-Quote and estimate provided by Ronnie Watkins: Ronnie showed up on time, and it was clear that he knows this business. He was able to quickly provide a quote (before he left) after a complete inspection of our crawlspace. The great thing I found about dealing with Falcone is that the will NOT oversell you repairs that are not needed. Ronnie actually ended up making two trips after we discovered a French drain needed to be installed. We had already hired another contractor to install the French drain, but Ronnie visited anyway to reassess the job to ensure nothing had changed. Ronnie was prompt and quickly answered a couple of questions I submitted via email. Falcone was able to work with my schedule after I had to push the job back by a week. -Performance of Work: The 3 man installation team arrived on time, and was led by team chief Tim Christian with Paul and Chris helping. Tim introduced himself on Day 1, and gave me a status report at each end of day. I was able to inspect their work afterwards at the end of each day and call Tim with any questions. The work was originally scheduled for W/Th/Friday, but took longer than expected, and the team stayed through Saturday to get it done (no extra charge). My neighbor was home during the day and commented about how hard they were working all day long every day. During the job, the company owner Fred Falcone, visited to check on progress of the job. He instructed the team to add a few structural members that weren't on the original quote at no cost. Tim's team worked through some challenging circumstances including an improperly grounded junction box in the crawlspace that shocked one of the team members (I had it fixed) and plumbing that had to be moved in order to repair a floor joist. -Result: Our floors stiffened up as promised, and the vapor barrier is making a huge difference in our indoor air quality. I need to add some additional piers in the future and will definitely give this team a chance to bid.
Description of Work: -Crawlspace Structural repair: Remove and replace band, repair loose brick/hole in foundation, joint sister repair-Vapor Barrier: Clean out crawlspace and Install 6 mil vapor barrier.Bands replaced were in master bedroom area and kitchen area due to old water damage and rot.-1921 Craftsman home over crawlspace.

While the company normally does foundation work, they offered an Angie's List deal for tuckpointing, or repairing brick and concrete cracks. I had a number of minor cracks in the brick facing on a couple of walls of the house. I called, and they were able to send a guy out after about 2 weeks. He looked at the work, agreed that it was in the scope of the deal, but was uncertain if he could do much about a very irregularly-shaped crack at a seam in between some brick and rock facing. But he'd give it a shot. All of the work was performed flawlessly, even the tricky bit that he was unsure about. After about a week, the mortar color age differences vanished, and it is nearly impossible to tell that there had ever been repair work performed.

It went extremely well. They far exceeded expectations.
Description of Work: The came out to install new crawlspace plastic as part of an Angie's Lists super low-price special offer. While they we on-site I asked if they did insulation installation, also, and they did. My 25 year-old insulation was in bad shape so I hired them to replace it. They drove to Lowe's, bought the materials and installed it without hesitation and at an amazingly low price. I was extremely pleased with all of the work they performed. They installed very high-quality plastic under the house, removed all of the old insulation and plastic and installed the new in the same day.

The crawlspace was a real mess before Falcone came in! I'd had new water heater, new HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work done and there was lots of junk all over the place. There was already a plastic moisture barrier but they replaced it after cleaning out all the debris. The men were careful of my yard when pulling their truck in and they were very cordial.

Very impressed that they came out to review my situation in reasonable amount of time and was punctual. Marlin, was very friendly and professional. I gave him my theory and he crawled under my house to review. My suspicion was right. The issue had to do with outside drain backing up. He gave advice on what I could do on my own and he felt that was the best route. No charge for the advice and time he spent. I really appreciated their honesty and will definitely use them in the future should I need to.

The team obviously knew what they were doing. They went straight to work and completed the job in about 3 hours! Everything looks great. This was a very courteous and respectful team.
Description of Work: A squirrel got into the crawl space under my house and tore down a lot of insulation. I contacted Falcone through Angies' List to get a quote. I checked around but found their quote to be lower than others. We set a date for the installation in Raleigh, NC. The team arrived before the scheduled time and completed the insulation installation in just a few hours. My son had already removed the old insulation, so they breezed through the job. When I called the office to pay for the job, Eve was very knowledgeable and efficient with processing the payment. Eve was the final pleasant touch on a very positive experience. I usually give both positive and negative comments, but from start to finish, I cannot think of anything negative to report.

Start to finish, a great experience. Marlin came out the day after I called to do the estimate, and was very helpful in describing what I would need, and even pointed out a bowed girder that needed repair that I had not noticed. His explanations and professionalism were top notch. The job required 3 days of work, and their crew was on time and punctual all three days. The only hiccup was they nicked a water pipe while working on the girder and it started leaking. They immediately turned off the water to the house, let me know, and a after a short trip to Lowe's, they had repaired the pipe. I was impressed on how well they handled this minor mistake, and made sure everything was right before they left for the day.The crew was Blake and Paul, and a crew supervisor. It's clear to me that Falcone only hires crew members that can maintain a high level of professionalism. Blake and Paul would keep me notified about what they were doing each day, and explain what their next steps would be. I would definitely recommend Falcone to anyone needing foundation repair.

