After feeling so stressed by the difficulties dealing with the first group of workers, it was such a relief knowing that Finishing Touches knew what they were doing! They arrived on time and worked long days. They kept things clean, were polite, and non smokers. Roger Garcia went out of his way to be accommodating to our needs and reassured us the job would be done right. Our tile looks great. They finished the job in less than 2 weeks wheras the first group took 3 weeks and still had not completed the work. Roger also made sure he started from scratch with our shower because he did not trust that the first crew did a good enough job with the shower pan ( the tile job was a good clue that they did not know what they were doing). It was a good thing he did that, since they had left our 19 year old liner in the shower which had a split in it. We have truly appreciate the care he took with this job.

Roger showed up on time and was very nice. His quotes were very reasonable! His men performed all the work very quickly and we are very pleased with the outcome. I would recommend his company to everyone. Super nice guy and a overall great experience.

Purchased new home with "unfinished" basement. Original home builder cost to complete/finish basement was in excess of $50,000. Based on excellent reviews on Angie's List and the Better Business Bureau, my wife and I contacted Finishing Touches Construction, Inc., for an estimate. Mr. Roger Garcia, owner of Finishing Touches Construction, met with us in person, inspected the basement and we discussed all floor plan options. We accepted Mr. Garcia's cost estimate of $34,000 to finish the basement. The total cost included: residential building permit application & inspections, preparation and waterproofing basement walls, framing, dry wall, plumbing, electrical wiring, custom wood trim to include - wood casing around various room entrances, crown molding, custom baseboards, 8' doors, one set of all glass french doors, installation of new HVAC system and painting. Purchases not included in the original cost estimate, but installed by Finishing Touches, included a frameless shower stall, bathroom shower and floor tiles, ceiling fans, bathroom vanity cabinet and mirror. All the different trades workers who worked on the project were skilled, prompt and courteous. Mr. Garcia kept us informed on the projected work schedule and visited our home on a frequent basis to monitor the work progress. We did not encounter any major problems during the construction and all finished work was approved by Mecklenburg County. We love our basement! Family and friends are impressed with the quality of the work and will contact Mr. Garcia for future home work projects. Upon request, we can forward photos of basement to any Angie's List member.

They were terrific - lovely to work with, kind people and the paint job is perfect. They moved furniture and when they left the rooms were all put back together. There was no paint splatter and no fuss. They finished in a day and, honestly, they were just the most professional and terrific guys. I highly recommend them

Roger and his team of primarily Alfredo and Leo were prompt, took great effort at controlling the plaster dust and mess from the master bath remodeling, were very pleasant to work with and very timely, and very careful about their work. They were great to work with our schedule. All of our questions were answered promptly. Roger was very up-front with potential costs and necessary additions, had great suggestions for layout of our master bath. The subcontractors he suggested were also great and had respect for Roger. The rerouting of the plumbing was well done for our needs. We love our new baths and the shower is beautiful and wonderful to use. We have already referred someone to him, who has contracted him for their project. We would call him first for any other project we plan.

Roger Garcia is very nice and very busy. He asked permission to come onto my property and worked around my schedule. His rate was very reasonable for the work that his team did. They did a great job in just a few hours and cleaned up. They also got the job done by the deadline I had. They did come out later in the day than I was told initially but he explained later it was because another customer wanted them to do more work while on site. That actually worked better for my schedule. I get the sense that Roger is committed to making the customer happy. Roger was not able to stay to watch all of the work being completed, but if there is any problem I know that I can just contact him. Everything looked great and they got everything done that I told them to do. The quote was broken down by material cost and labor which I appreciated, the other contractors I had quotes from did not do that. Muchas Gracias Finishing Touches Construction!

Repainted some walls in our business. Work was done on time and to my satisfaction. Would certainly use them again.

I gave Roger and his crew an "Inspiration" picture and they recreated it perfectly!! The work was done perfectly, professionally, on time and on budget!! The crew was courteous and kept the work area neat and cleaned up as they went along. My husband and I are totally pleased with the finished product as well as the process!

They were great! Good communicators, and great work.

Everything went well and when it didn't; he came back very quickly to fix it.

Roger came out and gave us an estimate and after reading the reviews we hired him for the above wk. one the first day the workers showed up on time but appeared to not understand English. During the whole process no one was supervising the workers. Day two came and the workers were to drywall and skim coat. While the workers were plaster the bedroom wall, I noticed that the workers did not carry in any insulation. I called Roger and he said he would check and call back. Well he called and said the workers did not insulate. So Roger came and said they had to cut some holes and stuff it in. Not what I wanted to hear. Roger said the painters would come back Saturday to paint. They could not paint because every thing was still wet. The painters came back Monday and finished up and let again no supervision and no follow up. Tues I looked at the wall and the was bowed out in two places and they only painted some of the wall and the baseboard was not painted and was not cut correctly. Well they came back after I called Roger again. I was in the bath that they were suppose skim coat and it appears they did not do that either. I went upstairs to check the ceiling and that is bowed and again they did not completely paint the ceiling as they were suppose to. I paid Roger in full prior to seeing these issues and after the problems Roger still did not come to inspect the wk which is subpar. The worst mistake was to hire this company.

Did not see this provider let alone contract with them.

