Geek Squad - Best Buy

The man called the night before coming and I explained what I expected from him. He arrived on time (9:30 am), after that everything went down hill. He was to set up my new TV, Sound bar and program everything (TV, sound bar, DVD player and cable box) to their remote. He tried to set up the TV, but informed me I current router was not working, and I would have to purchase a new one, which he had on the truck. The cost was $199 plus $99 to program the router. After 2 1/2 hours he left, but when you turned everything off using their remote, it worked, however about 20 minutes later the sound bar would come back on for no reason and about 30 minutes later would go off. Also, my printer with my computer does not work after he installed the new router. The next day, I returned everything and Best Buy gave me all my money back including the Geek Squad charge. I would not purchase anything from Best Buy or have Geek Squad set up anything in the future for me. If you use them, make sure they send out someone who knows what they are doing. Also, make sure everything is working okay before they leave.

techs showed up with a courtesy call in advance - verified all equipment that was to be delivered from my order sheet - I realized that 2 items that were not purchased so I went out while the techs installed my equipment - I returned so that the rest of the equipment could be installed. The techs checked with me throughout the installment to make sure that it was meeting my expectations. When everything was installed, the techs gave me a short instructional on how everything is going to work and had me conduct a demo to make sure it worked.

Brandon was on time and was wonderful. He was patient with us as we tried to get forgotten passwords reset. He was very knowledgeable and gave us good suggestions on finding a new internet provider. Would recommend Geek Squad.

Som and his manager Brian came to install my new curve tv and sound bar. Both were extremely nice and professional, and made me and my family feel like we had known them for a long time! Som did a great job at programming and making sure all features worked, and also showing me how to work the TV. I was very impressed at his knowledge as well as his manager's knowledge! They both deserve raises!!!!! Will advise everyone to go to Best Buy in the future, as they are very professional, but also makes you feel like you've known them for many years!

They did a phenomenal job and my wife and I could not be happier. Mr. Huot called me the day prior to make sure that he understood my expectations and then called the morning of the installation just to double check everything. They arrived on time, greeted me properly, very repectful, very professional and answered all my question. After the installation Mr.Huot spend an additional 15 minutes explaining the entire installation to me and all the features on my new tv and gave me recommendations. Additionally, he gave me some ideas on future projects and because of those ideas my wife and I are going to get two more tvs mounted and we will be requesting Mr Huot by name. Again, there was another young man with him that deserves credit as well but 98% of my interaction was with Mr Huot. I just retired from the Army with 21 years of service and have moved around alot and have had a lot of installers in my house so I can recognize a true professional. This TV was my retirement gift and I am grateful to Mr Huot, his team member that came with him and Best Buy for making this a wonderful experience.

Everything was great. I Love having the GeekSquad for repairing ANY problem I have with my computer or printer or phone.

Scheduled the Geek Squad to do a consultation for a TV mount above a stone fireplace. I was very specific during the scheduling on the phone that this consultation was to be done at a 2nd home I have and not at my home address. To further emphasis the point I scheduled this through a Best Buy 80 miles from my home (I have 2 Best Buys within 10 miles of my home address) as this Best Buy was closer to my 2nd home. Well, you guessed it right, they scheduled the consultation for my home, not the 2nd home. When I told the technician who was in rout to my home she stated that she could not do the work at the 2nd home because it was out of her area (about 2 hours drive out of her area). She said she would report this and someone would call me within 24 hours to reschedule. Three days later no one has bothered to call me even though I have reached out to them three time and spoke at length about the issue. They seem to be stuck in some limbo because the ticket was never closed out and they can't reschedule. All fine and dandy except I got off the phone yesterday with the Best Buy I contracted with after a lengthy discussion ( during which I was put on hold several times ) they said they needed to figure it out and would call me right back. 24 hours later, no phone call. Enough said

Very Badly, The Geek did not finish the job on the first try because he could not fish a HDMI line behind the studs. After he left I called to tell him that I fished the line that he was unable to do. He said that he would come back tomorrow evening. He came back two days later. He was suppose to bring an advance audiovox digital cable with him. He did not bring the cable. He rewired the receivers speaker wires incorrectly. The center speaker was playing as the left front speaker. The rest of the speaker alignment was also wrong. He did not plug in the woofer before leaving. The geek's name is Billy Cumberland. I WANT A REFUND FOR THE SERVICES. I was charged $99 for the wall mount which sells at Harbor Freight Tools for 75% less.

They came promptly and reinstalled the TV and went over the new TV functions. They did a great job. They were unable to reinstall the sound bar and there are 2 scratches on the TV frame that came from installation. It was not noticed by the installer nor my husband. I noticed it when I returned home from work.

It went fine, took about 15 min. and he labeled things so we were able to reconnect everything when flooring was complete

The people from Best Buy were somewhat knowledgeable. It was a good experience.

Everything worked out perfectly. There was no problem. Everything showed up when it was supposed to and I went in the store and picked it up. It is a good system that they have. I hardly spoke to anyone. I just picked the thing up. I would use them again in the future.

I bought it from them because I've got a credit with them. I bought it offline, but it came to my door. They came in fairly quickly. The guys were good. I would use them again the future.
