded to buy a particular unit/brand. All of my questions were answered and he even called a few days later to see if I had any further questions.

Went fine fixed quickly and cleaned up, then explained everything.

They did a great job and I would use them again. It was pretty expensive.

I had a great experience. They were right on top of everything. Their prices were reasonable and they seemed honest about the assessment and everything.

It worked out very well. They were very professional. They did the work as expected. They were very courteous. They made sure they cleaned up after they finished all the installation work. In general, I'm very happy with them.

The service turned out real good. We are satisfied with them. We paid them $19 a month and that got us two annual check-ups. When we first had them come do work, it cost a couple hundred bucks. Whatever it was, we were happy with it. Since that time, they came out to do the scheduled work.

I am getting ready to get the work done. Horne did not charge me to come out and do the estimate. They were competent in their ability to do the work.

I used them. The service was fine. The problem that I had was I had two units and I didn't realize that I was going to be charged for each unit, but it was fine.

Horne gave an estimate and I guess it all depends on the person that comes up and talks with you but I was very impressed by them. They seem to be very helpful. Their price was higher in comparison to the one I've got. I didn't use them this time but I would use them.
