The initial visit went well. The service tech (Neil) called in advance about 30 mins. After checking on the problem (door would not open), he indicated the existing door was not worthy of repair. A new door was agreed on and also a future install date. The 2nd visit was also prompt. From start to finish took approx. 2 hours. After installing door, Neil checked my opener and found several items that were in need of repair. Not trying to sell a new opener, he advised me, that he could recondition my opener and also save me several hundred dollars. But also, advised me, that a new opener was not that too distant in the future. Neil cleaned up his entire work area and also cleaned the outside of the new door. Excellent service given!

I called on Friday, my phone call was answered right away. They were able to come out later that afternoon. Frank was very knowledgeable, and extremely informative. He was able to fix our broken spring on the double door, he then informed of us that both of our doors did not have the proper hardware installed to make them safe and run efficiently. He added new hardware, adjusted both doors, and put the sensors in the correct location. The company prior to Elite had installed many parts incorrectly. Frank explained what was wrong and we agreed to have him fix everything. Our doors have never sounded so quiet and they open and close so smoothly. He was professional and courteous. We will call on Elite for any garage door issue we have and also recommend them to others.

This company was a little more expensive, but I was willing to spend the money since it was an American-made product and it came with a warrenty. Before the job was done they actually showed me the product, whereas other companies did not. This company was very willing to work with me and offered opinions when I asked. It was a very personal experience and not cold at all.

I had a door to fail at 11:30 AM Looked on Angies List and saw Elite Garage Doors with an A rating Called adn Frank picked up the call and was at my house in less than an hour Most of my problem was because of faulty work in the past Frank diagnosed the problem areas and had everythign he needed to fix it on his truck He was informative in his explanation and efficient in his work Completed all of his work in les than 2 ours and cleaned the area before he left Great experience

It's Saturday night and I have both cars in the garage... but the spring just broke and the 225 pound door is not going to lift. I have an event that I MUST be at tomorrow.To the rescue came Neil from Elite Garage door. Within the hour after I hung up with him, at 6PM, he was at my house and ready to get started.Within 2 hours my door was operating way better than it ever did before. His enthusiasm for his work is inspiring. And he is GOOD at it. He makes it look easy but I know that if I was foolish enough to attempt this work it would have been trouble.He took the time to lube every moving part of the door, including the opener, showed me how to do my own preventative maintenance on the door, and even dialed in the automatic opener.There was a $90 "emergency" adder to the bill but it was well worth every penny. Now tomorrow I'll be able to come and go as I please knowing that my door is in tip top condition. My wife and I were very happy with the experience from start to finish and highly recommend this company.

The 1st house was pretty straight forward, however, the second house the garage door and tracks needed some alignment. Elite's service technician, Neil, did a great job of installing the openers and adjusted the doors and track at no extra charge. As it happens I had an issue where one of the cables on the door slipped a couple weeks later. I called them up and asked they to please come back and take a look to make it work again. Technically speaking, the service was provided at no charge the first time around so was expecting to pay for the service. Frank called me and told me they would not charge me for the fix. I would recommend this company to anyone wanting quality, honest and reliable work.

Overall, they were great. They were really nice and really helpful. He also gave me information on how to maintain it for the future.

I contacted Frank via phone. I was able to email him photos of the damage (unfortunate event) that evening after work for an estimate. Frank called the next morning, discussed the damage, gave me an estimate, and we scheduled the repair time. Neil, who did the repair, called ahead of the scheduled time to let me know he was on the way. Neil was extremely professional, polite, and knowledgeable. Great representative for the company! I will definitely use this company again for any needed repairs and when the time comes to install an upgraded garage door.

Neil came out the same day we called to fix our broken garage door. After fixing the door he adjusted the springs, adjusted the garage door opener, and then replaced the rollers. Garage door now opens and closes smoother and quieter than it ever has (even when new). Very impressed with speed of response and quality of work and definitely recommend them.

I was very impressed with this company. Working with Frank, the owner, could not have gone better. He was prompt, professional, helpful and courteous throughout the estimate process. I explained what I wanted done and he did a great job helping me with making a choice on door color, insulation, window design, etc., as well as answering all of my questions. I placed the order the next day with installation to follow two days after that. The installer, Neil, was professional and well organized. He was friendly and took his time to do a detailed installation. He cleaned the area following installation, and went over the new system in detail and explained all the safety issues. Everything was completed on schedule. I can't think of a single thing that Elite Garage Doors could have done better. I highly recommend them! Thanks Frank! I will definitely use Elite again. I wish other service providers delivered in the manner that Elite does.

Our garage door was shot and in desperate need of replacement. To compound matters, our opener went out as well. I called Elite and spoke with Frank. Since he had just finished up a job, he was able to come directly to my house for an estimate. Frank arrived in 30 minutes and was professionally dressed. Frank spent close to 30 minutes looking at our situation and talking with us about our options. I found him to be knowledgeable and well spoken. He worked up our estimate and it came in under the other 2 estimates I had gotten. I called that night to tell him we would go with him. I made the call on Thursday and Elite was here the next Tuesday to install. The job was done by one man (Frank's assistant) Neil, in just 3 hours. After Installation, Neil spent close to 20 minutes walking my wife through all of the features of our new door and opener. She said it was quite thorough. I was VERY happy with the work and timing and price of this transaction.

