Falcone Crawl Space & Structural Repair

The person from Falcone was honest with us that the waterproofing system we had installed was done well and properly, and that the source of the continued problem was what we had been told previously. This was too small a project for Falcone, but he still spent a few minutes noting some other things we could do w/ landscaping to reduce the problem over time. He reassured us that we did not need to spend thousands of dollars to redo the system or add onto it. Points for honesty and professionalism - I'd trust them and recommend them.

This was an excellent deal and I was more than happy to take advantage of the offer. The crew was punctual, friendly and quick and the install was super easy. Customer service was outstanding when we spoke on the phone. I highly recommend this company.

The Falcone team did an excellent job. They estimated the cost over the phone which saved a required at home meeting. The actual cost came in less than the estimate. A two person team did the work. They were very efficient and pulled a lot of debris from the crawl space and the vapor barrier installation looked great. I highly recommend this company's work and would definitely use them again when the need arises.

Joseph and Tyler replaced the sub floor in the hall closet and added two sister joists. They were competent, hard working, friendly and pleasant. I would use this company again for any foundation repair needs.

It went fine. They were on time, did fast work, and it was done very well. It turned out that the Angie's List deal I purchased however was nowhere near enough square footage to cover the full crawl space, and I was hit with the choice for a "up charge" on the day of service. Now, to be fair, I was given the option well before the work began, and chose to do the job anyway. I am simply surprised that these types of deals are even advertised, as they almost never cover the full square footage for the job you think you are paying for, thus almost always generating that dreaded "up charge", and not really saving much $$ in the end. This company had extremely good customer service however, did the job extremely well, and were prompt and professional. My gripe is certainly not with them whatsoever. I am simply very cautious of any deals I purchase on Angie's List since then, and make sure I measure in advance to avoid the same situations.

They arrived on time even early the second day. Explained how they were going to level the floor. Also let me know how much time everything would take since they needed two days to do the work correctly. Repaired a vent because they needed to go thru the opening. It looked better after they repaired it. Made sure everything was back to normal and never gave me any cause to question what they were doing. They even checked and repositioned another pier with no extra charge.

This is the second home I've used Falcone on. I purchased a foreclosure that had some water damage issues that were pointed out during inspection. I had gotten some other estimates that were slightly lower but I trust Falcone to do the best job on foundation / crawlspace issues. The crew arrived to the site right on time and the crew (3) worked for about 4 hours to complete the job. They explained exactly what they did. Work was completed to my satisfaction

This company is listed on Tallahassee's Angie's List in multiple categories, despite the fact that their service area is North Carolina and North Georgia. Boo, Angie's list! You wasted my time!

These guys were prompt and did a good job.

We called Falcone and several other companies for an estimate when we discovered wood rot issues in the back lower part of our deck against the house. They were knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and we scheduled the job with them the following week. Unfortunately, it didn't get recorded on the schedule by accident, and they did not show up on the morning we expected - a quick call to them resolved it - they rescheduled for a few days later and offered us a discount for the inconvenience. They arrived promptly on the new scheduled day - were professional, hard working, and explained everything they were planning. They pulled a permit and followed all the proper steps in making the repair. On the final day, Mr. Falcone came and inspected the work - and they returned on Monday to wrap up everything. We feel the work done was solid and we are thrilled to have found Falcone - we will hire them again if we ever have another crawl space issue.

They were on time, every one of the work team was friendly and seemed to care about their jobs. They started on time and worked really hard without much idle time They were thorough and cleaned up as they said they would.

I place several calls and emails to this provider and they never responded. Very unprofessional.

Mark and his crew did a fantastic job. They were on time, clean, polite, and hard working. Mark also took the time to explain everything they did.

He suggested that if I had a warranty I should get the first company to honor it. He also suggested I get a structural inspection to show the first company what was needed to correct the problems. I took some of his advice but a structural inspection is pricey. Instead I have been trying to get the first company back for over two months now. Right now I'm at their mercy to honor the warranty, it appears if it is to be at all it will be at the company's convenience. I dare not bring in anyone else to go behind this contractor I'm afraid it would void the warranty.

We had some drainage issues on the side of our home. We were worried that it was causing damage to the foundation. Falcone came and took a look. Said it wasn't a foundation issue, just a landscaping issue. They were honest about not needing to perform any work.

Shortly after joining Angie's list I searched for a company to replace the original insulation in the crawl space beneath our twelve-year old home. It was apparently in terrible condition and our high heating bills from the previous winter reflected how significant the problem had become. After reading the numerous positive reviews from other AL members regarding Falcone's service I thought they would be a "slam dunk". The next day I enthusiastically contacted Falcone and identified myself as a AL member (to qualify for a discount posted on their site) and provided the details of the job (address, size of home, etc). Eve, their customer service representative, was very pleasant and indicated although they were based in Charlotte (about 180 miles away) our home was in their service area and they would be happy to provide us with an estimate. We agreed upon a total price based on the square footage of our home as referenced on a recent survey. However Eve indicated that the on-site team would take additional measurements and the final price would be adjusted accordingly. She further stated that they had a team in the area and they could start on our home the next afternoon. Shortly thereafter we received an automated service reminder notification via e-mail that their team would arrive the next day between noon and 1p. The following day around 2p they still had not shown up and my wife was concerned as she had to leave for an appointment. About 15 minutes later as she was leaving a note for the crew with directions to the crawl space entrance they finally showed up. They apologized for being tardy and got right to work. However around 4:30p they indicated they were done for the day and would return bright and early the next morning. They had removed quite a bit of the old insulation and loaded it in their truck. The next morning around 10:30a they still had not shown back up so I called Eve to see if everything was alright. She told me she would find out and call me right back. About ten minutes later a gentleman called and identified himself as a Falcone supervisor and apologized for the crew's tardiness. He explained they had run into a problem finding a place to dispose of the old insulation but would arrive soon to finish the job. Although he sounded very sincere in his apology I found it odd that an insulation company that serviced our area frequently would not know where they could dispose of old insulation (in fact they could have asked me for directions to the landfill or the transfer station). Regardless the crew finally showed up and by late in the day had completed the job. On the Falcone website and in their literature they indicate a homeowner will receive before and after photos of the work and several of the AL reviews also suggested that the on-site crew had alerted them to conditions under the house that may need additional attention (water stains, etc). When I called Eve the next morning with my credit card number to settle the bill, she stated that the measurements taken by the on-site crew reflected a higher number than on our survey and the total price would be adjusted up accordingly. Additionally, they had been apparently unable to reuse ANY of the existing insulation (which would have been credited back to us) so we were charged for the full amount. At that point I asked about the pictures and she mentioned that the crew had not uploaded them yet however once they were available she would let me know. She processed my credit card and thanked me for our business. About two weeks later I still had not received any photos of the work so I sent a follow-up reminder e-mail to Eve, To this date I have never heard back from anyone at Falcone and since I am physically unable to crawl under our home have never seen the finished product. Final analysis: Based upon the numerous glowing AL reviews I selected Falcone and paid a bit more than I originally budgeted since I felt we were purchasing a higher quality service from an proven provider. In the end the service was average at best and without the follow-up photos I couldn't even guarantee that the job was completed satisfactorily.

They did what was advertised. Probably took metal stuff to recycling for money, which is fine because I didn't have to do it. I did not feel like I had to watch them every second.

The men were completed the task and provided pictures of the before and after work.
