HOPP CONSTRUCTION SERVICES

The estimate was fine, but my husband did not get a warm and fuzzy feeling about them. I think they had given a break down of what the estimate entailed. We probably will look at this company for any future estimates.

They weren't the lowest, but they were good. They had an excellent crew and finished the job in a day and a half. The only thing that occured is that they had cloth screens and a flying shingle pierced one. My husband had a heart attack in the middle of it and they were very understanding and cordial. They were able to continue working without us being around.

(02/09/2010) I had an overall good experience with them. They came out when they said they would. They charged what I thought was a reasonable price. They did what I thought was reasonable work. UPDATE (04/22/2010) This is an update on my previous rating of Hopp. The job itself went okay, but sometime about two months after the repair, a shingle in the repaired area fell off. Not a huge deal, but something that needed to be addressed before the next big rainstorm. Over the course of several weeks, I called Hopp a total of 7 times (calling to both their main office and their proprietor's cell phone), always having to leave a voicemail that was never once returned. Do yourself a favor and select a different roofing contractor- these guys are not professional and do not deserve your business.

They were very good. I didn't have to pay anything because my insurance covered the cost and they worked with my insurance company. They were very good to work with. Their service representative was very good. He was onsite off and on throughout the two or three days they took to do the roof. They cleaned up very well and they had people around my house picking up non-stop as they worked. He sent a full army of people over here the first day to work. It was a very good experience. They do other types of construction work such as remodeling work. They are a full-fledged construction company. I would use them again in the future for exterior work, but not for the interior work. They use a lot of subs for the interior work and I am not comfortable with that.

There were several people in our vicinity that had damage to their homes from a hailstorm. The insurance adjuster came and immediately submitted their approval. We were working with another contracting company and was very dissatisfied with their response to the project. We had two next door neighbors who had used Hopp Construction Services and were extremely satisfied with the work from beginning to end. I gave significant credence to them because they are great neighbors, and I believe neighbors do not recommend home service companies unless they are fully satisfied. So I called Hopp and ask for an estimate. They were prompt in giving the estimate. Their estimate was financially the best estimate I received. He told me when the job would start and how long they would be here and exactly what would happen when they were here. He was right on the mark. He started the job one day earlier than projected. They finished in less than two days, as they projected. Hopp was the most professional service company that I have ever used for major work on my houses (I have 3 houses). Actually I used to work for a home restoration company and in comparison, Hopp is the most professional company with whom I have ever dealt. They covered our home with tarps so nothing coming down from the roof would damage any part of our home. They kept a man on the ground to notify the people on the roof when we were exiting the house. They cleaned up every nail and debris that hit the ground. Our property actually looked cleaner after they left from their cleaning up after themselves than when they arrived (we have 3 young children). The roof looks beautiful. All their employees were very friendly and polite. Even when we exited the house when they were working, they would hold back the tarp for us to go. I know this is a glowing report, but with the many bad experiences in the past, I think a company as professional, timely, truthful, friendly and still cost effective as Hopp deserves a glowing report.
