Great team came out and fixed our rotten joist. Even though the repairs took longer than expected based on the tight working space, was not charged for any additional than than original quote. Very happy with their promptness and dedication. I would recommend to anyone looking for a joist repair. In addition to the joist, the team noticed another issue and fixed it free of charge.

They responded promptly to my call and showed up when they were supposed to. However, I had previously indicated I had been having some water issues in the crawl space and it may be too wet/damp to install the vapor barrier and when they arrived, they found that it was, in fact, too damp and my money was refunded. I appreciate that they didn't try to convince me to install the barrier when the dampness needed to be resolved first. Still working on the problem. Forgot I had not filed a review.

Prompt for inspection and giving an estimate. When I called the office to get more information and have the work performed no one from the company ever contacted me again.
Description of Work: Marlin came to do an inspection of termite damaged foundation and give an estimate for work on 9/6/12. I went to my email for the completed estimate then contacted the office about some questions I had before securing the service. I was given the technician's cell phone number. I called the number and left a message . No one ever called me back and it has been over a month since the initial estimate was received.

My initial conversation with Melissa was exceptionally pleasant. I was impressed with her customer service skill. I immediately paid for the advertised special (500 ft of moisture barrier installation), and agreed to pay the remaining balance upon completion. On the day of installation, the installers arrived 10 minutes before scheduled which was also commendable. When finished, one of the installers asked what my previous crawl space footage estimate was. When I told him 768 sq ft, he replied that it was actually 1400 sq ft!!! When he noticed my response, he added that some companies measure differently. He then showed me what remained of the roll of plastic explaining that he'd purchased the 2000 ft roll that morning, implying that a considerable amount had been used. This of course meant that my balance was now $450 instead of the expected $134. I reluctantly called the office and paid the balance but was very uncomfortable with the calculation. How could my two-story home which is only 1751 sq ft. have a crawl space measuring 1400? I then verified my previous estimate of footage and called Orkin, my termite coverage carrier, who also confirmed my crawl space was only 768 sq ft. I also took my own rough measurement which was nearly the same as Orkin's. After which I called Falcone's office to explain my confusion. The lady said she would consult with the installer and follow up with me. I received a call the following day from a lady stating that she'd looked at my home on Google earth and determined that my footage was approximately 800 ft. She explained that she would refund a portion of my payment because she did not want to lose my business. I was of course pleased to hear this. However I was disappointed because she never offered an explanation or an apology for the $316 "error." I surmised that the installer included my garage in his measurement of my crawl space, intentionally bumping up the price. How could an avowed experienced installer (based upon our conversation) be unaware that he was measuring my garage? If nothing else he should have been alerted to a possible error when his calculation was twice that of the original!

The guys were on time and did a lot of work in a short period of time. They had to let the cement dry so they came back the next day (on time) and installed the girders and beams that were needed. When they were done I crawled under the house to see what was done. They came with me and explained what they had done. They were very knowledgeable and professional.
Description of Work: Paul and Devoris came to my home, explained what they were going to do and did it. They were very professional, explained why I had a problem in the first place and then fixed it. I would recommend them to anyone in the future that needs their home repaired. They were very nice and seemed to have a lot of experience. I bought a new home in 2009 and have had many problems with it. A month after we moved in the hardwood flooring started to come apart in the middle of the house. A wall closest to the middle started cracking at the top. There ended up being about a 1/4" gap in the floor and 1\2" at the top of the wall on one side. The builder (Keith Combs) sent a floor man to have a look and told him to sand my floor. He then sent another person to fill in the gap at the top of the wall with sheet-rock mud and then paint over the problem. I would not allow them to do that because I knew the problem would come back after they left. I explained to the builder that sanding and such would not fix the problem. I have not heard from him since that time. Paul and Devoris explained to me that I had no support under my house except for the main center beam and to fix the problem they would have to put in six piers and two girders to help support one side of my house. They also put in some other things to help support the house better and to assure it will stay fixed. After they fixed the problems the wall that had the gap was so tight that all it will need is painting. You can't tell there was a problem before. I'm a very happy and satisfied customer that will definitely use these guys for other things my house will need in the future.

The job went well overall. It took a little longer than quoted, I do feel like the quote could have been more thorough, but the guys doing the work were thorough. The one thing they forgot to do was cut out the holes in the floor for the registers. But I'm sure they would have if I'd called them back for that, I just went ahead and did it myself because I had someone coming to install carpet. I had a problem with my dryer after they left, and I called them back to make sure they'd hooked up the vent correctly and they came out and it turned out it was just a lint blockage in the duct under the house and they cleaned it out for me for free even though it wasn't their fault. I appreciated that. There were some other problems along the way, but none of them were their fault, it was just that the house was constructed so poorly. They did a really good job of taking care of everything that needed taking care of.

Every time it would rain heavily or whenever we would do laundry, my daughter's closet floor would get wet. Two plumbers has already come out and told me that it was not a plumbing leak or trouble with the septic tank, but rather a foundation leak. I emailed Falcone Crawl Space & Structural Repair to see about getting an estimate done. I told them what days I worked and what days I would be home. When they replied to my email, they wanted to set the appointment for a day when I would be at work, rather then when I would be home. I replied and told them that that day would not work, because I would not be at home. I then told them again what days I would be available. They did not reply. I emailed them two more times and called once and left a message over the next couple of weeks, but I never got a reply. :(

I regret that this homeowner is unhappy with my communication. When I leave a message for someone and don't hear back, I should always follow up with an email or second voice mail. This was my mistake. I did exchange emails with Member, and offered our first available date and said any day the following week would also be available. She replied 16 days later, and I called and left a message, but did not also send the email. I wish her only the best and offer my most sincere apologies.

