Goldstar Kitchen & Bathroom

When we were emailed , our last name was a completely different last name. This made us weary of using the company for our kitchen remodel. He did have great ideas and seemed interested in the job.

They were a very good company. They were prompt, quality of work was excellent.

We had used Goldstar in a previous kitchen renovation in our old house, so we knew they would do a great job. They were the lowest of several estimates on the previous renovation. Because we wanted to move quickly on this job, we didn't get other estimates, so I don't know how the price rated. I do know that we picked a high grade of granite and had to order A LOT of it, so I know that was a big chunk of the price. The job grew bigger than we originally intended, but the results are terrific. Everything went as expected-the only delays were my fault as it took much longer than expected for the light fixtures I ordered online to arrive. The custom-built island is absolutely beautiful and they threw in a couple of embellishments for the same original price.

The project went very well overall. We have worked with Goldstar in the past and have always loved their work. Rob Iannucci is very talented at designing living spaces and his crew is one of the very best with tile and cabinetry work. In order to work with Goldstar, it helps if you know something about the construction process and can participate in the project, as the up front designs tend to be less detailed and many decisions are made as the work progresses. Rob and crew are creative, talented, and flexible. The results are always stunning.

They worked very well with us on our busy schedule.

Rob did our bathroom & we were very happy with our experience so we never got anyone else for the kitchen. He visited twice before starting the kitchen to give us options, show cabinet samples, & take measurements. They arrived the day he said they would & began by helping me move the furniture I needed to move so they could work - a step I don't think they had to do but was grateful for their help. They taped off their construction area by hanging a plastic sheet to separate the rooms & prevent too much dust from invading our home. Most importantly, they showed up every work day at 8:00 am & stayed until 5:00 pm until the job was done. Rob predicted three weeks and it took 2 1/2 weeks. We were thrilled. He's more expensive but having his workforce there every day made the additional expense worth it. They've returned twice to solve little problems that have sprung up & quickly fixed them. They are very good to work with. Fully trust them.

Mr. Iannucci responded to the phone message that I left within hours and set up an appointment for the estimate within 2 business days. He arrived at my house for the appointment on time and was very thorough with his estimate. He also spent a lot of time educating me on tile and the process of laying tile so that I could make an educated decision. I am not in a position yet to actually get the work done, but I would definitely hire Goldstar Kitchen & Bath to do the work.

I was very pleased with Goldstar. Rob was always on time and professional, during the design phase. Then Sam was great to work with, during the construction phase. The kitchen looks great. Sam went so far, as to take back the TV I'd received from Queen City, when they had substituted one, that would not fold down from the cabinet. I have already recommended Goldstar to multiple friends.

Rob helped me design the new kitchen and change the current floor plan. Sam and his crew were very professional and courteous. They also helped me with designing the tile pattern for the walls and building in a custom seat/coat rack. The crew was always on time and went out of their way to make the experience as painless as possible for my family. They did excellent work.

I contacted the firm given it's top rating in our area. Robert was prompt in arranging first appointment. Robert had a lot of great ideas, but largely ignored the list of specifications/requirements that I had prepared in advance - listening skills were not great. He did not provide a quote in the time frame promised. In fact, his first call after our meeting was to introduce himself - forgetting that he had already met us and had been to the house. I wonder if his popular rating combined with the "one job at a time" model has stretched his firm too thin.

Spoke with them about our project, and they said they would schedule a time to come out and talk to us (during business hours only). This was hard for us to schedule since we work full-time, then they left the next week for a 3 week vacation. We called them the day after they returned from vacation to attempt to schedule an appointment again, and we were told they no longer do small bathroom renovations. We had a great referral for them, and really wanted to work with them. So in the end we wasted 4 weeks waiting when we could have been talking to other contractors.

Rob and I had several meetings to discuss the remodel. His crew was efficient and polite while they demolished the old and installed the new.

