They were excellent. They really know their customer service. For any woman living by herself this is the company you should go with.

Their prices were QUADRUPLE yes, QUADRUPLE other quotes we received! We are getting pricing for whole house laminates. The other quotes we have received have been in the $4-$8K ballpark Empire quoted us almost $29K :shock: So after the bout of laughter from DH and I, and the call to his manager, they gave us all their "discounts" and dropped it down to $19K (still 10K over everyone else), I told the sales guy he still needs to knock $10K off the price, I'm placing a pretty big order. Maybe he should call his manager back, and if need be I will talk with him. He got his manager on the phone and the guy was a complete jerk! He's obviously thinking he's still up north (I'm a Yankee too), and hasn't figured out how to stop being an argumentative bully. So, I just handed the phone back to the salesman during the managers mid-rant and said to the salesman "I'm sorry your manager killed that deal for you."

After the floor was installed, I noticed many small chips where the laminate tiles came together. They attempted to fix the chips with silicone, which was unsatisfactory. After MUCH complaining, they came out and replaced about 1/3 of the tiles. The number of chips was less, but there were still some. And in the new floor was a gouge, and the laminate tiles were not completely joined in one place. My husband had to get a tool at Home Depot just to join the laminate tiles.

Overall, we had a poor experience with our Empire Carpet installation. While the product was good, the team that installed our carpet did significant damage to our home. More specifically, they damaged our paint job in multiple rooms and damaged our bedroom furniture. There was a lack of respect for our personal property by the installation team. The company was willing (after some push back on our part) to reimburse us for the damages they caused.

They arrived when they said they would. Very polite. Had a problem with the carpet but Empire Today took care of it right away and I am very happy with the overall experience. I would highly recomend this company. Customer service was Excellent!

From the start, this experience was outstanding. The website allowed me to provide information on my needs. A scheduler called the next morning to set up an appointment with a salesperson. The salesperson was very professional. He was on time, had the materials he needed, and was eager to assist in any way he could. The salesperson measured the rooms while we reviewed the carpet selections. We scheduled installation two days after the initial visit (as that fit our schedule best). The company called to confirm the appointment the day before. The installation team arrived promptly and got to work immediately. They did an outstanding and speedy job in removing the old carpets and installing the new ones. They vacuumed upon completion. This was a well run operation and one I would consider using again or recommending to a friend/colleague/neighbor.

Empire came to our home on 6/12 to give estimate. They worked with us to give us what we were looking for at a price we were happy with. The floor was installed the next day 6/13. The crew of installers were great: Efficient, clean, friendly and informative. The floor has a 25 year warranty. Great job!