He showed up promptly on the day we setup and removed the new door and opener after removing the old door and opener. Once he was done, he walked me through the door and opener usage and gave me his number to call with any questions. Very good service!

I was able to email photos of the broken mechanism, to better receive an estimate. Neal provided estimate and arrived as promised within a 2hr window the same day (1pm to 3pm and arrived approx. 2pm). Neal was very personable and seemed to know what he was doing. Post repair, door operation was tuned and preventative maintenance (lubrication, basically) performed with instructions. Estimate was $150 to $200 and actually was $253 and with a $20 Angie's List coupon making it $233. I was slightly disappointed with the estimate being exceeded. I was told credit cards are accepted, but upon completion was informed that American Express is not. With the exception of the estimate overrun and not all credit cards accepted, I was satisfied with the repair.

Called Elite Garage Door Service on Thursday morning because garage door spring/cable snapped on existing builder-grade garage door. Elite stated they could make it out to my house that afternoon to fix, which was optimal b/c garage door was inoperable at that point! Neil arrived to our house at expected time, assessed situation, and advised me of issues/cost before any work was completed. He also mentioned it would greatly benefit the stability of my garage door to add a steel re-enforcement bar at top of door for added wear/tear protection for a small additional fee. He completed the work rather quickly, and taught me the proper way & products to use on track and door hinges. Neil got our garage door performing better (as far as alignment and noise) than it ever has since we moved in to our house over 5 years ago! I will definitely use their services again and would recommend Elite Garage Door Service to anyone in greater Charlotte!

I called Frank at Elite at 8am on 5/16/11--he came and gave me an estimate that afternoon. No high pressure sales, just a fair explanation of the options. Frank even offered to fix the old door, rather than replace it. After meeting with a couple of other contractors for estimates, I felt that Frank offered a very honest price for the material and work, and called him and was scheduled for a replacement door the next day. Neil, Elite's technician, arrived right on time and was pleasant, extremely competent, and helpful. Even though my house had settled oddly, Neil spent extra time making sure that all the seals were perfect, that the opener was adjusted, and that all the limits and forces were just so. This is a well run and honest company, and I would recommend them without hesitation.

AWESOME experience! I called on a Wed to set an appt for an est. to replace our garage door that had literally started falling apart (it was not repairable). Frank was great and worked with my crazy schedule to get a technician out the next day (Thurs) to look at it. Neil called me about an hour before he was scheduled to arrive and asked if he could come early, which worked great for me. He was very thorough in showing me my options, explaining the differences and what was included in the price. There was no pressure, no upselling, and he gave me his personal cell number to give to my husband in case he had questions (since he wasn't there for the appt and I knew he'd have questions). Friday we made our choice and Saturday Neil returned on-time, and installed the new upgraded door and all associated components (track, spring, etc-- it was all included with the price of the door). He was courteous, pleasant, knowledgeable and had the whole thing done on time. The door is installed much better than the original one (tighter seal, etc) and the quality of both the install and the product are excellent. I've already told friends about them and will call again if I ever need door replacement or service. Elite Garage Doors is great!

From Frank's prior visit to estimate needs and costs to final installation by Neil, everything was done in a very professional manner.

Neil called ahead before arriving and quickly determined the problem. He gave us several repair options including replacing the bent door panel and the non-working opener as well as complete replacement of both doors and openers. We have an uninsulated garage and were replacing uninsulated metal garage doors. Neil didn't try and upsell us to insulated doors. In fact he discouraged it saying we'd simply be wasting our money. The original openers were screw drives and he recommended a chain drive model. I asked about a belt drive model and again he discouraged this due to the additional cost and the fact that as the garage is separated from our house, we didn't need the quiet operation of the belt drive model. Neil freely offered us a package discount in addition to our Angie's List discount and it was a no brainer to go with the complete change out. Neil worked quickly and efficiently and was very friendly during the entire installation and tookl his time going over the features and routine maintenance of the system once it was installed. We're definitely satisfied with the price, quality and service of Elite Garage Door Service and would highly recommend them to anyone.

I liked them a lot. I absolutely loved them. They were very professional. The man that came not only serviced the door but also walked me through further maintenance. He also told me about the other door that he was not fixing. He told me what to do to maintain my garage door. He had to replace a part as well. I would rate them high and highly recommend them.

Neil did a great job installing the door and explaining the required maintenance. He explained that I likely needed a larger rubber gasket, which he did not have, to completely seal the door at the bottom, due to an uneven floor. I am still waiting on a resolution to my problem. After about two weeks I called Frank and asked about getting the gasket replacement, and we agreed to wait for some warmer weather. I am confident, based on my experience with the company, that the problem will be fixed.

We had a good experience with them and don't remember having any issues.

I thought he did a great job at checking the entire garage door system for us for safety. He did some cleaning and oiling that was above and beyond the services we had asked for. I felt much better about my garage door after he left. He was not able to come the first time we scheduled the appointment but came after we rescheduled.
