I now have an annual contract with them. I like them. I like their service. They are prompt. In fact I have them coming out at the end of April to do a maintenance for my HVAC system. Typically one person comes out. They are typically done within an hour. They leave the area very clean.

I have been using them for at least the past 2 or 3 years now, and I use them each year. I started the yearly maintenance contract this year. They installed a zoning of my house and from that point on I have used them.

Installation took much longer than expected. One of the initial AC units didn't work and had to be replaced entirely twice now, fortunately under warranty. Now one of the heaters doesn't work and Dulin can't figure out what is wrong. It's been 5 days of a broken heater with no resolution. Over the years, my husband and I have had to miss many many days waiting for them to repair, and then when the repair doesn't work, waiting again for more repairs. It's very frustrating that they can rarely figure out the problem and that we always have to miss so much time off of work.

They were supposed to come back and fixed it yesterday. I left work and waited for them, no show, I called at 3:20 pm and they told me that no one was coming. I was upset and had to leave work, they could've at least called me to re schedule. They didn't call me back till 3:45 pm and I was supposed to be back to work.

Seamlessly. J came over, we explored options and decided on a replacement system and added an air cleaning system (recently diagnosed with allergies to dust!). They came as scheduled, covered the floor where they needed to bring materials in, installed all as promised. They provided info on programming the smart thermostat and details on the app for our smartphones. We were cool (temperature and app!) that evening and it was wonderful. We have dogs and even replaced the protective barrier so the dogs would not chew on the new equipment.
Description of Work: HVAC Replacement We've had a semiannual inspection/service for years and shortly after the service, the air conditioning failed. They came to inspect and found a leak in the Freon and for 'x' we could add Freon but because of the leak, it would be difficult to know how long the AC would continue to work. Due to the availability of the old vs new Freon and difficulties associated with replacing just the ac portion, we decided replacement was the best option.

Best price & no "hard sell". I contacted 3 companies with stellar Angie's List recommendations for quotes. The other 2 companies came in, looked at existing systems and sketched out numbers of windows and registers in order to perform a "load calculation" to make sure that they sized equipment correctly. One of them was bragging about how their company maintains the HVAC equipment for all the Ingersoll-Rand executives in the area and how large & experienced their company was. Joey Dulin came in and very quietly walked through the house and checked the existing systems. Talk about "soft sell" - he was very proud of the family business, but no boasting and no computerized "load calculations". He came back with exactly the same sized equipment and was $500 less than the lowest of the other two quotes for exactly the same equipment. Took the crew (shout out to Daniel & Matt) one day to replace each of the two systems. No fancy uniforms, just salt-of-the-earth guys who knew what they were doing and were very respectful of our home. Couldn't be more pleased.

I called on Tuesday and got appt for today between 12 - 2 PM. I called Dulin as they had provided good service in the past. I had forgotten that I had home warranty so had called the warranty company this morning and explained the situation, they informed me that they have a Authorization process, where they just need a quote from the technician before they start the work once the diagnosis was done. I would pay for the services and then would be reimbursed. The technician came in about 2:45 PM. Before he even started the diagnosis, I informed him that I have a home warranty and that I would need to get a quote so that at least they would cover some of the repair costs. I explained that I would pay for the service but the warranty company requires that he give a quote first. He did the diagnosis and said that the system needed freon/coolant. I explained that I had to put freon in a couple of years ago and he said that it should never be needed every few years and there must be a leak in the system. He called the office after this and came back saying that "Doone" (Spell?) informed that he cannot speak to any warranty company. I told him that I am paying for the service not the warranty company and he asked me to call the office instead. I called and spoke to Lisa as Doone did not take the call when I asked for her. I explained to Lisa that I would pay for the service but need the technician to give a quote to the warranty company first. She asked for the technician to call back, which the technician did. He came back with the same quote, that he is not to talk to the warranty company. He started to add the freon and I asked him to wait a couple of minutes while I call the warranty company, the company asked to speak to him and I informed that he is not going to do that. At that point, the technician just started to walk away, it was like being pressured to proceed with the work or I am outta here scene. I told him to proceed with the work and in the meanwhile I went into the house to deal with the warranty company. A few minutes later, I looked out side and he had already left. I informed the warranty company that he had left, they called Lisa and asked for him or another technician to come back to the house. Lisa said that they were all busy. The warranty company, called another company to schedule someone to come out tomorrow as at this point I had no choice. They even offered to waive their fees, even if it was not their fault that the technician just walked off. After that I called the office and spoke to Doone, and I went step by step as to what happened. I told her that I informed the technician and Lisa that I would pay for the services and not the warranty company multiple times. She said that there was a communication problem between us. The communication problem is within the office and not with me. This I made very clear to Doone. I waited two days for someone to company come out and this is the type of customer service that I received, utter disrespect. It's 88 degrees in the house and I have two kids. Doone offered to have Chance come out late today to put some freon, I said that I have another company coming out tomorrow already as you did not have anyone else available and the technician would not come back as he was busy. I informed Doone on the utter disrespect of the customer and that I would be contacting the owner, she said that I can do that anytime I want. I told her that she did not even offer a discount for the whole situation and only at that point she said that she will do that. They have lost a good customer and I will no longer recommend them to friends and family.They are no longer the reliable company they were in the past. After all of this, I received a response from Joey late at night giving some information about how to handle it with the Warranty company and the other vendor. He gave me some information which was valid. He also offered to fix the problem. At this point, I asked Joey to fill freon in the outdoor unit as a temporary fix until the coil can be replaced. He sent a technician the next day on a Saturday to add the freon. Over the next few days, Joey and I went back on forth by email about the issue, We found the vendor which the home warranty company sent was incorrect that there was a mismatch between the outdoor and indoor units.Joey offered to get the issue resolved.Over the next few days, Joey was trying to get the new coil but none was available, in the mean time, the freon had to be filled again which he sent another technician the next day. At this point, Joey took a coil from his inventory and replaced the coil instead of waiting for the coil from the manufacturer. This was a life saver and fixed the problem.Joey did an excellent job in resolving the entire issue.