Our home is only 8 years old and due to poor construction and poor quality products, the columns to our two story house were leaking, pulling apart, breaking, and the inside post were rotting from water going into the enclosed post. Our rock wall along the patio and around our house, had cracks, missing mortar, and damaged stones. I contacted Mr. Roger Garcia as well as 2 other contractors for estimates. We selected Mr. Garcia to take on the task. He was a couple of weeks late starting because of continued rain, but when they began the work, they were here every day until it was finished. They began work on the 6 columns down stairs and 2 plus a cross beam on the second floor. He torn down all the vinyl covers, replaced the rotting wood, and then re covered the columns. This was not an easy task as our upper porch has a height of over 22 ft. The crew, for repairing the rock, did a great job. They filled cracks, replaced and stabilized several stones on top of the retainer wall, all in one day. His men were always on time, started to work immediately, and polite. The job took a few days longer than expected because of the repair to the damaged wood inside of the columns. They left their work area clean. Mr. Garcia is very knowledgeable about construction. He took the time to research what type of product would give us the most durable wear against the elements our back porch endures. ( 100-108 degrees of heat in the summer and direct sun most of the day. Since this is the first time I have had to have such extensive house repair and this type of work, it is hard for me to evaluate the price, but based on the other estimates and the great job he did I would say it was fair. I have even called Mr. Garcia to come this week, to give us an estimate on giving our down stairs patio a screened porch, and give the concrete, which was damaged by hail, a new look.

Roger and his helpers did a great job on our remodel. Their work is very high quality, and they were very respectful of our time and space. Our bathroom is small and we weren't knocking down walls or moving plumbing, just replacing everything in the outdated room except the toilet! Roger listened to what we wanted and made suggestions about what was and wasn't possible, especially regarding expanding the small corner shower. We bought the main materials (tile, vanity, shower doors) but he provided all the install materials. He started right away and was easy to schedule around the arrival of materials. He kept in frequent contact with us by phone and email, so we knew exactly what was happening when. I was impressed with how much care he and his workers took to keep our house clean, from laying down tarps from the door to the bathroom to putting up a plastic barrier to keep dust out of the rest of the master bedroom. We now have a beautiful bathroom that will last for years due to their excellent work. I would gladly have Roger back for another remodel and can easily recommend him to others.

It did not go well. They came out within two weeks from when I bought the big deal.They re-attached it but it came right off. The caulking was fine. I asked them to come back out. He thinks he needs a new part and that he was going to go by Lowe's. He never called again. He never followed up. I think I called again and left a message. I never heard from him. They didn't even work two hours on it. They just forgot about it when what they did didn't fix it.

We had a list of items that needed addressing and they did the best to advise on how to best fix as many of them as they could with the time purchased.

I called and scheduled an appointment. Roger showed up on time. He seemed to be in a rush. He was here less than five minutes. Said he would get back to me with a quote. Never heard from him again. I wanted some sheet rock work done in our master bath. Quite a bit of patching work to do. He seemed more interested in doing the entire job. I already had other people scheduled for the electrical, plumbing, tile and flooring. I understand if he felt the job was too small, but have the courtesy to call and tell me.

It went very well. I have used Finishing Touches Construction more than half a dozen times and each time they have done really good work. I have used them for both interior and exterior painting, for plumbing and other repairs. As for the deck and pergola they power washed the deck and pergola, cut to shape to replace 12 different sections of both the deck and pergola, re-screw hand-rails, replaced fascia boards, prep for staining and stained. When finished it looked like a new deck and pergola. They work on whatever your needs are very consciously and as though it was their personal property. Service is good and Roger is great with follow-up and making sure that progress is as scheduled and that I am pleased.

I've used them for almost a dozen times. What stands out is their service, their thoughtfulness and their concern. They treat the property like its theirs. They are very conscientious. The quality of their work was very good.

The workers and owner are kind, courteous and hard working. They were diligent in closing my back gate so my dog wouldn't get out. Each time they left for lunch or for the day, they let me know. I was kept informed about the progress. They did a fantastic job on all the work. I would, without a doubt, use this company again!!

Roger and his team were on time and everytime and completed the several tasks within 3 business days as promised. His team was great to work with and very respectful to my family while working. All in all they did a great job and I will definitely be using Roger and team again for other projects...... Highly recommend!

Roger and all of his crew were awesome!! They were always timely and very conscious of their work and my home. From my initial contact to Roger for an estimate he was always responsive and helpful. There was never a question I had during the process that he could not answer and as this was our first remodel and a pretty big one I was very happy with his professionalism. As always we had planned for two weeks but with material orders and weather it turned into almost four but the guys worked very hard and accommodated our work schedules and made it happen so we could have everything in place we needed for the holidays. His crews always put plastic down on my floors and cleaned up after themselves when they left for the day. The plumber Roger used was awesome as well - he came in the evenings and reinstalled all of our new fixtures the same day our new granite countertops were installed so we did not have to go without running water. Roger was very conscientious of the fact that we needed our appliances and access to certain areas so he made sure the project was timed out accordingly. I love, love , love my new master bath and kitchen!!! Roger directed me to the Tile Shop in Charlotte to pick out all the tile and flooring the staff there were great to work with as well. I plan on having Roger and his crew back out again to do more work in the spring on other parts of the house. One last thing I will brag on- Roger is willing to come out on Saturdays or evenings if you have a need. My husband called him during the project when he found a minor leak from the new plumbing for the shower and Roger and his crew were here in no time and took care of it right away. I was very pleased with the entire process and the end products and am enjoying my remodeled home!!

Roger Garcia and his team replaced a tile shower that had leaked into the kitchen below. He also installed new tile on the walls, installed new faucets, replaced the vinyl flooring in the damaged bathroom and a second bathroom, and repaired a large hole in the kitchen ceiling. We were very happy with Roger and his team. He quickly identified the cause of the leak after several others had not. He and his crew were knowledgeable and were committed to doing quality work. We received positive comments about the quality of the tile work and the slope of the shower floor from two other unaffiliated contractors who we hired for related work. It?s been five months, and we have had no problems. He quickly addressed all of our questions and concerns during the project and was very pleasant to work with. When the project was almost complete, we asked him to quote two other projects that we hope to do soon. He gave us some tips about one of the projects so that we could do most of the work ourselves.