This was a very unpleasant and unprofessional experience. We did not find him trustworthy. We called him because he had such great reports on Angie's list. Verbally quoted $22,000 to add a bathroom but it was to cut into our existing bonus room rather than use the huge attic space available. Additionally, he did not want to permit the project. No permit was a HUGE red flag. It is difficult to write a negative report on anyone especially when someone has had great reviews. We found Goldstar's experience to be one of buyer beware and want to communicate that to other Angie's List members.

Outstanding! The work requested was done on time, on budget, as requested. Outstanding service. Will definitely use these guys again.

THIS, WITHOUT A DOUBT, WAS THE MOST POSITIVE EXPERIENCE WE HAVE HAD SINCE WE BEGAN A YEAR AGO WITH A WHOLE HOUSE REDO. WE SAVED THE KITCHEN FOR LAST BECAUSE WE KNEW IT WOULD BE A MAJOR UNDERTAKING. WE HAVE HAD EVERY CONCEIVABLE EXPERIENCE POSSIBLE WHILE REMODELING THIS HOME. ROB, SAM, STEVE AND VADEEM ARE THE BEST. I WOULD HAVE THEM DO IT AGAIN TOMORROW AND WE FULLY INTEND TO HAVE THEM DO OUR IN HOME OFFICE AFTER THE FIRST OF THE YEAR. THERE ARE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE JUST HOW SMOOTHLY THIS PROCESS PROCEEDED. ROB MET WITH US SEVERAL TIMES AND WE HAD LOTS OF QUESTIONS. HE WAS FULL OF IDEAS THAT WE HAD NOT EVEN CONSIDERED AND WE WENT WITH ALL OF THEM. WE HAVE AN AWESOME KITCHEN. IT IS OPEN, WELL LIT, AND A USER FRIENDLY SPACE NOW. SAM, STEVE, AND VADEEM WERE HERE EVERY DAY WITH SMILES ON THEIR FACES AND THEY WORKED UNTIL QUITTING TIME. I NEVER HAD TO WORRY ABOUT WHETHER OR NOT THEY WOULD BE HERE AND THEY PROVED THEMSELVES TO BE VERY TALENTED YOUNG MEN. WE COULDN'T BE HAPPIER!!

ROB HAD FANTASTIC IDEAS, WHICH WERE UNFORTUNATELY A BIT OUT OF OUR PRICE RANGE. WOULD NOT HESITATE TO USE HIS COMPANY ON ANY PROJECT.

ROB AND HIS CREW, ESPECIALLY SAM AND STEVE, ARE JUST THE ABSOLUTE BEST. ROB CAME UP WITH SOME GREAT IDEAS FOR OPENING UP MY KITCHEN AND MAKING IT LIGHTER AND MORE EFFICIENT WITHOUT CHALLENGING THE INTEGRITY OF MY OLDER HOME. I WAS SET ON KEEPING MY DOUBLE OVENS BECAUSE WE ENTERTAIN LARGE NUMBERS ON OCCASION. WE ALSO WANTED TO REWORK THE LAUNDRY ROOM TO MAKE IT BRIGHTER AND MORE EFFICIENT. ROB SUGGESTED MOVING THE DOUBLE OVENS INTO THE LAUNDRY ROOM WHICH IS PERFECT BECAUSE THEY'RE RIGHT BESIDE A BACK DOOR. CHANGING AROUND THE WASHER AND DRYER AND PUTTING IN NEW CABINETRY. MY LAUNDRY ROOM IS A WOW AND MY KITCHEN IS DROP-DEAD BEAUTIFUL. WITH THE OVENS RELOCATED, HE INCREASED THE DOOR INTO OUR FAMILY ROOM SO THE ROOMS JUST FLOW BEAUTIFULLY. THEY REWORKED MY CEILINGS & INSTALLED LIGHTING, WITHOUT MAKING THE LIGHTING OBVIOUS, AND WHAT THEY DID WITH MY CABINETS FELL JUST SHORT OF A MIRACLE. THEY WERE PATIENT & HAD A CAN-DO ATTITUDE. I MISSED THEM WHEN THE JOB WAS COMPLETED.

