They were great about coming out. They were prompt, professional, and courteous. They handed out a great little booklet and a brochure which was very impressive. It showed their company background and customer expectation list. I liked them.

Andy came out and checked our unit not working well. He commented that the ducts were poor shape and may need to be changed out. He reported to Joey Dulin and Joey called me the same day to set up an appointment. He took pictures and showed me how our current ducts were losing air and not sealed correctly. He quoted me a price on the same day. We proceeded with the installation and his install crew did a great job. I checked on them at lunch time and they had all of my old ducts pulled out. When I arrived home at 5. pm, the old ducts were gone and they were finishing up. You would not know that they had been there. Steve Dellinger called the next morning to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. A very professional job and would highly recommend them. I have done so 3 times in the last week.

I have used Dulin several times in the past and always had a good experience. I have provided good reports for them on Angies List and I have recommended them to other people resulting in additional work for them. So I am very disappointed to have to post this negative report. I called Dulin to tell them exactly what I needed. This was for my Dad's condo which had sustained water damage due to a leak from an a/c unit in the condo above. I scheduled an appt for an estimate on a Wednesday. I had to leave work at lunch to meet Joey. This is the first time I have worked with him specifically. He took a look and asked if I wanted an estimate then or if I just wanted it emailed. Since i had to get back to work, I told him to email. I thought he would send it that day, since he seemed prepared to give it to me on site. I still had not received it by Friday, so I called the office. I was told that Joey would be contacted and they would get the estimate to me. I never received it. On the following Tuesday, i called the office again and spoke to Lisa. She said Joey was having computer problems and she would follow up with him again. It has now been another week and I have heard nothing. Obviously, the responsiveness is beyond poor, but the lack of professionalism is surprising considering my past experiences with Dulin. At the very least, after my 2nd phone call, they could have called back to let me know what was going on. I wasted an hour of my time going out for the estimate and I've wasted over a week waiting for the estimate. They have lost a good customer and I will no longer recommend them to friends and family. I will also tell my uncle, who is a contractor and referred them to me in the first place, that they are no longer the reliable company they were in the past.

Excellent service. Lower unit was not blowing cold air. Requested after hours service due to ill spouse. Tech was accomodating and arrived in 30mins. He determined it was the capacitor. He replaced the capacitor and was gone in less than 30min - all in all it took less than an hour. Tech was very nice and professional and did not try to sell us anything we did not need. He also gave me a small discount which was nice. ( Wish I would have been aware of the coupon on here though)

Sometime in June I had called Dulin Mechanical to check our A/C. So they promptly came when they said they would come and then checked the system and added anti- freeze to it. They also suggested to get a programmable thermostat. So I called them on July 5 to install a programmable thermostat and they were flexible in scheduling and appointment and they did a good job.

My existing unit was over 15 years old and the compressor was blown. I shopped around and obtained quotes from multiple A/C repair and installation companies. The gentleman that came to the house gave me a very fair estimate and no hard sell. Very professional. I had one other bid for almost $2k more for almost the exact same system. The installation went well. Couple guys installed new unit and removed old equipment. They left a couple follow up items to install a new air duct in my master bedroom and to install new vent cover for the heating output on the side of the house. This occurred a week or so later and the gentlemen that installed it were very friendly and proficient. They arranged for the electrical inspection and helped provide all the paperwork for energy credits.

Nice company to work with...Upstairs unit was not cooling that well...Tech came out next day and saw that unit was still under warranty and refered me to another company that specializes with my brand of AC. He put in some freon to get us through the day and did not charge anything.

Joey Dulin provided the estimate. He was very professional and laid out several options, giving us the advantages and disadvantages of each. There was no pressure to select any particular option. They voluntarily added coolant to one of our systems to keep it limping along until they installed the new systems. For the actual installation, installers were on time and professional. As usual, there were a few nits: the installation took longer than expected, so we went one night without AC, and the installers left packing & insulation materials behind, so we had to call to get them picked up. But overall, it was an "A" rated experience.

