HANDYMAN SERVICES

Started this project in July 2019 over a year ago. This project should have only taken two or three days to successfully complete. Still trying to get it completed and what was done was not done correctly. Jeff Whitaker kept sending out someone different to do the work on at least five different occasions but each time they showed up, they did not have the materials needed to do the job. Jeff keeps telling me he cannot find the correct weather stripping to do the job correctly. I waited three months and after calling several times, I was finally told he found the weather stripping. After finally getting the weather stripping on my front doors replaced, there are now larger cracks and gaps than what was there before they started. I have talked to Jeff and Robert several times and asked them to do the work correctly. Jeff even started using terms and names that I was not familiar with (like door sweeps) saying it was not in the project. When Jeff came to my house to look at what was needed and do an estimate, I specifically pointed out that I need the weather stripping replaced around all sides of all my outside doors. I specifically pointed out that the bottom of the doors had the rubber stripping ripped off and needed replacing. When they kept coming out with the wrong replacement strips aka "DOOR SWEEPS" for my front door, Jeff starting saying 'door sweeps' were not in the project. When I asked Jeff why were the "door sweeps" replaced on three of my other doors but you are now telling me because you cannot find the correct type of materials you are now starting to use terms and names that I am unfamiliar with? Jeff never gave me a straight answer. I have asked Jeff for a refund for the weather stripping project but he has not responded. I have been waiting for a response back for over six weeks. Jeff even asked me to locate the weather stripping because he could not find it. I thought I was hiring a professional to do this work on my house that I don't have the skills to do myself but it seems I just got ripped off by some do-a-half-way job company. I will never use Handyman Services again and I will never recommend them to anyone.

RANDY CALLED THE DAY AFTER HE INSTALLED A NEW WATER VALVE TO MAKE SURE THE ICEMAKER WAS FUNCTIONING. IT WAS NOT. HE RETURNED AND LEARNED I WOULD ALSO NEED TO REPLACE THE ICEMAKER. AFTER I PURCHASED THE ICEMAKER, RANDY AGAIN RETURNED AND DID NOT CHARGE FOR THIS VISIT. RANDY IS PROMPT, FRIENDLY, REASONABLY PRICED AND EXTREMELY COURTEOUS. MY HOUSE IS ON THE MARKET AND HE GAVE ME SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT TO DO TO PREPARE IT FOR MARKET. THIS ADVICE WAS GIVEN FREE OF CHARGE. I WILL USE RANDY AGAIN!
