I had rescheduled an earlier missed appointment with Leon on Monday 10/25 for a Friday 10/29 appointment at my house. Confirmed my name, address, phone number, and the scope of the work to be performed. I took Friday 10/29 off from work and waited two hours after the appointment time for EMF to show up. No show, no call. I called Leon and talked to him. He explained that they would not be coming to the house for the appointment that day as "he didn't write it down". He offered to come another time but I declined. I had used EMF twice before with good results but won't be calling or using their services ever again.

It went better than was expected by a long shot. I called Leon (after never having used him and simply off of Angie's List recommendations). He had a busy schedule but fit us in between appointments because of how upset I was. He figured the problem out within 5 minutes. He carefully explained everything to us and replaced everything. Then, he charged us a reasonable hourly fee, despite it being an "emergency." I lost no food because of the outage, and the in-law visit went on without a hitch. I would recommend him without hesitation.

The installation was very professional and quick. EMF Electric, Leon Shanklin, removed the replaced ceiling fan. I had already procured the Hunter Ceiling Fan and Hunter Remote Control from the nearby Home Depot.

There were many problems that came up along the way. They eventually modified the lights so they were functioning but not in the way they originally told me they would. I gave them a grade as high as a "C" because they did in fact come back to try to fix lights on several occasions and after a month and a half eventually got them functioning. I did feel like we were put on the back burner since they tended to other jobs before straightening out our situation. I absolutely DO NOT recommend this company for high-end property. Also, do not pay for job until you test their work completely (in our case we should have tested the lights at night).

Appointment was scheduled. they called the day beforen to confirm. Arrived on time, completed jobs in stated period of time, no suprises at invoice.

After explaining the problem, he told me over the phone what I needed to do. He also told me to contact the energy dept. because it sounded like a problem from their end. He stated that they would be more than willing to come out tomorrow if the problem was not solved.

They came back out and repaired a few items that I had been putting off. I was ecstatic! The price was reasonable as well.

They were a no call/no show and I had taken the day off to be there for the appointment. I called them and I spoke with Leon. He said he would get back in touch but he never did.

He diagnosed the problem immediately and returned the next day to repair it. He did it quickly and I will give the straight A's.

I wanted to add an additional washer and dryer to my existing laundry room, and Leon worked with me to figure out how to do it. Leon and his team were professional and did what they said they would do when they said they would do it. Thanks, Leon.

My husband contacted Leon of EMF Electric to replace a light fixture over our kitchen table. Leon made the appointment for the following morning. He arrived promptly and completed the task quickly. He was very neat in his work and very pleasant to have in our home.

We were happy with all aspects of their work. Estimate was reasonable and fairly accurate. (Angie's list discount made it under estimate). Consultation was good and expectations clear-what they would supply, what we needed to have. All work looks very professional. Workers were very polite and very flexible. They moved a heating/ac vent to make lighting look better. Suggesting a smaller microwave before installing it was really helpful--the first microwave we bought would have stuck out too far. They adapted as I ran to the warehouse to get a shorter fan rod. Communication throughout process was appreciated and demonstrated they wanted to satisfy. Clean up was good. Absolutely no complaints, will definitely use again if necessary.

I work at Midas Fabrics, a retail store that sells fabrics and we lost a row of lights in our showroom. Lighting is important in order to see the colors clearly. I called EMF Electric that morning and they understood our need and sent someone over within 1 day. They determined the panel box had a bad breaker and changed it out. Additionally we had a bad ballast in another area of the store which they were able to fix that day.

Leon and his crew were punctual, efficient, and knowledgeable. Their communication was flawless and the work turned out beautifully.

I emailed EMF on Christmas Day that our oven had gone out and that the manual stated to contact an electrician. I did not expect to hear back on Christmas Day, but did receive an email that day. Erik apologized that he was out of town but had Leon contact me the next morning. Leon and Mike came right out and diagnosed the problem with our hallway light and with our oven. They referred me to an appliance repairman for the oven as it was not an electrical problem. They repaired the hall light. They were extremely professional and could not have been more accommodating. I highly recommend EMF and will definitely call on them in the future.

Leon from EMF was great to work with and was extremly responsive. Any time we gave him a call he was always easy to reach with any questions that we had. When he came out to do the estimate, he was very friendly and gave us some additional suggestions that we hadn't even thought of that would make the final outcome that much better. Leon and a co-worker came out to do the work, and they were both on time and worked diligently. They were a pleasure to work with, and you really got a sense that they enjoyed what they were doing and took pride in the final product. We would love to use them again for any future projects.

EMF was on time for appointment to review situation and also to perform work. Leon was extremely patient in explanation of work needed and why. I had to schedule the work two weeks out due to my work restrictions. They helped me find a temporary solution until I could be here to have them perform the work. I would definitely use them again.

I've got a pretty sophisticated lighting system with lots of bells and whistles that was designed by an architect. It was installed about 4 years ago by another electrician. It developed some kinks that were creating a lot of problems - a tripped circuit breaker, a wall of plug-ins out, etc. Leon came out, heard me out, explored the problem and sent a team of two electricians out shortly who diligently worked to unravel and fix the problem. Then, through a mistake of my own, a part of the problem resurfaced, Leon came out again, walked me through it and it was fixed - NO CHARGE. Leon and crew are great! BTW, Leon also had to come out about a year ago to troubleshoot another problem in this lighting system and even worked on a Saturday to get it fixed.

Everything went great! Leon was easy to get a hold of and arrived on time when he came to the house on the agreed upon date. Leon assessed all the work that needed to be done, provided some good advice, gave me a really good quote, and performed the work in less than two hours. Leon is a good guy, he was very courteous and professional and did a great job. As the customer, this is the feeling you want to have after hiring a contractor; the job was done right, at a great value. Thanks to Leon.

Leon Shanklin was very professional and prompt with his service. He had a friendly attitude and took the time to explain the problem I was having and was generous with his time to answer my questions. I highly recommend him and his company.

He was able to come out the next day, arrived on-time, and completed the work with minimal destruction to wall - and all at a reasonable price.

Mike and his partner did a great job to install electric in my new patio room. They had to go under the deck to complete the job but that was no problem for them. They installed a new circuit breaker to remove the concerns of a fire. Everything went well and I am happy.

Great! I will hire EMF Electrical again for future jobs in my home.

Went very well. Contractor had to fix short in wiring of motor on one fan and had to be extra careful in mounting motor hub onto fixed lights on another fan. Installation was completed with no problems despite difficulties with fans. Contractor worked steadily end efficiently throughout his time here, yet was able to maintain pleasant conversation. Job took longer than anticipated because three fans had to be remounted after my wife and I changed our minds about how low we wanted them. Contractor was the epitome of politeness, pleasantness and professionalism even though we likely threw off his schedule, and stuck to his original estimate despite the extra time. We would hire him again without hesitation.

Overall the job went very well. We could not be happier with their work. Leon is a very good person to work with. Very professional and courteous. In addition, his crew is very professional and pleasant. They are punctual, do what they say they are going to do, and always clean up after themselves. One of his crew members, Eric came out several times during the job and always made sure we were satisfied with the work they did before they left. Leon told me before he started the job that we would be happy when they were done and he was right.
