Description of Work: Took out wall between 2 rooms, sheetrock wall & ceiling, painted, new flooring, added recess lights, painted garage & floor. |Communication lacking, poor scheduling, no supervision of employee, therefore redo,redo on finishing of sheetrock & painting of rooms, clean |up not what was promised, garage floor painted redo. Mr. Garcias son came & helped get some of repairs completed. We were pleased with the completion of the flooring& recess lighting. Our experience with Finishing Touches |is why we would not use them again.

Description of Work: Roger and his team did the demolition of a bathroom in our house. They were easy to work with and very professional.

Description of Work: Remove popcorn on ceilings, repainted. Crown molding. Painted 3 rooms. Removed pony walls in foyer and replaced with builtins. Did excellent job on crown moldings. I had to take issue with painters painting around door knobs and light fixtures rather than removing them. That and a few issues with builtins. I gave an A because he was eager to fix the problems and came back quickly when I called to complain. Painters were a little lax - but overall good job.

Description of Work: Quote only. |Roger arrived on time as scheduled to look at my "job." He was polite, professional. Verbalized understanding of the problem and gave me a detailed description, including photos, of what to expect from the repair, which would basically include a near full bathroom remodel. He made suggestions, which I hadn't considered and I appreciated hearing the options. I felt heard and I appreciated the detail he put into the quote. He welcomed questions and did not make me feel like a bother for asking. While, he was not our lowest quote, had we decided to go with the bathroom remodel, I would have chosen him because I sensed I could work well with him. Ultimately, we chose a lesser repair that did not include a bathroom remodel. I would consider calling Roger again in the future. I liked what I saw in his photos and he is a good communicator. | |

Description of Work: I purchased an offer for $599 for 3 painters for a day.

Description of Work: We just relocated to North Carolina from TX and needed to have some work done prior to moving into our home. Not having any contacts in the state, and hearing contractor horror stories from coworkers, I decided to go by Angie's List Reviews. I chose Finishing Touches because of Roger's promptness, professionalism and prices appeared reasonable. I left him the keys to my new house and returned 2 weeks later to beautiful refinished hardwood floors and a freshly painted home. The move-in happened 2 weeks ago but the projects continue and I continue to call Roger on all of my project needs.

Description of Work: It took a while to get the appointment scheduled because they had received a big response to their ad on Angie's List. A young man came to the house to put up some shelves. He seemed to have a lot of trouble with them. I told him that I didn't think he was using the right screws or sinking them into the right place to hold enough weight. The project took all day and I had to pay for extra hours. I started shelving some books, pictures & crystal. That night during dinner, the shelves came down off the wall in the process breaking several delicate objects including a crystal bowl that had been a wedding gift. I called the company right away and was told by the owner that he would try to make it by the next day. At first look he blamed me but upon further discussion he agreed to refund my money and pay for the broken crystal. He re-hung the affected shelves and they have stayed in place since.

Description of Work: I thought I was hiring a professional contractor but instead a very nice young man, maybe 21 years old, called and said he'd be the one doing my jobs. He came out and he tried but wasn't capable of doing much with floor scratches, dishwasher installation, tile grout) and he never returned at the appointed time (or responded to my phone calls) to finish the job.

Description of Work: They did a number of small jobs, such as hanging curtains rods, putting on a cabinet door and changing a toilet flush handle. I was disappointed that two men came for one hour, rather than one man for two hours. It was clear that Roger knew what he was doing and the second man was around to help, by getting items out of the truck, holding a flashlight and such. | |Also, Roger was so busy that it took several weeks before he was able to come.
