I emailed Falcone about the problems I have been having with my home to inquire about their services. I was promptly emailed back, and told I would be receiving a call from a rep to talk to me the next day. As promised, I received a phone call. They were SO very friendly, and helpful. They gladly set up an appointment for someone to come to my home for an estimate. When scheduling the appt. I was given the name of the person that was to come, the time and the option to get an one hour call before arrival. Not only that, as soon as I got off the phone with them, I had an email confirmation of everything that we had discussed. Everything was spot on. Exactly as they had committed to. They showed up exactly on time, and were so professional and courteous. The gentleman took his boots off before entering my home. After his inspection of my crawl space, I was told that I needed approx 9 new sister joist and 6 new piers. All the why's were explained in great detail for me. This visit for the estimate cost me nothing! I was unable to have the work done that day due to the cost of the repairs, however, I will be getting Falcone to do the work when finances are in order!!
Description of Work: Falcone did a thorough check of my crawl space and the effected interior parts of my home, diagnosed the problem and gave me a detailed estimate for repairs.

Will definitely call for their services in the future. They are honest and don't try and get more out of you than what is needed. I highly recommend this company. The young man that came to the house to inspect he was very professional. He was on time and very thorough. I had asked for an expert opinion on what was wrong and needed to be fixed on my foundation.
Description of Work: I feel even though they didn't do it only because I needed an engineer, they had provided an honest and professional opinion. I would recommend them and will even call them on future work.

I got several estimates and picked Falcone because they showed me pictures of the existing problem and gave me a price that reflected what needed to be done without adding additional work that was not needed at this time. Ronnie and his crew showed up on time and completed the work on time and within the approved estimate. I would recommend them to anyone who needs foundation work.
Description of Work: I had a problem with my foundation sagging at a support wall. It turns out the foundation had not been installed correctly when the house was built and to correct the problem I needed to brace the existing support and add cross members to level the area and prevent future sagging.

I called several companies to get an estimate on a potential foundation problem and definitely a brick work problem we are having in one of our bedrooms. Falcone was immediately able to schedule an appointment to come out and give us their take on the problem. Much nicer than having to wait a couple of days to have a rep call you back to make an appointment. The appointment was set at our convenience not the company's time table. MARLIN CANNON was slated to come and when he found he had an earlier time that day he called to see if we could push up our appointment which worked out wonderfully for us. He gave us the time that was required to survey and get some history on the house. I didn't feel rushed at all. It was obvious that he knew what he was talking about since he was able to tell me some of the history before I could tell him. Even knowing that this estimate was not going to pay off in an immediate job, he still got under the house in our very small crawl space and checked things out to make sure what he thought was going on was really what was going on. And, he was the ONLY person I've called out who actually got his hands dirty to give us the information we needed. DING DING DING ... impressed. He did not give us the news we were hoping for but I know that he gave us the real deal of what we are dealing with. He explained things so well. Because it turns out the job is several thousand dollars more than what we were hoping for he helped us brainstorm several different ways to approach it in varying price ranges. When you are talking about spending thousands of dollars, it is nice to feel you have options. If Marlin is representative of Falcone then I would say these are definitely the people you want taking care of your home. He was professional, pleasant, knowledgeable, prompt (early even), polite and not afraid to get his hands dirty.

A section of the hardwood floor in our house was creaking very loudly. Had read about this company on Angie's List and hired them to correct it. Melissa Falcone was very accomodating and arranged for someone to come out on a Saturday so we wouldn't have to wait until the end of the month. Marlon appeared as scheduled and solved the whole problem in less than 2 hours. We were charged less than the original estimate. An excellent experience from start to finish.

