It was a difficult job because of terrain, shrubbery, trees, etc., and missing pins at 2 corners. That resulted in the necessity to make extra measurements and do additional calculations. He did a thorough job in a reasonable time. We were very satisfied.

Based on Angie's list comments and ratings, Gary was the first surveyor I called. When he answered I told him I was a member and that I was interested in his services for a land survey of my backyard. He asked "Why do you want it?". I told him we were redoing our backyard and wanted to put in a fence. Rudely, he responded with "I don't know when I can get to it, I am very busy."

Everything went well with the survey. Mr. Moen located a metal pin at the front corner of property and surveyed the entire lot from there. Flags, stakes were placed at all corners. He placed wooden stakes near the area where the retaining will be built to make things easier for me. I would recommend a survey for any home owner so that you are aware of your boundaries.

Gary estimated the job at 2 hours on the phone and promised to come out within a week. Called two days later to come out the next day assisted by his wife. They found the buried property monuments and added one that was missing. They layed out stake lines on the property boundaries in sufficient quantities so that I could spot out the new fence locations without further assistance. Gary is old Charlotte and had a lot knowledge of the development of our neighborhoods. He was gracious to answer all my questions about typical practices of the builders and how they've changed over the course of many years. He did not need to engage any fancy new equipment to do the basic task at hand. His finished report and the bill for the amount as estimated arrived in 2 days.

Exceptional with a very quick response to my request for a survey (requested on Friday and showed on Monday) and was very expeditious in getting me the finished map. Quoted an hourly rate which I preferred and came in around what he originally estimated. Highly recommend his service.

The service was excellent. The person on the phone was very friendly. They did the work within days of my call. The price was great. It was MUCH cheaper than a competitor's quote.

Mr. Moen was very easy to work with, was onsite within 3 days of our initial phone call, and clearly marked all the points we were intested in. As I'd never seen a survey done before I made a point of being outside with Mr. Moen and his associate as they were performing the survey. They were very accurate, checking and rechecking measurements as needed and had no issues answering any of my questions. I would recommend Mr. Moen to anyone that needed their lot surveyed. Note: work is done on hourly basis, min 2 hours. If your property has a number of obstacles in between boundary points (trees, buildings, walls, etc) then expect the work to take longer. In our case we omitted a few points that were in the middle of a creek, so it felt like it took less than 2 hours to complete the work, but were still happy paying $180 for the survey.

I contacted Mr. Moen one morning via telephone and he answered in a prompt and professional manner. I told him I needed my land surveyed and he said he would check his agenda and call me back. He contacted me a short time later and told me he could perform the work the next day around 9:00 a.m. He arrived the next morning around the time he had promised. He introduced himself and began working right away. He surveyed my whole property and placed flags and stakes clearly showing the boundaries.

Gary Moen was very prompt and easy to work with. He recalculated and placed rebar since the previous rebar to mark lot was not accurate. The project is calculated on time. The original estimate was half the actual cost, but we were told that the project is charged by the hour. We thought it was costly to have the corner marked for purposes of adding septic lines. Our lot is only .8 acres and the entire lot was not surveyed. However, Mr. Moen is very professional and prompt.

I called to arrange the service, and was told they would call and come the next week. They called the next week, made an appointment and came on time to do the job. They were friendly and professional.

Excellent. Got it done on a tight schedule and delivered to attorney.

Had a chat with Surveyor seemed friendly but could not do CAD output which I needed. He let me know upfront.

Was unable to make an appointment but came at his earliest availability...had to call several times as over period of three/four weeks didnt hear from them if/when they might come. Service did cost about $50 more than was quoted over the phone, but job also seemed more complex and time consuming than I had thought - there are 5 corners to the property one is at an odd angle. It was still very good value. Was frustrated by the level of customer service I received prior to Mr Moen's arrival. Once here, was very professional, thorough, polite and was very pleased with the service.

Left message about need for survey. Never got a call back

I found myself under a time crunch and when I called Gary Moen & Associates, they were able to assist me. I had the physical survey in my hands within 48 hours of the time Gary came out to my home. The entire process was a pleasure and I would definitely utilize their services again and recommend them to friends/family. Thanks!

THEY WERE VERY POLITE & EVEN THOUGH THEY COULDN'T PROMISE US AN APPOINTMENT, (THEY WERE RUNNING BEHIND BECAUSE OF RECENT HURRICANES), THEY STILL WERE ABLE TO FIT US IN WITHIN A COUPLE OF WEEKS. OUR CORNERS ARE NOW MARKED AND WE KNOW EXACTLY WHERE TO PUT OUR NEW FENCE.

THEY RESPONDED QUICKLY TO OUR CALL AND CAME BEFORE THE SCHEDULED TIME TO DO THE SURVEY. THEY DID AS REQUESTED AND THEIR COST WAS WITHIN THEIR PROPOSAL.
