We have made numerous calls to the store regarding delivery of our tables which, by the way, we paid for last fall. We keep being told they will be in soon. As late as last week, we were told they would be in this week (by May 28). We just received another phone call, and now they are scheduled to be in the next "container", which is now not expected intil the middle of June. A container did come in last week, but for some reason, our tables did not make the trip. It has now been 6-8 months since we ordered them. Do not buy anything from this company unless you can carry it out with you.
Description of Work: We purchased patio furniture last fall. We took delivery of the chairs last fall; with 2 tables scheduled for delivery early in the spring.

gas grill repair

The installation is where the debacle started and continues until today. The grill head had a several stability problem. At install time, installer (Southern Gas Piping Services) said that the wobbling was normal for the post type grill assemblies. After a while, it became unbearable so I contacted FireHouse again. They said the installer would call me to revisit. Weeks went by and I called and said the installer never called me. Firehouse said he stopped and indicated there was no way to fix the stability problem. I made a short video and sent to Firehouse which in turn sent it to the manufacturer who agreed something was wrong. The manufacture sent their district rep to the house to assess the problem which turned out to be the installer failed to install the grill properly and left off the 4 main bolts for the post-to-grill housing. Also, the manufacturer said the post should have been cemented and was not. The entire post can be twisted several inches. It appears as though the post hole was simply filled with dirt and a small portion of cement was placed on the top to make it appear as though it was cemented properly. Also, it looks as though the gas line was cut short as well as the protective black coating so it was stretched to fit making the outward appearance look horrible. After almost 4 months, Firehouse washed their hands and said they handled their end and that my problem is with the installer. It's their "certified" installer and they should manage this problem until its fixed. I have wasted too much time on this mess and don't have time to deal with the installer. Personally, I would prefer my $175 installation be refunded so I can get this resolved elsewhere. They told me to have someone fix it and send the installer the invoice. Right, like I should have to take more money out of my pocket. And the way this experience went, I would bet my life that the Firehouse would void the warranty due to some other company performing the work and the installer wouldn't reimburse me for the additional work.
Description of Work: Purchased new Napoleon gas grill and had their "certified" installer perform the installation.

We sent to the store on Johnson road and found logs we liked with a remote. We had to order them but it only took 4 days to arrive, which I picked up. The tech called 2 days after the sale to arrange for the installation. He could install the following Tuesday and it only took 45 minutes! Logs look good and are easy to start and warm up the room. We got vented logs and they are not the best option for heating but it will warm up a room and look good doing it!
Description of Work: Needed new gas logs with remote control. Old logs could not retro-fit a remote.

We are very pleased with the table! We have already had friends over to enjoy it and then liked it as well! I wish it could have been delivered a little faster, but I am otherwise very happy with it. We were very impressed with the overall selection they had in the store as well. Lots of great outdoor furniture, fireplaces, grills, etc.
Description of Work: We bought a six-person oval, glass table, 6 sling chairs, an umbrella, and an umbrella stand from them. The delivery fee was $45. I went into the store and ordered it on a Friday morning and it was delivered the following Thursday morning.

We purchased a home with a wood burning fireplace with a gas lighter and really wanted a full gas log installation. The selection at Firehouse Casual Living was excellent, and the salesman helped us choose a set that would work well with our fireplace size and needs. Installation was quick and painless. When our remote broke, they sent someone out to check it and he replaced it immediately, noting that this brand sometimes suffered from flaky remotes. While he was showing me what the problem was, I noted how it was attached and how simple it looked to replace. Before leaving he gave me a spare remote control set too, just in case it broke again in the future. Great service.
Description of Work: Sold and installed a set of gas logs in our home.

I CANNOT COMPLIMENT THEM ENOUGH FOR THEIR PATIENCE -- WE LOOKED AT EVERY TABLE IN THAT PLACE, TWICE. EVERYONE IN THERE WAS FRIENDLY AND PERSONABLE. THEY HAVE A LOT OF PORCH AND SUNROOM GOODS, UMBRELLAS, GRILLS, INSIDE AND OUTSIDE FURNITURE AND ACCESSORIES. THERE ARE A LOT OF STORES THAT SELL THESE KINDS OF THINGS -- AND WE WENT TO THEM ALL -- BUT THE SELECTION, QUALITY, AND SERVICE WAS RIGHT HERE. THE DELIVERY WENT PERFECTLY AS WELL.
Description of Work: FIRE HOUSE HELPED US SELECT, AND SUBSEQUENTLY DELIVERED, A PATIO DINING SET. IT WAS A CULTURED STONE TABLE AND 6 SEATS THAT MET OUR NEEDS PERFECTLY. THE SALESMAN WAS KIND ENOUGH TO MOVE, SHIFT, HAUL, AND SET UP EVERY TABLE/CHAIR WE THOUGHT WE MIGHT LIKE. THEIR SELECTION IS GREAT, AND THE SERVICE IS GREAT. THEY DID HAVE SEVERAL VERY NICE SETS THAT WOULD HAVE TAKEN TWO MONTHS TO GET, BUT OUR SET HAPPENED TO BE READY FOR IMMEDIATE DELIVERY.

I WOULD STRONGLY DISCOURAGE ANYONE FROM USING THIS SERVICE.
Description of Work: WE NEEDED TO HAVE A VALVE REPLACED ON OUR GAS LOGS TO CONVERT THEM FROM PROPANE TO NATURAL GAS. WE WERE TOLD IN NOVEMBER, 2001 BY THE REPRESENTATIVE AT THE STORE THAT THIS MIGHT TAKE AS LONG AS 3 MONTHS, BUT WE WOULD HAVE IT BACK BY MARCH. WE TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO GET A RESPONSE FROM THE COMPANY, BUT STILL HEARD NOTHING AS OF SEPTEMBER 1, 2002. AT THE END OF SEPTEMBER WE FINALLY RECEIVED WORD THAT WE SHOULD HAVE THE VALVE SOON. FINALLY AFTER NEARLY 1 YEAR THE CORRECTED PART ARRIVED AT OUR HOUSE AND OUR TECHNICIAN WAS ABLE TO INSTALL IT. ALL OF THE ADAPTERS HAD NOT BEEN INCLUDED, BUT WE NOW HAVE A WORKING FIREPLACE. THIS IS NOT OUR IDEA OF HOW A BUSINESS SHOULD HANDLE THEIR CUSTOMERS. YOU CAN BE SURE THAT WE WILL NOT USE THEM FOR SERVICE AGAIN. ALMOST 1 YEAR TO DO A 3 MONTH CONVERSION, THIS HAS BEEN EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!
