Kim was great, she created a living space that is calming. The house looks better than it ever did and I love being in it. The entire house has a "flow" to it from one room to the next. The new door is stunning from the inside out. Through-out the entire project Kim stayed in touch via email, text and calls. There was never a doubt in my mind that KIM was the right person for this project. My only regret was that I didn't to this sooner!

Kim made several suggestions that I might not have thought of such as buyers today are turned off by bright brash finishes. She recommended we change out our door knobs, etc as well as outside porch lights. I think the suggestions were right on and after a simple cost/benefit analysis I took her advice about 80% of the time. I would highly recommend her. She also has followed up several times to see how I was coming with the updating and if I had any questions.

WOW, what an excellent experience! We could not be happier. We initially asked Kim to come in and review our home and our ideas. She reviewed the home on her own, prepared some notes and then did a walkthrough with us to discuss. She left us with prioritized list of action items (things to-do, change, move, fix, re-arrange, etc.). What a difference! In addition to some of the standard things that every owner should do in staging their home (like de-cluttering), she pointed out many other aspects of things that buyers are going to look at and consider - some unconsiously, that we needed to address. Remember, that you are now wearing the sales hat and not selling your house but a piece of property - and there are competitors for those sales dollars. You are competing against new and/or upgraded homes and need to position your home in the best possible light, minimizing objections before they arise and showcasing the homes best aspects. We went over and above Kim's initial required list and took on all of the optional items listed as well. We replaced all of the brass door handles, hingles, towel rods, light fixtures. We updated the front door hardware, we replaced several ceiling fans, bought service sets for the deck furniture, replaced some pillows and lamps and the like. The home presented magnificently - we didn't want to leave! The listing photographs really popped. By the way, there was another home in our neighborhood already for sale of similar SF and layout. We received multiple offers and closed/moved while the other home remained on the market. Without reservation, we would never do this again without Kim and her team!

Kim was wonderful. She was creative and helped me stay with in a budget that I needed for decorating our home. I love the colors we choose for the interior. All of the window treatments look wonderful. She helped to make sure that the colors matched to the cabinets of the kitchen since we have an open floor plan. I am very pleased with our final results and would gladly use Kim again.

All told, good experience. Kim has great followup communications. She has a good eye for color, great tips for staging and decorating.

My experience with Kim was terrific and the person she recommend for design/decorating is the person we will use. She did not have to refer anyone to us, nor did she have to recontact us for the names and numbers of contractors for us to use. Her follow-up was excellent. I would not hesitate to use her services in the future!

Due to a job relocation we were unexpectedly required to sell our house and move to another state. Houses in our area typically sit on the market 120 days and more and with a new job starting in a couple weeks we didn't want to wait that long and disrupt our family for an extended period. We decided to contact Kim at Staged for Selling to give us a leg up on the market. After talking to Kim while we were scheduling the consultation I knew we made the right decision. She was knowledgeable about local real estate and what it takes to sell a house in this very sluggish but competitive market. From the initial phone call to the final follow up, working with Kim has been a pure delight. She came out on a Saturday and did a complete walk through of our house. Kim is also a Buyer?s Agent, and it was clear within the first few minutes that she really knew what buyers see when they view a house. After the extensive walk through, Kim reviewed all of her recommendations with us, answering all our questions. She left us with details recommendations for each room and each area of the yard as well as the Top 10 hit list. She was spot on. We followed her recommendations and our house was under contract after less than 10 days on the market. All of Kim's suggestions are just that?suggestions. It is up to the home owner to decide what they want to do and what they can afford. She will help you prioritize to get the best bang for your buck. During the process Kim was always available to answer questions and keep us on track. I have, and will continue to recommend Staged for Selling to anyone I know who is selling their home. I?ve talked to other home owners who thought they could get all they needed to know off of the home improvement shows and their houses are still on the market. If we were not leaving the area I would have hired Kim to help me decorate our new house. She has excellent taste and knows what it takes to highlight the features of a house.

Kim Trouten and her assistant Kim Peroyea were simply outstanding - in EVERYTHING they did. They were very professional, knowledgeable, helpful, accomodating, etc. Both my husband and I travel extensively with our jobs and are often away from home for weeks at a time. Kim and Kim were godsends - especially Kim Peroyea, who was our main contact. We were instantly comfortable with entrusting our home to her. She was also a pure joy to work with. I would recommend them to anyone. They made the job of getting our house ready for market so easy - had we known it would be this easy, we would have put our home on the market much earlier. I would also recommend them for interior decorating. We got a glimpse at their outstanding taste just from the staging recommendations and implementation they did. Their attitude/philosophy is extremely customer-centric and sincere - very refreshing in this electronic age. They were also very competitively priced. We would hire them again in an instant.

Our experience with Kim was very positive. She was prompt and followed through with all aspects of the visit. I feel that the recommendations given by Kim where right on target to get our home ready to sell. It was a wonderful experience to have her come through our home.

Kim was prompt for the consult and did a fabulous job recommending a change in hardware, countertops, paint color and furniture arrangement in the house.

I put my home on the market after taking Kim's recommendations for staging and got an offer after approx 3 weeks of my home being on the market. This offer will become a contract in the next few days. Kim did an excellent job and has a taste that appeals to the general population. I really liked her ideas, most of them being simple ideas I just hadn't thought of. In my case, I spent an additional approx $150 decorating my house with the things she recommended, but for the most part I just moved things around in my house as Kim saw fit. I would definitely recommend her to ANYONE selling their home in Charlotte.

Kim staged or first home. Her recommendations really made our house stand out in a very competitive real estate market. Kim knew exactly what buyers were looking for. The home sold quickly and very close to asking price! We liked working with Kim so much, that when we bought a new home that needed updating, we immediately thought of Kim and asked her help with decorating our new home. The new home needed updates including painting, refinishing hardwood floors and landscape remodeling. We also wanted to update some built-ins and put in a stacked stone fireplace. We were in temporary housing at the time and needed to have the updates done as quickly as possible, as each day was additional rent out of pocket. I contacted Kim and she helped me choose initial paint colors and had contractors lined up to provide quotes and start work on the day we closed! Site unseen! The contractors she lined up did an outstanding job, were extremely professional and reasonably priced. Kim saved us tons of money in rent so that I would not have to interview contractors. We work full time so Kim also supervised the work. Additionally, Kim helped us with updating all the hardware in the home, replacing light fixtures, stair balusters, installing a stacked stone fireplace and recommending an excellent landscaper designer. She negotiated the best prices and ensured the work was done to our specifications. The home looks brand new! Once we moved in, she helped with furniture placement and accessorizing the main living areas of the home including furnishings and window treatments. Kim has a fabulous sense of style and really gave our home the ?wow factor?. Kim is fun and professional to work with and I intend to hire her to help with other rooms in our home.
