Eager Beaver Handyman Service

Punctual and professional. It was not a huge issue but just something I could not fix on my own. I particularly liked the usability of their services, emails/electronic invoices and confirmation when the worker arrives at the location. They make the process very easy and painless to schedule and pay. I will definitely use their services again in the future.

I called Shane on Saturday morning to schedule the service indicating it was a rush & he has someone out to complete the work that afternoon. Drywall looks great ... can't even tell a repair was done.

It was good, Showed up right on time, Got right to work, showed me what the problem was and told me how to resolve it, pretty quick but very knowledgeable

I called Shane to inquire about having Eager Beaver renovate 2 bathrooms for us. Shane told me to go to the Eager Beaver website and fill out the inquiry form. An appointment couldn't be scheduled until that happened. I did that and ended up scheduling time for a couple of days later. I got an email from the web form telling me that the service request had been fulfilled so I called Shane to verify the appointment. Something had happened with the system and Shane verified the appointment. Shane came out when he said and would and walked around with my husband and I. He was very polite and professional and I really liked him. He noticed things that were not complete in my house (like my husband's TV cables still running through our living room) and said that he could fix those and we agreed to have his quote them with his bid. When he left, I was excited about the possibility of having one company handle a lot of items on my "honey do" list in addition to the renovation work. He said that he would have the quotes to us a couple of days later. A couple of days came and went, then a week and now as I write this it's been months. Never heard another word from Shane. It's disappointing because it's time wasted for both sides.

Shane and his team did a great job with the finishes to our townhome. The renovation process can be a very stressful one, with many hidden surprises and changes in planning along the way. He was very helpful in doing his best to keep us on track regarding our budget and timeline, and was always open to hearing our opinions and ideas on any of the specific projects/pricing options/adjustments/etc. The overall experience was very pleasant and we have received numerous compliments on the condition of our place (especially from a few friends who witnessed it pre-renovation). Thanks for the good work!

Eager Beaver did a great job. Shane was more than accommodating to our schedule and communication with him was smooth. Different crew members (carpentry, electrical, painting) were at the house on parts of 3 different days. They were always on time and professional. They helped us pick the number of lights we needed to illuminate the space properly, made recommendations to us and did the various jobs in an order that made sense and was efficient. They were careful to protect our belongings and cleaned up well after the work. Everything looks great and we're happy we found Eager Beaver on Angie's List. I'll have absolutely no hesitation to hire them when I have a need in the future.

The services performed were done professionally. In my opinion he may have worked a little slower than expected for a professional (which was annoying given the limited time frame of my purchase), but all the work was done to perfection, so I'd take that any day over bad work.

Shane 2 & Kaleb were extremely accomodating. They arrived early, got right to work & when I mentioned fixing the garage opener beeping sound as what to do if time permitted, they jumped on it, quickly determined it was the battery & took it with them when going to purchase concrete. They had to go to @ least 3 different stores in search of battery...they could have easily stopped @ first or 2nd & tell me what Sears told them which was to "purchase it online." Once they opened the brand new mailbox I purchased it was damaged. Off to the store again! They met each challenge with professionalism & enthusiasm. All of their extra efforts were greatly appreciated!

Both jobs went well. We we very please with the work, especially the repairing of the siding. They saw areas that went didn't point out and repaired those areas as well. Overall they were very professional and one work began, very efficient.

The service went very well. Shane2 was the repair person. He arrived at the time agreed. He was very friendly and professional. As he performed the service, he explained the process so that I was aware of what was being done. I selected the tiles on line and I emailed the item number to Shane(the owner) and the tiles were picked up by Shane2 on the day the repair was completed.

All work went very well. They were on time, worked swiftly but carefully. Will definitely use again.

I provided all materials, but did not have the tools (or experience) to cut the long MDF shelving lineals. The handyman came out and listened to the job I needed him for and repeated everything to make sure we were clear. From there he took care of everything. I had to point out where my materials were, where a power outlet was, and just got out of his way. He measured each shelf individually to accommodate variability in how the walls had settled over time (they are a little narrower at the top). He used his nail gun to fix the shelves to the anchors I installed. He caulked the edges so as to make it look like each shelf was part of the wall. The handyman left the work area and my garage a little cleaner than it was when he got there. All in all, it was a great experience and I plan to use their services again when I need more handyman work done.

I contacted Shane on Friday 9/4 and he responded after the holiday and explained to me the process and setup my appt for later on that week. We decided so that they wouldn't have to come twice to give the estimate and if I agree perform in the same day. The appt was at 5:15pm and Chris called to say he was trying to get thru traffic and arrived an hour late. I was annoyed by that because he should have figured out the time for him to get to point A to B. Chris arrived and told me the estimate. Now mind you, I had already you tubed the process of 7 to 10 minutes and priced the part at lowes (no more than $20). I was charged $25 for the part and $200 for the labor. Chris explained that this is serious plumbing dealing with the flange and required more labor. The job was completed but afterwards we started having major plumbing issues. I would not use this company again.

The work was completed in a timely fashion. The issue was with the customer service, the contact at Eager Beaver was pushy and unfriendly. This coupled with the fact that their estimate to complete the work was 35% higher than the estimates I received from 3 other companies. Based on my experience I would not use this company again. It is HIGHLY recommended to price other options.

Shane originally scheduled service a week or so ago, but had to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances. He contacted us quickly and rescheduled promptly. His worker showed up at our house on time and performed the work in the time estimated. There were no surprises or issues with the cost or quality of the work. We will use Eager Beaver Handyman Services again in the future.

Were responsive and professional. Handled a wide range of issues from painting to moving light fixtures to installing drapes. Friendly and professional. I recommend them.

Work was done on time and satisfactorily. Service provider checked with owner to authorize extra cost of parts.

Awesome! Spoke with Shane Halpin and he was always prompt with call-backs, professional, and on-time for all appointments. The crew was professional and skilled and arrived on-time each day. They were all very friendly. Would definitely hire again. Thanks for the great work.

Saw great reviews on Angie's List so I called and left a message about getting an estimate. I was looking specifically for companies who covered my area. Next day I got a call back which is pretty good based on other places I've tried. Talked with Shane about setting up a time to come out but when I gave him my address, he said it was out of their service area. Was a little annoyed because the Angie's list site says EB serves Gaston, Iredell, Mecklenburg, Union, York, & Portions Of Cabarrus County. I am in York county and assumed it would not be an issue. There is even a map on EB's website that has a grey circle on it of Charlotte and surrounding areas and what I assume is the service area. My address is within that circle. If something has changed about your service area, you may want to note that on your website and on Angie's List (if possible). But, Shane was very polite and apologized for me being out of the area. At least I found out I was out of the area before setting up appt! Please call before you buy a deal so you can find out first if your in the service area.

Very organized setup of the appointment time. Everything went very well. He was pleasant and easy to work with.

I really enjoyed their service. I liked their responsiveness. I think they called within the day or the very next morning. They made contact to set up an appointment to give a quote. They had fast service and were very courteous. All around, I enjoyed working with them. I'll be calling them in a couple more weeks to have some other things done around the house. I would definitely use them in the future.

Great experience! Eager Beaver was very responsive, professional and fair. I received a free estimate up front, then the crew arrived ahead of schedule. The work was completed quickly, efficiently and extremely well. And they did a great job of cleaning up afterwards. Definitely went the extra mile! I would absolutely use them again!

Everything was completed to my satisfaction.

Showed up on-time. Installed the mount, cleaned up and mounted the TV. No issues and I would definitely recommend him.