WE HAVE ONLY ONE BATHROOM IN THE HOUSE AND THEY MADE SURE THAT EVERY NIGHT WE HAD A WORKING TOILET, EVEN WHEN THERE WAS NOT A FLOOR.

MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS VERY POSITIVE. YOU CAN REALLY TELL THAT ROB LOVES WHAT HE DOES. HE HAS GREAT DESIGN IDEAS, LISTENS TO WHAT YOU WANT, AND MAKES SURE YOU ARE HAPPY. THE 2 GUYS THAT WORKED TO TAKE OUT AND PUT IN MY KITCHEN WERE WONDERFUL. THEY RESPECTED MY HOME. THEY PUT UP TARPS TO KEEP THE DUST DOWN, THEY STRAIGHTENED UP AFTER THEY LEFT EVERYDAY. THEY WERE TRUSTWORTHY, AND I HAD NO PROBLEM LEAVING THEM IN MY HOUSE WHEN I HAD TO LEAVE TO RUN ERRANDS. I KNOW THAT EVEN AFTER A YEAR OR 2, IF I HAD ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS ABOUT ANYTHING, I COULD CALL ROB AND HE WOULD BE RIGHT THERE TO HELP ME OUT. MY KITCHEN LOOKS FABULOUS, AND ANYONE WHO SEES IT AGREES IT IS GORGEOUS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOLDSTAR.

ROB SPENT A LOT OF TIME WITH US DESIGNING OUR NEW KITCHEN. HE HAS GREAT IDEAS AND READILY INCORPORATED OUR IDEAS INTO THE FINAL DESIGN. WHEN WORK COMMENCED, THERE WERE NO UNANSWERED QUESTIONS, WE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT TO EXPECT. WE HAD USED GOLDSTAR KITCHEN AND BATHROOM FOR OUR MASTER BATH REMODELING AND HAD COMPLETE CONFIDENCE IN THEM. OUR KITCHEN CAME OUT ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS, MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN WE HAD ENVISIONED IT! IT'S A PLACE TO SIT DOWN, HAVE A GLASS OF WINE, AND JUST ADMIRE YOUR SURROUNDINGS. THE KITCHEN WAS FINISHED ON TIME AND ON BUDGET. WE ARE EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH GOLDSTAR'S WORK AND WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.

DESIGN WISE, I HAD A DIFFICULT KITCHEN TO WORK WITH. ROBERT HAD BETTER IDEAS AND VISION THAN THE ARCHITECT I PAID $1600 TO. HE AND HIS CREW HAVE A VERY STRONG WORK ETHIC. I REALLY LIKED HOW THEY SHOWED UP EVERY MORNING, WORKED FULL DAYS, EVERY DAY, TILL THE JOB WAS DONE, AND DONE RIGHT. THESE GUYS WOULD TAKE MINIMAL LUNCH BREAKS, AND THEN THEY WERE RIGHT BACK TO WORK. GOOD PEOPLE YOU CAN TRUST IN YOUR HOME, AS WELL AS WITH YOUR FAMILY. I WOULD AND DO RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE AND WILL USE THEM AGAIN. MY KITCHEN IS BEAUTIFUL.

EXPENSIVE, BUT VERY FINE WORK. JOB COMPLETED IN ONE WEEK. NO SUBCONTRACTORS.

ROB'S WORKERS CAME WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD & STAYED UNTIL THE JOB WAS FINISHED. THEY WERE POLITE AND TIDY. ROB HAD GOOD SUGGESTIONS ABOUT HEIGHT OF SHOWER HEAD & TILE, TYPE OF CHAIR RAIL, ALSO HE WAS MINDFUL OF COST. HE DID NOT PUSH FANCY STUFF. HE TRANSFORMED A HIDEOUS ROOM INTO PERFECTION!