They came out and helped us evaluate the issue (some water was coming into the crawlspace) They installed a new french drain closer to the foundation wall. They also leveled out the new french drain, noting that the old french drain had valleys in it that was causing water to pool up and contributing to the moisture problem Finally, they showed me another issue (outside the crawlspace) that was contributing to the problem that was easy for me to fix. They were quite professional, and easy to work with. They did a gre

They were very accommodating. The work was originally scheduled for January 2012 and they were able to change their schedule to do the work the day after Christmas. They got everything done that I needed to get done. They did excellent work. They were competitive with everybody else. It is hard to say anything about the quality because they did foundation work and you cannot go in there and see anything.

The experience from start to finish was a pleasure. Bill showed up exactly at 9 am to look at my issue in the basement and inspect the crawl space. He did not try to sell me anything and in my opinion very honest concerning the work that would be performed. He spent time to listen to me (rare these days) and offer suggestions. In the end, I only needed one support post replaced and was very happy to hear that was all aside from some fallen insulation. Bill's listening and suggestions is what sold me as well as the reviews here. On December 30, 2011, Joe and his crew called me and asked if they could come early since they had finished up on the prior job. I was happy, one they called and two came early. Joe showed up and went right to work. He explained ahead of time what he would be doing and how, and then jumped right to work. After an hour or so, Joe and his crew were finished. They cleaned up, no mess and the post they put in is quite a monster compared to the remaining posts in the basement. Replacing that one post aligned my front door so it opens easily, and made the floor around the staircase solid. Now to all who own a home that is 80 plus years old, please be prepared for some plaster cracks. I had six noticeable ones, but when you move an old foundation, you should expect some corrections. I patched the cracks, primed and painted in a couple of hours. Looks good as new. This company is A+ in my book!

We got a discount from Angie's List. They came in and they did the job the way they said they would, and they left. I like the way they came in and they told me what they were going to do. They removed anything in the crawlspace and put everything back when they were finished. They were in and out very quickly. I was really impressed with them. I thought it was a terrific deal. I called them and they took care of it. The quality of work was terrific. When I called, they were here within 2-3 days. They said they would be here by 8 and they were here by quarter to 8. They left by 10.30.

Overall the project was done very well. From sale to clean up, Falcone did a great job. In terms of price Falcone was very competive with other major companies I looked at (only a couple). The steel columns they installed are heavy-duty, probably overkill for my little cape cod, but I like overkill. My gripe is that the price of materials (lower quality lally columns) would only be ~$1000 and I should have probably saved money and done it myself, but I was uncomfortable with using bottlejacks to raise up my house (more on this below). This is by no means a mark against Falcone. One gripe I do have is that the steel piers were not painted prior to installation. I have went back and painted the exposed surfaces, but the bottom steel plates resting on concrete (most vunerable to rust) are not painted. Seems like such a easy detail that should be included in the price. In terms of leveling the floor, I am satisfied with the job. Old houses are like old bones, or so I hear, and don't like to be moved around to much. Falcone was very careful about not over-stressing the house, which is a definite plus. It is a bit ironic really (read stupid new HO mistake), that leveling the flooring was the whole reason I didn't want to do this job, and I have since come to accept that hey, old houses aren't level! Oh well, live and learn right? In summary, if you are at all uncomfortable about researching and doing a job like this yourself, hire Falcone.
Description of Work: - 4 steel posts; steel plates welded to top and bottom, bolted into place, not painted - 2 masonry piers/footings - raising support girder(s)/joists to level flooring - $3575.00 I have a house built in 1935, with a pier and beam foundation that was(?...tbd) having shifting issues. The builder used questionable judgement in the placement of one of the supports, while 3 beams were missing along load bearing girders. Apparently previous owners decided a telescoping home cheapo jack would would be enough:(. In total, Falcone installed 4 heavy duty steel posts with steel plates welded to the the tops and bottoms, bolted into place, and 2 concrete masonry piers and footings for a total of $3575.00. All this was done in accordance with an engineering report. They also attempted to level out uneven flooring caused by the lack of piers.

