We were originally with Whittmans lawn service for years with no problems. Whittmans sold their service to Eco Green and Jason with Whittmans continued to manage the lawn service. From Day one with Eco Green we had problems; the person performing the service did not know how to edge (did not leave edge space between beds and lawn) and in some areas of the yard did not perform edging. The next week I talked with the person performing the services and provide clear instructions about the areas that needed edging (all the areas that the previous service had done without any instruction from me) as well as how I wanted the edging. Even that day he still did not do all of the areas that i requested. With each subsequent visit I continued to have challenges and had to provide ongoing instructions. In many cases I asked him to pull the edger off the truck and pick up the places he had missed. I finally called the owner and shared my concerns about the service as well as the fact that the cost had increased from $195 to $210 per month. When I talked with the owner he indicated that he had nothing to do with the lawn service side and referred me to Jason whom had been my service provider with Whittman. Jason assured me that he would speak with the staff and make sure that they understood the expectation. Time went by and unfortunately nothing improved. Finally in mid June I noticed that instead of one person performing the service there was a team of 4-5. I was watching a man in the back yard that I was not familiar with as he used the edger to cut back a few weeds in a flower bed and asked him to only do edging and nothing in the beds. I took him to another bed and showed him the area to be edged and went back inside. When I looked out again he was using the edger in my flower bed that was actively blooming and cut down my perennials. I stopped him and approached the person that had been doing my yard work since the beginning and he apologized and indicated that the other gentleman was new. I asked if he had experience and he said "no he is in training". The site supervisor that I had never met later approached me and apologized and indicated that they would "make it right". A few hours later I received an email indicating that they were cancelling our service.

I needed to create some privacy for my pool area and contracted with EcoGreen to design and install a mulch bed with plants. I had previously used Paul's services on my lawn and he did great, so I pretty much let him have free reign to work within my budget. On the day we had scheduled for the work to be done, I left for work and all was quiet. I came home that evening and the project was complete. It looked awesome and we are glad we trusted Paul to take care of our work. There was no mess, no fuss. Paul gave my wife instructions on how to care for the plants and 2 months later, they are all doing very well. EcoGreen Landscaping is an awesome company. Thank you, Paul!

Paul came by to give us a quote and made a plan to fit our budget. In September he killed off all of the weeds and spread compost on areas. He did all sorts of prep work and then aerated and seeded. I wasn't interested in any of the details, so I'm not sure of everything that went into this project. I don't have irrigation, so the only part that was up to me was to water with sprinklers. The cool part is that Paul made it so easy. He seemed to come by a couple of times a week and he gave us updates via email (our preference for communication). He would tell us to water more in area A, water less in area B, etc. He came by and overseeded a couple of areas on more than one occasion. The lawn came in AWESOME. As neighbors walk by, they thank us for transforming the "foreclosure house." As joggers run by, they yell "great grass"! It must sound like I'm making this stuff up, but it's all true. I'll continue to use Paul's services throughout the year to help keep my lawn looking healthy. In fact, In November, I had him do another project that I will report on separately. Thank you Paul.
