EMF ELECTRIC INC

I needed an estimate for general residential electrical work, about $1,000. 8/22 Called both EMF Electric (Leon Shanklin) phone numbers as provided by Angie's List. I left no messages, both mailboxes were full. A couple of hours later Leon called back (caller ID I guess). He said he would stop over on 8/23 after his continuing education class, around 4:30pm . 8/23 I waited. Leon never showed, never called. That evening I called and spoke to him. He said he would call me on 8/26 during the day and let me know what time he would stop out. He expected to stop out around 4:30pm but would call. 8/26 I waited. Leon never showed, never called. I called that evening and left a message. 8/27 Called Leon again and left a 2nd message. 9/03 Called Leon again and left a 3rd message. 9/04 Called Leon again and actually spoke with him. He said he just sat down at the dentist's office and would call me when he got out. I told him I was an Angie's List member and was obligated to share my experience with the other members. I asked what I was supposed to say in my review. Leon replied, "I've got so many good rating, yours won't make a difference. Say whatever you want." I responded, "If that's your attitude to your customers......" At this point I think Leon realized what he had said. No, I would no hire him. I

They were punctual, professional, friendly, knowledgeable and very quick. We will definitely use them again in the future!!

They were kind and courteous and went the extra mile. Very reasonably priced. They cleaned up after themselves.

Leon arrived promptly and just when he told me he would. He was very careful about keeping my house clean and did a great job. This is my second time using EMF, and if I have anything else I need in the future, they'll be the ones I call.

Leon came out to check on my range which was not getting 220 power. He quickly determined the problem was in my old breaker box. He was able to manipulate the breaker so it could get power again. He was very professional and upfront about the service. Did not try and upsell me on a big repair and just charged for service call.

Within hours after the call, the owner Leon was there to fix the outlet. Was very impressed with how quick they were there, as well as the price charged. I will use them in the future for electrical problems.

We have had them back a number of times. They spent a lot of time to make sure to get the right angle for the sensors. I even had them center an outlet on my bathroom wall and having them replace some undercounter lights. They are very professional and polite

I called Leon for an estimate and explained my situation. He was extremely accommodating and much to my surprise was able to come over today. Another company I had called told me it would be a week. Leon arrived right on time and found why the dead outlets were not working. He was extremely professional and polite. While he was here he quoted me on some other electrical installations I wanted to have done. I look forward to having Leon come back to do the work. I highly recommend his services and he will get all of my business in the future.

Leon was incredibly friendly, polite and knowledgeable. He carefully traced the issues back to an improper installation performed by the builder. Then checked additional connections to determine if any other issues existed. I would definitely recommend EMF and will call them if i need any electrical help in the future.

As usual, fabulous. Leon and his crew went out of their way to accommodate me, a repeat customer. My mother doesn't live in his service area, but he took the time to go see what needed to be done, then scheduled a two day job with her. Leon is very thorough, caring and attentive. Could not have asked for a better experience!

Fabulous! When my plumber came to install my dishwasher, he noticed the electric was not set up correctly and would not reach the inlet for the dishwasher. He mentioned that an electrician was needed to make this a safe installation. I found EMF on Angie's List and called them at 3 pm on a Friday asking if I could possibly have someone come by the end of the day. Bobby was at my house within 40 minutes and was extremely professional. He finished his work within a half hour. By him coming right away I was able to get the dishwasher installed by the end of the night. The job was $100, but the work was very nice and clean. I would definitely have them again; I am always will to pay a little extra for convenience of same day service when something needs to get done on a day off of work. Thanks EMF!

The first day that they came they said that they could probably get it done in a day and it took four months. They showed up whenever they wanted without calling first and they kept raising the price on me. They stayed for an hour or so and then wondered off. They delivered used materials instead of new materials and it was absolutely a disaster. They tried to make up the delays with me by getting me a bigger generator which they did not. They gave me a five year old generator instead of a new one and I ended up having to raise hell in order to get them to replace it. They would come to collect the payments and I told them that they were not going to get anything until they replaced the generator with the new one. It kept going on and on.

Called and spoke to Leon at 9:00 AM and explained my issue. Arranged to have one of hs team swing by at 2:00 that same day. Bobby called at 1:45 and indicated that a job they were working on was running a bit long and that he would be late for our appointment. Called again at 2:30 to let me know he was on the way. Bobby was very personal/professionaln and did an outstanding job explaining not only what he was doing but also what was the core cause of the problem as well.Ina and out in less than an hour with all issues resolved. Good experience.

Very well. Bobbie arrived right on time, did not mind the dog at all and got right to work. We walked through the house as I explained what my desired result was. Bobbie was very helpful with suggestions of the best way to proceed. Not trying to sell up, just explaining the most efficient approach. All is exactly as I wanted. We have used EMF before and certainly will again.

The guys came out and installed the outlets just like I wanted. Good quality materials and great workmanship. I'd definitely use them again!

EMF owner is a friendly man, but leaves a lo be desired when it comes to scheduling and following up.

This is the second time I have used Leon in thlasers 12 months . Both experiences were top notch- he does what he says he will do when he says he will do it which is almost unheard of these days. Fixes it right the first time at a fair price. Very professional and a pleasure to deal with.

Purchased a hood for our oven and my husband decided he did not wish to install it but would rather pay a professional. I sent a message through Angie's List to Leon and told him that in addition to the oven hood we had some other things that I wanted to discuss with him before we did anything. Leon was very punctual and professional, called ahead of time and showed up early. Took the time to answer all my questions and was quite knowledgeable. He is licensed and insured, which is extremely important to me.

I called EMF after consulting Angies List. He said he would call me back within the hour & he did. He told me he would be over within 45 minutes & he was. I explained my problem & he told me what he was going to do to fix it. He was polite, professional & a really great guy. He completed his work, cleaned up everything & his price was very very fair. Leon is my electrician for as long as I live in the area & for as long as he is in business. I will recommend him highly.
