Shane Halpin arrived promptly and fixed both doors. Upon finishing, we discovered the threshold issue which Shane also fixed. Shane also fixed a large gap that was under the door which was a large air leak. Shane was prompt, professional, and effective. Very happy with the service and would recommend it.

Shane contacted me shortly after I bought the Big Deal and we were able to schedule an appointment. Shane arrived on time and was able to adjust the door hinges and add weather stripping that was needed. He also fixed another door that he noticed needed some work. Shane was pleasant to work with and worked hard to get the job done. I have already had some other work done by Shane and have a list of things I will have him do in the future.

Excellent service. Mr. Halpin arrived on time, explained what needed to be done, and completed a very satisfactory job within the appointed time.

This service was based on an Angie's List Big Deal special. Shane showed up on time. I don't remember exactly what it was that he forgot to bring with him, or something that he needed, but he had to leave and go to the hardware store after he arrived. The hardware store was very close, so he wasn't gone very long. He replaced the caulking around the bathtub, which was what I had requested. He noticed that the existing caulking at the base of the toilet was messy, so he offered to clean that up while he was there. This is the first time I had used an Angie's List-recommended service, and I was happy with how it all worked out.

He was prompt, professional and friendly. I had several doors that had air gaps and/or were not closing properly. The house is about 40 yrs old so the doors still aren't perfect, but I think he got them fixed and working as well as he could.

Shane Houseman of Eager Beaver Handyman Service came to do the three hours door service for $99. It was fantastic. He is a terrific guy. He put all-weather stripping on the front and back doors. There were five doors that were having trouble latching or sticking. So he fixed that. He was friendly and it was easy to schedule a time for him to come. He was prompt. He took notes about all of the issues and then told me what additional supplies he would need. He went and got those supplies and came back and fixed all those doors in less than 2 hours. The supplies were not expensive and what he said they would be. I paid an extra $39 to get the weather stripping for the two doors and some screws. But then I didn't expect parts to be included.

Never made appointments. The first time he called and said he would be twenty minutes late, so my husband and I made another appointment for the following day. When he was late for the second appointment we called him and was told he was on his way. Beaver did not show or call back to let us know what was going on. When we finally contacted him we was told he was in the middle of another job and could not leave until the job was finished. We did not have any problem with this, because we would expect the same from him. What we did have a problem with was he failed to inform us of this from the start. We would have waited and reschedule at a more suitable time.

Overall, my experience working with Shane was excellent. He responded to my call within the day and set up a time for a consultation. Shane arrived promptly for our initial visit and explained how he would accomplish each task. I immediately recognized Shane's level of professionalism and knew I wanted him to complete the necessary tasks. He completed the work in a timely and highly satisfactory manner and his fee was more than reasonable. I will definitely use Shane for future needs and will not hesitate to recommend him to friends and associates.

Shane was on time. He was personable and knowledgeable. He recommended using a clear caulk instead of the white and both rooms look beautiful.

Someone ran over my mailbox so I needed to have it replaced. I called Shane on Saturday afternoon. He was very accommodating and was able to get me in that Monday at 8am. He arrived 10min early and had a very pleasant demeanor. As a single female living alone, I felt very comfortable having him do the work at my house. He cleaned up behind himself and completed the dig, install, and cleanup in about 45 minutes. The end result looks wonderful! Phone quote was for $50 and that's what I ended up paying (I provided the new mailbox & cement). I will definitely call Shane again for future handyman needs and would highly recommend him!

Shane arrived exactly on time and completed all the tasks in two hours. He was very professional and offered several suggestions related to the tasks which were great ideas which I really appreciated. I plan to use Shane's garage cleaning services next month and will absolutely call him for any other handyman tasks I have in the future. It's so refreshing to find someone who cares about customer service. Great service for reasonable prices.

I attempted to install my own ceiling fan and when I did, the electrical in other rooms failed. Also, the drywall around the hole for the previous fan chipped away to create a large hole in the ceiling. Shane was polite, courteous and timely. He offered options to fit within my budget and was able to fix the ceiling, electrical and install the fan within a few hours. I was very pleased with the service and will certainly hire him again.

