AUGUST 8, 2008, WE WENT OUT FOR AN A/C TUNE UP, ONE TIME ONLY. ON OCTOBER 13, 2008 MR. GRIGGS CALLS WITH A NO HEAT PROBLEM, BRANDON GOES OUT AND FINDS THE BURNERS STOPPED UP, AND DIRTY, MR. TELLS BRANDON THAT WE JUST PERFORMED TUNE UP ON SYSTEM. BRANDON DOES NOT CALL OFFICE TO VERIFY THAT IT WAS AN A/C TUNE UP INSTEAD HE TELLS MR. THAT THE BURNERS SHOULD HAVE BEEN CLEANED DURING TUNE, AND DOES NOT CHARGE FOR THE CLEANING OF THE BURNERS, JUST THE DIAGNOSTIC. THE NEXT DAY OCTOBER 14TH, MR. CALLS AND TALKS TO ME ABOUT THE $90 DIAGNOSTIC, I TOLD HIM THAT I WOULD CHECK WITH THE TECHNICIAN THAT WAS OUT THERE, FIND OUT WHAT SERVICES HE PERFORMED, AND WOULD CALL HIM BACK. HE WAS NOT HAPPY, SAID HE COULD TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED, AND THAT I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO CALL THE PERSON WHO WAS AT HIS HOME. I REASSURED HIM THAT I WOULD CALL HIM BACK. I CALLED MR. BACK AND EXPLAINED TO HIM THAT AFTER TALKING TO BRANDON THE TECHNICIAN THAT WAS OUT AT HIS LOCATION HE WAS NOT AWARE THAT WE PERFORMED AN A/C TUNE UP TWO MONTHS AGO, AND NOT AN HEAT TUNE UP. I EXPLAINED THE DIFFERENCE TO MR. AT THAT TIME, HE WAS NOT HAVING IT, HE TOLD ME THAT HE SURE PAID FOR SOMETHING, AND HE FELT AS THOUGH WE WERE JUST RIPPING HIM OFF. I EXPLAINED IN DETAIL WHAT THE DIFFERENCE WAS BETWEEN THE TWO SERVICES. I THEN EXPLAINED TO HIM THAT HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN CHARGED FOR CLEANING THE BURNERS AS WELL AS THE DIAGNOSTIC, HE THEN TOLD ME THAT HE WAS NOT PAYING A DIME, AND HUNG UP. ON OCTOBER 20TH, 2008 MR. CALLS ME BACK AGAIN TO TELL ME THAT HE WAS NOT PAYING THE $90, I THEN AGAIN WENT OVER WHAT HAD TRANSPIRED AT HIS LOCATION, HE TOLD ME THAT WE AS A COMPANY SHOULD STAND GOOD TO WHAT OUR GUYS OUT WORKING ARE TELLING THE CUSTOMERS. I EXPLAINED TO HIM THAT UNLESS THE TECHNICIAN CALLS INTO THE OFFICE TO VERIFY WHAT SERVICES WERE PERFORMED THEY HAVE NO WAY IN KNOWING, AND THAT I WOULD TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR HIS ACTIONS, FOR MAKING IT A BIG DEAL THAT THE TECHNICIAN DID NOT PERFORM THE TUNE UP PROPERLY, WHEN IN FACT WE PERFORMED AN A/C TUNE UP IN AUGUST, AND HE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THE A/C FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON. I THEN AGAIN EXPLAINED WHAT HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN CHARGED, BUT THAT I WOULD NOT ASK HIM TO PAY FOR THE CLEANING, JUST THE $90 FOR BRANDON COMING TO HIS LOCATION. HE THEN TELLS ME THAT WE ARE RIP OFF ARTIST AND HANGS UP. SEVERAL DAYS LATER HE CALLS BACK TO TELL ME THAT HE HAD SPOKEN TO SEVERAL OTHER COMPANIES, AND THEY TOLD HIM THAT THEY WOULD NOT HAVE CHARGED HIM A DIME, AND THAT THEY STAND BEHIND THE PROMISE, AND THERE GUYS IN THE FIELD. I THEN AGAIN EXPLAINED WHAT WE PERFORMED AT HIS HOME, I EVEN ASKED HIM TO GET HIS INVOICE FROM AUGUST, AND I WOULD LOOK AT IT WITH HIM. I EXPLAINED THE DIFFERENCE USING THE INVOICE AS A GUIDE WHAT AND WHERE INFORMATION IS WRITTEN BY THE TECHNICIANS AND THAT SHOULD HELP HIM UNDERSTAND, HE TELLS ME THAT I AM JUST TRYING TO GET MONEY OUT OF HIM, WHEN WE WERE THE ONES WHO MADE THE MISTAKE, AND THAT HE WAS NOT PAYING, AND THEN HUNG UP. NOVEMBER 5TH, I GET ANOTHER CALL FROM HIM, THIS IS WHEN MR. THREATENS ME WITH THE BBB AND ANGIE'S LIST, AND THEN AT FIRST POLITELY TELL HIM THAT I HAVE EXPLAINED TO HIM SEVERAL TIMES WHAT ALL HAPPENED IN AUGUST AND IN OCTOBER, HE THEN TELLS ME THAT HE WOULD CALL ANYONE AND EVERYONE, AND THEN PROMISED ME THAT HE WOULD CAUSE A PROBLEM FOR HORNE HEATING AND AIR'S BUSINESS. THEN HE STATES TO ME THAT WHEN HE WAS FINISHED HORNE WOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS. THIS IS WHEN I WAS NOT NICE, I TOLD HIM THAT WHEN I DO GET CALLS LIKE HIS, AND WITH AS MANY TIMES AS HE HAS CALLED IT IS SOMEONE THAT KNOWS THEY ARE WRONG AND JUST DON'T WANT TO ADMIT IT, I TOLD HIM THAT THE $90 WAS DUE, AND THAT IF HE DID NOT PAY, I WOULD SEE TO IT THAT HE WENT TO THE TOP OF OUR LIST FOR COLLECTIONS, AND I WOULD NOT STOP UNTIL WE RECEIVED THE $90. I THEN TOLD HIM THAT I WAS NOT GOING TO DISCUSS, EXPLAIN, OR TALK TO HIM ABOUT THIS MATTER AGAIN, THEN I HUNG UP. HAVE NOT HEARD FROM HIM SINCE, UNTIL THE ANGIE'S LIST REPORT.
