They did quality work and were very professional. They were punctual and reasonably priced. They noticed a leak under the washing machine and informed me on time. It was not their job, but still they were proactive and helped me from facing a bigger problem. I liked their services and will use the same in future.
Description of Work: I used the services of Falcone Crawl Space & Structural Repair for foundation repair, built some pillars and had the entire things structurally engineered, about 2 to 3 months ago.

Bill and Marlon arrived on time and spent about 30 minutes looking inside and out at our problem areas. They asked several questions regarding when we started to see the problem and any work we had had done in the past. After thoroughly crawling the crawlspace (they were under for 30 minutes and I could hear their progress) they came back up and told us what they found and what they did not find. Lucky for us at this time it was good news. They were very professional and spoke in terms we could understand. From beginning to end this was a very positive experience and I would call them again if we have any additional concerns regarding our crawlspace. I cannot say enough good things about their professionalism!
Description of Work: Came out to evaluate potential settling issues w/ our crawlspace. We had several exterior cracks in our brick veneer and interiorly along the ceiling and one wall.

From start to finish I was very pleased with their work. I even crawled under the house with Brandon to see the completed work. Compared to what was done 20 years before there was no comparison. Falcone's work is top notch. The barrier was secured so it will not move away from the sides of the crawl space. This had not been done the first time 20 years before. Needless to say that having a new heating/air conditioning system put in Oct. 2010 the previous barrier was a mess.
Description of Work: I purchased the $199.00 special from Angie's List for crawl space vapor barrier installation. Because my crawl space area was larger then the sq. footage covered for $199.00 I paid an additional $101.00. Brandon Weatherly and a helper arrived about 1/2 hour earlier then the appointment time we had agreeded upon, he did call ahead to see if it was convient for me to have them arrive early. Both men were very professional and Brandon explained everything that he and his helper would be doing under my house. They removed the old barrier liner that was 20 years old taking the old liner with them to dispose of. Brandon also did an expection of the installation covering the water pipes and underside of the first floor. I was very pleased with their work and the professional way the work was handled. I would highly recommend Falcone. Brandon also informed me that they did replacement work for any rotten wood, which he did look for when he was under the house. Good news... I did not need to have any wood replaced.

The work was good, but were a lot a problems. They had knocked out a foundation vent and they did not replace it and that caused cats to start living under our house. They had to mix a lot of concrete for the job and they did it in the yard and did not clean up the mess. They left a concrete slab in my yard. They never called to follow up, so I called them after two weeks. It took them five days to return my call. Two days later, they repaired the foundation vent when I was on vacation. They did come back to clean up the concrete mess, but all they did was break it up, throw it away, and put hay on the grass. There are still plenty of concrete chips in my yard. They offered to come out for a third time to correct the mess, but I declined because their response was not timely,.
Description of Work: They were working in my crawlspace to fix up my flooring system.

They also do foundation work, which I don't need, but would have them come check it out if I ever did need that service. The service men were nice, friendly and professional!!
Description of Work: I received the "deal" email from Angie's List for vapor barrier installation. I have a crawl space and have needed to do this for a long time, so I took advantage. See above. The installation was excellent.
Description of Work: The floor insulation in my crawspace was falling down and the vapor barrier that had been installed by the builder had holes in it and did not cover the ground all the way to the walls. I contacted Falcone to give me an estimate on removing the existing installation, installing new installation, and installing a new vapor barrier. The representative showed up early on the date of the scheduled estimate and gave me a very thorough briefing on Falcone's proposal and price quote. On the day of the work, the two representatives were slightly delayed due to traffic, but called ahead of time and told me of their delay. They arrived only 15-20 minutes late. Once on the scene, they performed the work in a very conscientious and professional manner and cleaned up my yard, etc. afterwards. My crawspace is so clean and bright now that it is amazing! Falcone performed an excellent job and they get my highest recommendation.

One of the best experiences with contractors during past years !

Fred Falcone arrived promptly upon the morning (April 14th) to inspect and estimate the work. He indicated the crew would need approximately 45 - 60 days to start work on the house, but to my pleasant surprise the crew was onsite May 16th and ready to go. The crew lead, Brandon, was courteous, professional, knowledgable, and accomodating. The crew began work late morning of the 16th and stayed on site only for the time needed to perform work, which speaks to their integrity and dedication. On Monday, the crawlspace was cleared, old piers removed, and footers were poured. On Tuesday, new piers were installed and main joists were shimmmed. On Wednesday, the drop girders were installed and shimmed and sister joist added. On Thursday, all remaining shimming was completed, plus the warped joists were replaced. Across Wednesday and Thursday, all the vent wells received their new crawlspace vents as the moisture barrier was laid. The finished result is a house full of doors that shut again, wall cracks that disappeared as shimming completed, and floors that are ready for all the new projects on the horizon. Thank you to Fred and company for an excellent home improvement experience.
Description of Work: My 1968 brick ranch needed and received the following much-needed attention: - Removal of 2 old piers placed incorrectly by a former firm - Installation of 14 new piers across the entire crawlspace - Installation of 2 drop girders on large room spans that did not have adequate support - Replacement of 2 joists warped years ago by a leak - Installation of a sister joist to stiffen part of a large room - Replacement of the moisture barrier - Replacement of 17 vent wells with new temperature/humidity controlled vents

They were on time and cleaned up so that I could not even tell they had been here. I am very happy with the results because there are places in the crawl space that I have no desire to wiggle into. Well worth the money, I had priced doing it myself, but it was much more cost effective to have them do the work. We had another estimate that was more than double the price.
Description of Work: They removed all the old plastic sheeting that was in the crawl space and replaced it with new white plastic. They pinned the plastic down around the edges to keep it from moving as people crawl around in the crawl space. We did not have a moisture problem but the plastic that was there from the builder was missing in a number of areas and I wanted coverage to keep moisture from affecting my new hardwood floors.