They were really quick to respond and came out right away. They also told me that the insulation under my house was put in incorrect. They came back and fixed that for me. They were really nice. I had a busted out vent that they fixed for free. He even noticed that I had a lot of dirt around my water heater under my home, so he came back to sweep all of that for me. They went above and beyond. They are an excellent company. They were really quick to respond and came out right away.

The only thing better than having had Falcone repair my foundation would have been to not have had to do the work in the first place. From start to finish, every single person I dealt with was remarkable: professional, efficient, knowledgeable, hard-working, friendly, and so unbelievably easy to work with. They dealt skillfully with unexpected problems and surprises along the way, including bad weather and particularly a previously-unknown attempt to fix the foundation which was actually making the problem worse. From my perspective, their concern was not just with doing the job, but doing it right, and in many cases seemed to me to be going above-and-beyond, without adding to the price or the anxiety of having the work done. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

Nothing much more to report since no work was done and of course they didn't tell me that I had a problem that I really didn't have just to get my money.
Description of Work: I was wrongly informed by my lawn service that I had a foundation issue in the back of my house. I obviously called three contractors to get to the bottom of this. Falcone was one of the three that I had called and saw only two of them once I realized that I didn't have a foundation problem since they were scheduled to come on the same day. I was very happy that I didn't cancel my meeting with Marlon Cannon because although they couldn't get the work, he gave me very detailed instructions on what I did need to do in order to properly fix the erosion problem that we were having. He told me the proper people to call and gave me a rough estimate of the amount that a good contractor would quote. This let me know that the proposed solution offered by my lawn company was a temporary fix and not a permanent solution. I am very grateful for this advice that I will definitely take care of next year since it will cost more than I knew it would. I would rather fix it once properly than to pay over and over for something that won't work and be more frustrated. If I do have foundation issues, I wouldn't hesistate to call them and get a good estimate of what really is the problem. They are honest people.

They came the day after we called. They even came early in the morning because we both work and couldn't be home all day. They gave us an estimate based on the total sq. footage but when they got under the house they found that part of the house, the addition, already had a vapor barrier so they lowered the price substantially. I had no idea part of the house was already protected, and they easily could have not told us. They also gave us inexpensive tricks to keep the house drier in the future.

It was a pleasure dealing with everyone at Falcone. They were friendly, professional, punctual, did a great job, and really cleaned up after themselves. Their fees were reasonable. They also travel from another state so it's especially impressive that they deliver such excellent service in spite of the distance they have to drive. I will definitely recommend them to friends and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
Description of Work: After getting an energy audit on our house, we were told that we needed to replace the vapor barrier in our crawl space. A few weeks later a coupon offering that very service appeared on Angie's List using Falcone. They were friendly, prompt and very professional. They took away the old vapor barrier, replaced it with a nicer, heavier weight plastic and fastened it securely, a far superior job than what was previously installed. While they were under the house they noticed the extensive damage that was done to the insulation under the floors by a rodent invasion a few years back ( another top rated Angie's List service provider got rid of them!). The contractor told us they could take care of that too and gave us an estimate. A week later a different crew came out took out all the old insulation, replaced it with new insulation and the crawl space was like new. A huge bonus point goes to that second crew because while they were tearing out the old insulation they noticed some water damage in the sub flooring. The contractor came to the door to tell me about it and asked to come in to show me the exact location of the leak. He walked right up to our relatively new chest freezer, moved it and there it was. It was a slow leak and since there was no water on the floor we might not have noticed until it was too late. The damage was minor, but the freezer had to be replaced. He really saved us a major headache in the future!

This was an Angie's list DEAL. Working with Mary Ann at Falcone to schedule the work was a pleasure. The Falcone guys turned up on schedule and did an excellent job. The wall now looks like new.
Description of Work: The central column in my garage had settled (foundation problem subsequently repaired using a helical pile). This caused a long crack in brickwork above the garage door. Falcone removed the cement pointing from around the affected brickwork and replaced it with new pointing.
