Description of Work: My Horne service rep arrived to perform the standard seasonal AC service on both of our units. I prepay for this service and - most times - everything is in order. This time, however, he discovered a blown compressor in the downstairs unit. The unit is newer but off warranty (AACK!). I asked for the estimates for complete replacement as well as for replacement of just the compressor. I had those within the hour and a call from Horne later in the afternoon to inform me that they had located a compressor that was still under warranty (thus, a bit less than estimated cost) and would have it shipped to their warehouse right away. We'll have repaired AC before it gets hot. Thank you, Horne!

It went fine.
Description of Work: Horne's heating did a regular checkup for my furnace. It was an Angie's List deal. I don't remember the price. Told them I would call them again for my AC in the spring.

Description of Work: Horne was scheduled to provide Angies List Special HVAC service and never showed at the appointed time. Contacted their office for appointment verification and was advised all tech were in an extended meeting. No prior notification of the schedule change was provided. Cancelled the service and contacted another provider.

If we may clarify a few items for other Angie's List members that were not mentioned in your comments: This service call was originally set up for May 4, 2012 and shortly thereafter you contacted our office to reschedule to May 9, 2012 as a tentative 10:00 appointment. As all of clients are advised, time frames are given as an estimate for planning purposes and only first morning appointment times are guaranteed. The rescheduled date coincided with a standing departmental meeting that ran slightly over the allotted time that day. When we called to advise all of our clients of the delay, you communicated your displeasure to our representative and cancelled the service. Your Big Deal tune-up purchase was promptly refunded, and our organization has not heard from you in over 10 months until now. Horne Heating and Air Conditioning is sorry we did not meet your expectations but feel this grade and negative report is unwarranted. We hope to have future opportunities to prove that our 14 years of Super Service awards on Angie's List are well earned. Regards, Chris Horne

Very well.
Description of Work: This was the winter portion of my Premier Efficiency Program Gas Furnace tuneup. All systems were inspected and adjusted as needed. My system is 12 years old, and wilol not last too much longer, but Horne has taken good care of it.

I'm disappointed.
Description of Work: Not want I expected. I thought I would get a more detailed service, but instead the guy tried to sell me a service contract and upgrades to my system. I thought I was getting more of a tune up. Disappointed.

Description of Work: I bought maintenance groupon for $69 but discovered furnice would not turn on. So had the repair at $153 in addition.Service was prompt and they did good work. I was disappointed that the trip out for the groupon maintenance did not save me any money on the repair - i still paid for 'house call'. But other than that, i was very pleased.

Description of Work: The technician was very professional and was willing to answer all questions. He was very neat and impressive when he covered his shoes every time he entered the house. The heat pump system seems to be running well after their visit The technician called when he was on his way, and arrived within the timeframe they had predicted. We were very satisfied.