Fred Falcone and Billy Shaw arrived at the appointed time to provide a quote. They spent time checking my floors, the doors in the areas surrounding the sinking area (to see if the sinking had affected their abilty to close), and then went under the house to check that area. After fully checking out the problem, they spent time explaining why the floor was sinking, how they suggested it be fixed and how much it would cost. The quote they provided was slightly less than a nationally known competitor whose quote was for only three piers with no vapor barrier. The work was scheduled about a month from the date of the quote. The workers arrived on time, were courteous and informative about what part of the work would be done on each of the two days. At the end of the first day, they informed me that the ground under my home was quite damp and that they would like to place two fans under the house overnight (at no charge!!) to dry out as much as they could before putting down the vapor barrier. The following day they completed the job and did an excellent job of cleaning up the area. I was very impressed with everyone at the company, from the owners to the crew to the office staff. They made every attempt to work with my schedule, were prompt, professional, and did an excellent job. I hope to NOT need any additional foundation repair - personally - but would recommend this company to anyone who did.

Joe came out in late Dec. and inspected the damaged areas of this 1945 Mill House (built by women during World War 2 from rough lumberand uncured** not a staight or level spot in the whole house**). Work was scheduled for the last full week in March. One week (5 Work days) was expected for completion. When Joe and crew got to the area he could not see, he found an additional 12 ft of girder that needed replaced.. So , along with the additional work and rain (preventing the footer and massonary work along w/inspection). All work accept painting the brick has been completed. Fred and Melissa and Joe and his crew made the experience very enjoyable. Even the price was made more palatable. We are OTR truck drivers and the work was begun on Monday and we were out of town til Wed. Joe called everyday to give me an update. I felt like we were the most important customer they have. Joe would stop to explain and answer any questions I had. I would reccomend them to anyone needing foundation repairs.
Description of Work: Remove and replace up to 28 linear feet of girder including joist Install 24 linear feet of drop girder, including piers with footing Excavate along 12 linear feet of foundation wall (included in above work) Pour 12 linear feet of 12” footing and re-build 12 linear feet of foundation wall with painted brick. Description of Work: Falcone came in and had to replace 30 of the center beam in my crawl space due to terminate damage. Joseph Sherrill came in and went above and beyond of expectations and actually finished 2 days earlier than expected. I went with Falcone because they were the only company that suggested replacing the center beam not just sistering to the existing damaged beam and the quote was the lowest. Joseph also offered to come back for free to do one more additional adjustment to the house. The crew also cleaned up the crawl space so it is much easier to move around and notified me of a water leak that they found, which I fixed after they finished.

Joe and crew were on time, even early. They told me exactly what they would be doing each day and reviewed their progress.at the end of the day. They cleaned up and removed all debris daily. Fred came by and reviewed the progress of the repairs prior to the final jacking up of the foundation. On the day of the leveling, Joe and I walked through the house one more time and then he began the process while I observed. Joe was VERY careful to take his time and thereby minimize the possibility of consequential damage. We discussed the effect on the framing timber of the extreme cold recently and how the house would also probably resettle. He said they included a revisit which he suggested should occur in the spring. I am very happy with the service provided.
Description of Work: A home inspection revealed foundation repairs needed in a 1930's home . Fred came out immediately when I called for an estimate. He did a thorough examination of the crawl space and the house, after which we discussed the job. He recommended removing debris in the crawlspace, rebuilding a number of support piers, replacing certain girders and joists, and installing a vapor barrier in the crawlspace. He walked me through the house to show where floor slope could be improved. He was careful to stress that he could not promise that the floor could be returned to 100% level. He gave me an outline of what would be done and a timeline. Because we were under contract, I put down a deposit to secure the schedule which was to start immediately after closing.

Fred's employees, Joe and Christopher, were very sympathetic to my situation and treated it with urgency, just as I hoped they would. They gave me options for the repair and took care to keep costs low, even though it was an insurance case. They took care to keep my floors clean while they did the work, cleaned up after themselves and were very courteous. The most impressive thing they did for me was to bring to my attention that one of my kitchen windows (just next to the damaged area) was unlatched. I wasn't aware of this, and was very thankful that they told me, because it has nothing to do with the job they were doing and they had no obligation to say anything to me about it. I hope I never have any more structural problems, but if I do, I will definitely use their services in the future!
Description of Work: I had a structural problem with my wall that needed to be fixed urgently. Falcone Contracting was able to come out the next day and give me an estimate, and within a few short days I had the repair started. Insurance covered the cost to Falcone Contracting which was about $2,000.

They tried to put in some girders and tried to level out some areas. It did not really turn out as per my expectation. A couple of people came out several times, and it seemed like they knew what they were doing. They worked on different areas. They were nice and showed up when they were supposed to. I think they tried to do what they could, but it seemed like they just didn't know what they were doing. Their price was good, which is why I chose them. I had gotten estimates from a couple of other companies too.
