Very well. While they missed a couple small things, their communication, professionalism and quality of work was very good. They are the best contractor we have hired to date, and I would not hesitate to use them again.

This is the 3rd time I have used Guthmann Construction. They are amazing to work with. Every member of their team is professional, on time, listens, and solves problems as they arise. They do beautiful work and the work comes with service beyond compare. Tammy helped me with product selection. She made appointments for us and accompanied me to select granite and tile. She also made appointments for me to see appliances and plumbing fixtures. Bill was my project manager. He was at my house everyday, working as a master carpenter and overseeing the work of other crew members. I was given a calendar at the beginning of the project and everything was completed in a timely manner. Rich Guthmann and the crew at Guthmann Construction make doing a renovation as easy as can be. They have people to help with design and product selection. They oversee all facets of a project and make it as painless as possible for the home owner. I give them the highest of recommendations.

It was a pleasure working with this firm. They were in communication with me on a regular basis throughout the project. Created a clear and detailed contract and design plan. Guthmann's crew was very prompt and worked efficiently despite some difficult weather. I am so happy to have used this firm and am only upset that I didn't find them sooner. It was such a relief to work with people who were honest and straightforward.

Excellent work, very careful, highly responsive, flexible, very professional - but also friendly and trustworthy. The entire job for less than half the price of other bidders. The owner personally participated in the assessment and estimation process, even though the company is at least medium in size. Good clean up and no damage to intricate landscaping and water feature. I would trust them to do anything and intend to hire them for a major renovation in a couple of years. They are the best, I cannot speak more highly about them, and I strongly recommend them.

The structure looked like new. Very pleased with the courtesy extended by the employees.

Emailed them to see if they where interested in my addtion project. They responed within a few days, but declined to do the work after they spoke to me more about the job.

They're wonderful people to work with and the price is reasonable.

The quote of $2500 was very expensive so I didn't go with them. The quote was double what I paid someone else to do. They probably know what they're doing but they're definitely more expensive.

They were very professional, their workers were always on time, neat and tidy and they did what they said they were going to do. They met my expectations and I would recommend them to others!

We elected to engage another design/build company

We were extremely impressed with the Guthmann company, their responsiveness and the quality of their quote/presentation.

After several calls and voicemails with no response, I decided to call again since it was around the holidays. I got in touch with a live person and an appoinment was scheduled. The contractor seemed knowledgeable and gave me an hourly price to do repairs. We were specific and wanted to original workers on some of the specialty work like stone/faux finish painting. Gunthmann stated they were full service contractor and did not want to do piece-meal work and never provided a further estimate on the time to repair.

They were fabulous. I like their organization, their expertise, and their follow through. I like their team approach to the design and the building process. The workers that showed up were fantastic. They were respectable, clean, and neat. They cleaned up after themselves. They were really reliable. Everything is holding up good. I would use them again in the future.

They are really good. They are very meticulous and take care of everything. If you have to do something quickly and it's complex, I would suggest giving it to them.

They were efficient and kept me up to date on the progress. They did everything they said they would in a timely fashion.

Each of the projects was about $48,000. They were professional. I might hire them.

It was all excellent. I had nothing but really good things to say about them. They were on time, on target, really thoughtful, and responsible.

First of all, Guthmann will not be likely to be your lowest bid (the reason we gave them a B on price). We had two other companies give us lower bids on the project, but we went with Guthmann because we were convinced they would do the best work, and we were not disappointed. There is no doubt in my mind that we would absolutely spend every cent again for the quality of work and the professionalism of this company. Two years later, people walk into our home and say "WOW!" Aside from the quality of the result, every person who worked with us on Guthmann's behalf was the ideal professional. They were respectful of our time and of our home. We plan to use them again in the future.

Mr. Guthmann was very patient with me during the estimate time period, as I was trying to decide how much work I wanted/needed them to do for me. Their communication was absolutely terrific throughout the entire process. Never did I ever wait for a return phone call. They were always easy to discuss possibilities and methods to ensure I was happy with what the plan was going to be. The estimate was professionally prepared, and they walked my through it line by line. They had a dumpster and a Porta Jon dropped off for the duration of the project. Every time something was to happen they called to let me know and to make sure I was ready. Their day began at 7:30 am sharp each day, and they were there, got to work right away. They cleaned up the site daily before quiting for the day. I was impressed with the group's carpentry skills and workmanship, I had usually 2-3 adept workers at all times. Daniel and Bob mostly. If they ran into anything unexpected that needed a decision made we discussed immediately. They were all very polite, did not smoke, and hardly took breaks. They made the most of their working hours. Everything went very smoothly. Had to wait on the windows, manufacturer was slower than anticipated. Mr. Guthmann and his supervisor Rick were good at taking care of the tick off list at the end, making sure I was completely satisfied. Which I was. We also used their recommended painter and was very impressed with them Overall Rich Guthmann Construction has a very experienced crew as well as a great overall customer understanding. No surprises in the final cost of the project. I would not hesitate to use them in the future and would recommend them to all.

The crew did a fabulous job. The work exceeded our expectations and was completed on schedule. The quality of the work is outstanding.

As we were selling our house, an inspection by a structural engineer uncovered a problem with the roof on an addition to our house created by another builder. The roof was sagging because it was not properly supported. There was no attic in that part of the house, so the inspector was unable to look to tell us exactly what needed to be done. He recommended a few builders to repair it, and after meeting with Rich Guthmann we decided to use his company. Rich was very careful when coming out to do his estimate, and made it clear that he wouldn't be able to tell exactly how the repair would go until he opened up the roof, but he was able to give us an estimate based on experience. Since our house was under contract we were in quite a hurry to get it fixed, and Rich was able to accommodate our time frame. During the repairs he worked closely with us and the structural engineer, and kept us posted on the progress. Everyone who came to our house was friendly and polite. They finished early, came in under budget, and we are extremely pleased with the difficult repair, as are the structural engineer and the new owners.

Guthmann Construction did a remodel for me in 1999. I was thrilled with their quality of work and their professionalism so when I needed work done again I called Rich Guthmann. Rick Haase came to look at my job and gave me an estimate based on time and materials. Garry Johnson, my crew leader, was of the quality I have come to expect of all the Guthmann crew. He was a skilled carpenter and took the time to explain options to me as we went along. The work was done beautifully with great attention to detail -- especially matching new wood to old. At the end of each day my house was left clean and work was completed in a timely manner