Long story short: He broke the brand new door, totally damaged the original excellent conditioning door frames; he told us to return the correct attic ladder we already brought and he installed the one which does not fit (after installation, the celling opening even cannot be closed), stepped on the door frame and the frame is loose and need to be fix. Last but not least, he left his footprints all over the wall. One picture is worth a thousand words. January 4, 2013: Shane wrote ?I agree with everything you have presented? and ?I feel that was clearly not practiced enough to do a perfect job for you. I will promptly refund the $160 and put it in the mail tomorrow. I will contact my insurance company and present the document you put together. I researched the proper way to do the door installation but I clearly fell short of perfect.? Also, he said ?I will keep in touch often until this situation is COMPLETELY RESOLVED to your satisfaction. I offer my sincere apology for going forward with repairs I was clearly not ready to do on a professional level.? ?All I ask is that you don't leave a poor review on Angieslist.? Jan 6, 2013: Shane only want to refund us $45 and just to hire someone to ?fix? the broken door (like glue the broken grass). He also wrote ?I am perfectly capable of finishing the door install to a high standard?, ?I made good progress on the first day of installation?, ?(you) take a really aggressive and disrespectful approach?, and ?(you just want to) gotten the door installed completely free of charge!? We are really angry about his cheating and the inconsistence of his words. We don?t other customers recommit the same error we made. Hence, we posted the review on the angieslist. Results: We spend $160 to get our new house damaged and we had to spend another $1000 to fix the mess left from Shane!

Angie's Big Deal and well worth it! Very punctual and helpful...pleased with service.

This was a 2 hours of handyman work for $59 "The Big Deal". Shane the owner can early, got right to work once I gave him the list. He did go over the 2 hours, but was fair in the extra cost. He made sure everything was done to my satisfaction before he left. I would definitely use him again.

I called Shane to discuss the job. While in the definition/negotiation process, he always responded in a timely manner to email and phone communication. He came out to look at the work before setting a price. This way there were no surprises for either of us. He arrived promptly on the day scheduled and did a great job. He working continuously until all item on the 'to do' list were complete. He asked my opinion on things, provided options and really listened to what I wanted done. I will definitely hire Shane again!!

Outstanding! Shane showed up on time ready to start. Before starting he reviewed what was to be done, where he would start, and got the specific location from me for the hand rail. He worked constantly and even made adjustments as he went. Once complete he reviewed all work to insure I was satisfied. The couple of things I mentioned were immediately taken care of. I've already scheduled him for some work at my in-laws. We were very pleased with his work. This was our first use of Angie's List too - great way to start!

This is a followup to my previous review and I changed the Responsiveness to 'A'. Shane sent me two emails to apologize for not following up and we spoke on the phone. We had talked about a number of things as he was leaving and it slipped his mind that he was to fix the grout by by back kitchen door. He did remember that he was to contact me after the holidays. It was an honest mistake I think. I get the impression that he is very serious about maintaining a high rating and would not intentionally deliver poor service. I plan to use Shane and Eager Beaver Handyman in February to do some work in my garage.

Shane is great to work with! He is efficient, professional, punctual and very fair on price. His goal is clear: to ensure that the client is completely satisfied with his work and is happy with the cost. What impresses me most about Shane is that he is truly ethical and honest, which goes a long way when deciding which company to work with. In addition to the work he performed, Shane also recognized that we were new to this house and sensed that I was somewhat frustrated with some projects that I wanted to work on. He knew that I wanted to tackle some projects on my own and instead of ignoring that or quoting me what it would cost, he simply left behind some basic, but essential gear and taught me how to use it so I could get these jobs done. His intuition in this matter and acts of selflessness really impressed me and I have been able to get a lot more work done around the house thanks to Shane. I will only call Shane for my future service needs.

Overall it went very well. Shane set up an appointment for the installation. He purchased the necessary equipment (exactly what I asked for - White Moen safety bars) and installed them exactly where I wanted them. He did a great job and we are very pleased.

Shane (aka Shane the Caulker) was clean, quiet, quick, yet thorough, and was proactive in looking for other areas around our house that may need attention. I would hire him back for future work.

Shane was very professional. He reached out to me to schedule the work as soon as I purchased the BigDeal. I reached out to him ahead of time to find out what materials he needed to have on hand since the deal said it did not include materials and he said he'd have everything he needed. I figured I just mis-remembered the fine print, so was pleasantly surprised! When he arrived, he walked through the house and we agreed on what needed to be touched up. He asked me to check his work, which was great, before wrapping up. As he was leaving, however, he asked me to pay for his caulk and a tool he had to buy. Since I have a ton of caulk at home already, I had no need to pay for more. But he never asked me for my caulk or tools before starting the work. After a professional job, being blindsided with additional cost left a bad taste in my mouth.

Shane is a nice guy, but impatient and not a perfectionist about the appearance of his work.
