home inspection
 + -1 moreHe lost his license for 6 months. The man he brought lost his license. The NC Department of insurance brought out an inspector and he lost his license. He was an a**hole. He should have been honest. He lied. He came back for a re-inspection after we told him that we had found mold. He admitted that there was mold but he didn't care. There were rotten windows, he didn't jot it down. The painter had filled the windows with caulking and paint so unless you poke the window you wouldn't know it was rotten. I exploded and called the state. They opened a case. It took a year but he lost his license for 6 months. I received no money compensation either. He offered a refund but I refused it. He said he wasn't a mold specialist so he couldn't note it. It was bull sh**. He gave us a quote as to how much the repairs would be and that's a conflict according to the state. He was going to lose his license totally. He also didn't note the trusses in the garage. The roof was coming down and he said it was fine. He lied and said that we weren't there at the inspection.

 + -1 moreHis punctuality was good. He has been very thorough in terms of going over everything. He did an inspection of the house and then came back and did some of the work. He was right on par with everything that had come up in the original inspection.
Description of Work: Harmon Construction Co Inc did some masonry work and some drywall and plaster repair.

 + -1 moreI am pleased with the work that they did for me. It took a long time for them to do the work. We had to spend a lot of time calling them and scheduling things.
Description of Work: I used Harmon Construction to do some work on the stairs. We had some water damage so they helped fix all of that. They fixed some boards on the floors and stairs.

 + -1 moreJOHN WAS FANTASTIC -- HE SPENT FOUR HOURS TEACHING ME ABOUT THE HOUSE I WAS PURCHASING, INCLUDING POINTING OUT THINGS I COULD DO FOR BETTER ENERGY CONSERVATION. HE WAS FRANK ABOUT ITS PROBLEMS, AND HE RETURNED TO REINSPECT THE HOUSE WITHOUT CHARGE TWO OR THREE TIMES. WHEN THE CONTRACTOR HIRED BY THE SELLERS DID NOT DO AN ADEQUATE JOB, JOHN GOT UNDER THE HOUSE WITH HIM TO SHOW HIM WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE. I WAS EXTREMELY IMPRESSED.
Description of Work: JOHN HARMON RUNS TWO BUSINESSES -- HARMON HOME CONSTRUCTION AND HARMON HOME INSPECTIONS. HE DID THE HOME INSPECTION ON THE HOUSE I RECENTLY PURCHASED. HE ALSO DID EXTENSIVE FOLLOW UP WITH ME AND THE SELLERS, AND HE DID THREE RE-INSPECTIONS WHEN THE SELLERS FAILED TO PROPERLY REPAIR THE DEFECTS.