Overall, Falcone showed themselves to be a good company to deal with. I only dealt with them this one time so far, but I am giving them an A.
Description of Work: They did good work as far as I can see so far. They did clean out the crawlspace. They laid down the plastic and fastened it to the ground but they did not tape the edges. The problem was that the service men broke a light fixture and left without telling me. I contacted Falcone's offices and they refunded me the price I paid to replace the broken light fixture and added a little on top of that. The service technicians did something wrong but that is not Falcone's way of doing things. They quickly made things right and I am therefore giving them the highest recommendation. Falcone has very good ethics. The price was also very reasonable.

The Falcone team from scheduling to team leader Chris were very professional and straight forward. My floor is now level and any issues were addressed with a clear plan b ready approach that was clearly articulated and implemented. I look forward to the planned followup visit.
Description of Work: I have a 900 sq foot house built in the 1920's and moved to present location in the 1990's. Due to improper construction techniques, the middle of the house had sunken in. The Falcone team installed a drop girder to reinforce and level the area.

I did not contract with Falcone only because they do not really do the kind of work that I need. But if they did, I would have hired them without hesitation.
Description of Work: Ronnie Watkins is GREAT! He came to evaluate the foundation problem I'm having with my front porch. (My front porch is on a separate slab from the house, but it supports a small roof, which is attached to the house and covers a 6' x 26' front porch.) Over the years, the foundation has obviously settled, causing cracks in the concrete as well as separation from the house.) I was really afraid that the settling of the front porch would cause significant damage to the front of the house, especially the siding. Ronnie spent a good bit of time looking at everything and then he was completely honest and explained this wasn't really their kind of work. The reason for that was primarily due to the fact that (he assured me) my problem is more cosmetic/aesthetic and NOT actually structural. They specialize in fixing more structural problems. Obviously, he completely relieved my fears and concerns. He took the time to explain several options to me, such as pressure grouting (which I have to admit I had never heard of). He described the process and said he thought it might be a good option for my situation. If Falcone provided the type of service that I most likely need, I would not hesitate to hire them based on the upfront honesty of Ronnie! I would feel confident recommending Falcone to everyone I know that needs their kind of expertise. It restores your faith in contractors when someone so geniune and honest (and friendly! :) helps you!

When I called for assistance, they sent someone to assess what my needs might be. He spent all the time I needed answering my questions about what was causing the cracks in my wall. He showed me in the crawl space where the piers would be placed for the needed support of the floor joists. He provided an estimate good for 90 days. When I called to schedule the work, the office was very responsive. The installers showed up on time and were very courteous. I wanted to see that the piers were being placed where I expected and that the piers didn't interfere with the other pipes, wires, etc. They were very willing have me follow them into the crawl space. They took all the time I needed to get my questions answered.
Description of Work: Installed 2 piers under floor joist to support washer/dryer above. Tightened drop girders elsewhere under the house.

After three weeks of trying to fix a water problem in my crawlspace, I finally called a contractor. I chose Falcone because they did incredible work for me a few years ago. I was not disappointed. They quickly sent Ronnie to give me a quote that was reasonable and worked with me on the most viable solution. I contracted for a French drain with a sub-pump system inside the crawl space along one wall. As I was finishing up some cement patch work on my driveway, I broke my arm. As I am now unable to do anything, I called Falcone back and asked if they could finish the outside ditch I had started, lay the vapor barrier and install a few panels of insulation. All the representatives of Falcone have a ?Can-Do? spirit and were honest and fair in their pricing. Yesterday, the crew arrived to perform the services and I could not be more pleased. Warren, the Crew Leader, is a perfectionist and was not satisfied unless the job was PERFECT!!! They worked a solid 8-9 hour day without any breaks. It is just unbelievable in this day and age to see such integrity and hardworking individuals and always with a pleasant and positive attitude. They were very knowledgeable and skilled at their craft (as I tend to ask a lot of questions). It was a very hot day too. The morale of my story is to stop trying to fix everything myself. Falcone is at the top of my list for any crawlspace / foundational issues since they are a company that provides only the highest quality of service - simply OUTSTANDING!
Description of Work: French Drain in crawl space along one wall that leads to a small sub-pump system that removes water through a small pipe to the exterior and away from the house. Electrician installed wire and plug connection. Installed a few panels of insulation and laid plastic throughout crawlspace as a vapor barrier. (I provided supplies) Completed outside ditch (at the foot of a hill) to facilitate as an exterior french drain.

The company came out very quickly and did the job. It looks great, and I've had several contractors comment on how nice it looks. My only regret would be that I did not notice the square footage covered by the Big Deal was really only half of my crawl space, and so I had to pay an additional approx. $400 to have the entire crawl space covered. They installed it in the entire crawl space without getting my permission to do so--so I did not have a chance to tell them to just install it in the space covered by the Big Deal. Considering that my house is pretty small--a split level 3 bedroom, approx. 2500 square foot house--I would have expected the Big Deal to cover most of my crawl space area, not just 1/2 of it. My fault for not noticing that in the Big Deal details, but perhaps this could have been highlighted more in the ad or at least the company could have informed me of what the additional cost was going to be before they installed the vapor barrier over the entire crawl space.

They did an excellent job and were extremely reasonable in price. Their estimate was much lower than others.
Description of Work: They did great work! They came out and it took them about a day and half. As the house settled, the support beams under the kitchen and bathroom had cracked. They had to jack up the floor in the kitchen and bath area crawlspace. They made the repairs and installed piers to prevent further sagging. They had a bit of a problem where some duct work was damaged, but they were able to subcontract that work out so I didn't have to worry about it.