The entire experience, from the first phone call to the installation went smoother than I ever thought possible. We moved into our home last summer (8/2015) and immediately needed to replace the 25 year old HVAC unit. Nobody likes to have to drop that kind of cash right after buying a home. My husband and I wanted to take our time and research various companies. We interviewed and received estimates for a total of 7 companies. We chose Dulin Mechanical over the others for many reasons. They had the most positive reviews, they used top of the line equipment and most importantly, the owner, Joey Dulin, was very patient in answering all of our questions. We never felt pressured by him. Some of the other companies tried using fear tactics in an attempt to have us buy systems that were much higher priced or equipment and ductwork we didn't need. The actual installation went well. They pulled all the required permits for us. The technicians were very professional and neat. They had no issues installing the system and it easily passed inspection. They completely cleaned up before leaving. We appreciated the care they took in putting down runners so our carpeting wouldn't get dirty from everyone coming in and out of the house. I regret taking so long to post this review. Sometimes life gets busy, especially if you have kids. I remembered to post this because technicians came out to my home yesterday for our summer maintenance. That appointment also went well. The two gentleman that came to do the maintenance were polite and professional. Our quoted price was a reflection of price for installation, warranty and discounts offered. At the time of our installation, there was a rebate on the equipment offered. They also offer a discount if paid in full at time of installation. I believe they have financing options as well.

I called Dulin Mechanical in early March to schedule an estimate, and the president of the company, Joey Dulin, came out to our house the following week. Mr. Dulin listened to all our concerns regarding the old system, conducted a thorough assessment of our needs, and proposed several possible solutions while onsite. We weighed our options and ultimately chose a gas furnace to replace the hydronic system, in the same location and using the existing ducts and vents. The work was scheduled soon after we made our decision. The crew was on time, polite, and worked diligently until the job was done. Since we've had several cool days and nights, we've put the heating system to the test. It works great; so much better and quieter than the old system. Now that it's getting warmer, we'll try the ac soon as well. I highly recommend this company. From the crew to the office staff, they were very professional. A job well done by all!

All went well! When we purchased our home 2 years ago we were made aware that the original first floor 20+ year old systems would need to be replaced at some point in the next few years. Over the last 2 years we met with approximately 10 other well respected firms to ensure we were prepared. What impressed me with Dulin Mechanical was the fact that the owner Joey came out and gave us the estimate, answered questions-he gave us his cell phone number in case we had additional questions. Well, a couple months later, our furnace died. We had another company come out since they were servicing our systems, they told us it would be a $600-700 repair. I called Joey, told him what we needed to replace, he told us it was not an expensive part. He sent his serviceman out that day since we were expecting snow and charged me $175. Dulin has been servicing our units since then. Our furnace took its last breath recently and needed to be replaced. Dulin Mechanical was flexible with our dates as we had to change the date of install a few times. Daniel and Matt from Dulin replaced the systems and ductwork. They were professional, respectful and informative. Our old system was so loud that it would wake me up at night when it came on, last night it kicked on but I slept through the night-no noise! In addition, we mentioned awhile back that we had issues with our thermostat. Joey Dulin came out today and showed us how to use it properly and set it for us. Dulin Mechanical really cares about their customers! Thank you Joey Dulin, Dawn, Daniel and Matt. We are very impressed and plan to share your name with everyone we know!

My a/c was blowing warm air. The technician, Chip, arrived within 3 -4 hours after I called. He kept me informed of the problem and had the replacement part in the truck. Chip quickly changed the part and also checked the refrigerant, which he advised me was okay. The response and work was done quickly, professionally and effectively. Within a few hours after my initial call on a high heat day, my a/c was up and running again. I would definitely use their service again and highly recommend Dulin Mechanical Services.
