Description of Work: Various electronic outlets and driveway motion lighting installation and diagnostic check was performed. Electrician charges by the hour, was not aware of this. He had to return back 2x because first installation was not successful, but overall the service was good. One of my outlets still has a shortage.

Description of Work: Install lighting and fan.

Description of Work: I called Leon at 5.15pm. He answered the call and helped me trouble shoot the problem with two GFCI (circuit breaker in the outlet) which ended up connected to two refigerators in the garage (love the original builder :-)). Electical power back on and Leon told me what was needed - an independent circuit for the refrigerators. We will schedule that work soon. He was all about helping me and educating me. Great person.

Description of Work: Installed a chandelier. Hanging the chandelier was pretty simple but the crystals needed to be inserted into the frame with needle nose pliers. The design was terrible. Many electricians would have said that it's not their job to assemble the chandelier, just to install it. But they assembled the chandelier even though it was very tedious, difficult work. They even fashioned a hook out of a paper clip when one broke. There were no extras.

Description of Work: Needed the range outlet checked. Said it would be 125.00 to replace outlet form three prong to four prong. Found out the range already had four prong setup and the outlet checked out fine, but charged me 100.00 just to tell me the outlet was ok.

Description of Work: I scheduled an appointment with Leon Hanklin for Friday, June 26, 2009. I confirmed 3 days prior for a 9:00 a.m. time. Things seemed to be fine. Leon asked for a fax of what work I needed done. We faxed the list 2 days prior to our appointment. I waited til 10:30 a.m. on June 26, 2009. When nobodyshowed up, I called Leon at 10:30 a.m.. THIS IS THE UNBELIEVABLE PART. Leon saidhe could not make it. He did not apologize or even act like he cared. This is completely unacceptable.Should contractors start reimbursing customers for noshows?

Description of Work: I have used EMF Electric once before with tremendous results. Therefore, when my wife mentioned to me last night that the garbage disposal was not working, they were the first company I thought of. I checked everything from the reset button to the electrical breaker, without any results. I called EMF Monday morning, 10/20/08, and left a voice mail. Mike (electrician), whom I got a business card from on the original visit, called me right back. He told me it would be Thursday, 10/23/08, before he could come out, which was fine with us. He called about an hour later and said he had a change in his work schedule and could come in an hour and a half, which was fantastic. He and his co-worker showed up on time and were very professional. He tested the garbage disposal and then took it apart to determine that the problem was a beer bottle top had gone down the drain, by accident. That was the entire problem. As soon as Mike removed the bottle top, the garbage disposal started working again. They were in and out in less than 15 minutes. On top of that, they did not charge us anything. It's difficult, during these hard times, to find a company that is responsive to the customers needs while being fair when it comes to cost. I would recommend EMF Electric to anyone with electrical needs and will never consider anyone else in the future. Their integrity and professionalism is unmatched. Thanks to Angie's List for the service you provide. I would have never had a relationship with EMF Electric without you.

Description of Work: Heat pump added to upstairs new duct work.

Description of Work: They did work on some electrical outlets at my mothers house.

Description of Work: Mike came out to give me an estimate for putting in 21 can ceiling lights and a dedicated treadmill circuit. I did not go with EMF in the end but Mike was prompt in coming out to give me an estimate, courteous and knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to call EMF again for quotes.

Description of Work: EMF ran all the electrical wiring to my brand new sun porch.

Description of Work: Installed two baseboard heaters, added two separate lines and circuit breaker to my panel. Leon had to go under the house to complete the job.

Description of Work: We actually had a huge renovation at our home. As a result of putting on two new additions, we had hired this company to do rewiring basically throughout the entirety of our home. The additions may have added about seven hundred square feet onto the home in total. This company just had to basically extend the wires so that our electricity was functional in the new rooms.

Description of Work: We had put on a two hundred and sixty square foot sunroom addition to our beautiful home, we then needed to have electrical to that room and that is exactly what this electric company did for us.

Description of Work: INSTALLED TWO CEILING FANS AND ADDED TWO NEW LINES WITH SEPARATE CKT BREAKERS. LEON HAD TO GO UNDER HOUSE TO ACCOMPLISH THIS.