We were very pleased with the work of the crew and impressed by their promptness, courtesy and professionalism.
Description of Work: We called for an estimate and the company made an appointment for estimate in approx 2 days. We felt the estimate was very fair. Our start date was in approx 2 weeks. we received a phone call that the crew would arrive about 10:00am. Jim and his crew arrived and began work immediately. Every step of the job was done in a professional manner and hey all worked as a team. They had to cut three openings and removed brick and block from our basement walls. When they thought there might be a drainage problem in front of one window, they dug a window well ,drainage ditch and installed a metal barrier. They sealed the openings at the end of day one. The next day they arrived early and began the job of installing the three windows. They installed moldings on the inside and outside of the house. They cleaned up and removed all the debris and specifically asked us if we were pleased with the job. (We Were)

I wanted a vapor barrier installation and suspected I might need some subfloor repairs also due to a sagging in an inconspicuous area in my hardwood. The initial contact and scheduling was prompt and professional. The team arrived on the scheduled day and inspected the crawl space and confirmed my suspicions, I needed some subfloor replaced due to water damage from a A/C duct. They quickly gave me an estimate for the extra work and were able to come back the next day to do the repairs, the vapor barrier, and an extra scuttle door entrance I decided I wanted. The work was finished that next day and they did a remarkable job at even less than quoted due to finding the extent of damaged area wasn't as bad once they got into the job, plus I received a discount on the vapor barrier. All repairs were done from the crawlspace with no need to remove or alter the interior hardwood floors. I would highly recommend them for any structural repairs you might need and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

I am VERY impressed with the service I received from Falcone. I purchased the Big Deal from Angie's List (full-service vapor barrier installation (up to 500 sq ft) for only $229 which included a visual inspection, tacking up any loose wires, removing debris from crawl space, and taking before/after pictures. My crawl space is larger than 500 sq ft, and Falcone extended me a discount rate of only $0.40 per additional square foot. John and Blake came out to my house as scheduled (after driving from North Carolina where the company is located) and went straight to work. They worked all day long clearing out all sorts of debris from my crawl space and then laid down a vapor barrier. They even filled in dirt around the edges of the crawl space where it had eroded away. I was informed at the end of the day that their light went out halfway through the day so they did a majority of the work in the dark! I was quoted to have the same service done by Crawl Space Doctor for $2500-$3500 whereas Falcone did the same thing for $461! I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend using Falcone!

I purchased 2 Angie's list big deals - one for foundation cracks and one for a vapor barrier. They fixed 4 foundation cracks fo $185 and installed a new vapor barrier in the entire crawl space for $350. They were great! They showed up exactly when they were scheduled and when they left they even toted all the junk from the crawl space even though we had a construction dumpster there! I would recommend them to anyone that needs any foundation or vapor barrier work done! Thank you for a job well done!

Falcone sent James, Gary, and Jason from Charlotte, NC down to Seneca, SC to do the work for us. They arrived around 9:30 AM on the day we had scheduled. After talking with me and verifying the work to be done, they crawled underneath the house and got started. This is hard work and dirty work, but they persevered with no complaints. They kept us posted as they found additional problems. They worked tirelessy, but were always friendly and polite. They adjusted and tried to fix everything we asked them to do. By Wednesday evening when they left, we had doors closing smoothly that had refused to close for several years. The area in the hallway where the floor had dropped about an inch below the shoe molding came back up flush with the botton of the molding. Many creaks and squeaks in the floors disappeared. They also corrected a botched job from years ago that had caused our living room floor to be very unlevel. They came back on Thursday morning to tweak everything. They said they would come back in 6-9 months for shim and adjusting after everything had settled. We think they did an exellent job on a house that has sections that were constructed before the 1880's. We would highly recommend these three men to anyone who has doors that won't close, cracks in your walls, etc. James and his team know what they are doing.
Description of Work: Falcone sent someone out the same week I called to give us an estimate. He was very knowledgable about foundation repair on old houses. He estimated the most we would need, and said our bill would be adjusted if we didn't need something. We schedulde a crew to come and remove all of our old insulation, remove a stump underneath our house used as a foundation pier in the original construction, and build 6 new piers . They got ready to install the six piers, and realized that one wall had no support, so they installed a footing and then the pier. They sealed all gaps between foundation and wall with non-shrink grout, and all other penetrations with foam. They built and installed 7 foundation piers in all. They removed part of a subfloor that had been damaged by water and termites and replaced it, and added a joist sister. We decided not to replace the insulation at this time, but they had originally agreed to do that also.

They replaced some rotted subfloor that was beneath a bathroom. They did it from the crawlspace, so had to cut and then re-install joists as part of the process. My reason for doing it was because when we bought the house the home inspector said it should be done so that the toilet would have a secure attachment point. The install went pretty good, and they had a guy come a few days later to check the work. However, I realized once I had a plumber come to install a new toilet that they did not install subfloor right up to the toilet sewer pipe, but had a left a large gap there. I was disappointed that it was not correct for toilet installation since that was the whole reason I got it done, but they sent somebody else out and resolved it and it seems to be good now. I would recommend this company, everybody I've dealt with has been nice and they seem to stand behind their work.

Falcone contacted me to set up a date for the work. They were prompt and did what they said they would do. No pressure to do anything else -- no bait and switch. Very positive experience.
Description of Work: I took advantage of an Angie's List special to have a vapor barrier placed in the crawl space beneath my house. Work involved was dirty and difficult due to difficult to access areas. The crew did a fantastic job -- covered every square inch. The completed job was neat and professional. The workers were considerate and worked hard. I would seriously consider Falcone for other foundation issues based on the quality of work performed and value.

Marlin, came out initially to inspect a crack in the basement wall and installed two crack monitors. I had a problem with moisture in the corner of the house, which required drainage. He was exactly on time, very professional and helpful. Ronnie Watkins, came out on 2/22 and very efficiently with his two crew members, installed drain, put down grass seed and left the yard very neat. Company was very responsive calling to schedule and kept me very well informed about who would be and when.