Dulin's promptly came to our house and gave us a detailed quote. We sought out this fourth quote b/c we were interested in possibly taking advantage of tax rebates and installing a more efficient geothermal system, and Dulin performs residential geothermal installation. Their quote gave us numerous model combinations and a large price range, which we appreciated. Joey, the owner, told my wife that he would send us an energy/cost breakdown of the various models in four days. I gave them a B in responsiveness b/c we waited nearly two weeks for this. After placing two calls, we received the email containing this comparison. We were told that Joey had computer problems. The information on the cost effectiveness of the models was pivotal in making our decision and we ended up going with a longer-term cost effective model that we would not have selected without this information. The install was scheduled within five days. B/c we had waited through the June 15 date in which our natural gas provider reduced their Energy Star rebate, I contacted Dulin and they credited the account with the difference. The crew that came on the first day encountered trouble trying to fit the larger evaporator coil and furnace unit into a closet. I did not realize this until the next day, but they rushed to install a temporary, filterless AC system top give me cool air when they realized they could not get the work done on the first day. But with that, the outdoor AC unit was not square to my house, was not well supported, and the evaporator coil and furnace were not stable or square as well. I was going to wait to tell the crew the following day before contacting Dulin, but they never showed on the second day (Wednesday). I called the office twice and left my cell number. They did not contact me until the end of the second day, saying that they wanted to finish the install on the following Monday or Tuesday. I had already given them two days. Not happy with this, I decided that it was important for me to express my concerns with the quality and timeline, so I sent an email to Joey and Steve, the installation supervisor, on Wednesday night. I listed my concerns. The following morning, I received prompt phone calls from both of them. They sent a new crew on Friday, all of the previous work was redone in response to my concerns, and the rest of the work was finished by a quality crew. They were apologetic but also fast acting. They bumped up the inspection for the Friday afternoon, but the inspector came Saturday morning. I rate them with an A overall, because once my concerns were expressed, the jumped right at resolving them professionally and promptly. The work looks good and functions well.

We realized in early afternoon on the 21st that our air conditioner wasn't working. We looked up on Angie's List and placed a call to Dulin Mechanical Services, who told us that the unit was probably frozen up. They couldn't come out to check/repair it until the next morning between 8:00 and 10:00 am. They also told us that we could run it, if it would function at all, during the day, but to turn the fan only on in the evening, as they couldn't work on a frozen unit unless it had time to thaw out. The next morning Andres arrived just before 10. He was very friendly and courteous. It didn't take him long to find the burnt contactor and replace it. It was GREAT to feel the cool air start to circulate!!! Andres came in and explained what had happened, showed us the defective part, and explained that the coils were extremely dirty, and that the unit really needed to be serviced. He explained the service contract his company offered, and made several calls to verify how to bill the visit/contract. We felt he was really working to make sure we received the best possible price for his services. So nice to feel that someone actually cares enough to make the extra effort to ensure all discounts are actually applied to a bill. We were given a waiver of the service call charge and a 15% discount on the part he had installed with the purchase of the service contract. In addition, the 15% discount would also apply to any parts they might need to install if we needed to make another service call, although the $85 service call would be added to the next call, if needed. We have been more than pleased with the service we received, and would like to recommend Andres and his company to anyone who requires any air conditioner service. It was a pleasure meeting him. We now feel confident that we have found the firm we need to take care of any of our heating/cooling needs.

I called Friday, June 17th and got an appointment for Monday, the 20th, between 12 and 2. I received a call Monday morning asking if they could come earlier, which was great. The technician explained everything in terms I could understand, added the Freon, and left. The unit has been working wonderfully since and we are extremely happy.

I called at 9pm on Monday night. The service manager called me back THAT NIGHT! He told me that while they were really backed up, they would make room in tomorrows schedule for an Angie's List customer. The next day someone arrived at my house. They discovered that one of my primary drainage pipes was clogged and corrected it. The next day I still had standing water - so I called them back. They came out again, and determined that the way it was originally installed was incorrect. They corrected the original installation (with no additional charge) - and voila' - problem solved. Several days later my ac was not cooling upstairs. My wife called and they had someone out there that afternoon - they found that the fan motor on the outside unit had broken, and replaced it while they were here. I found everyone from the service manager, to the technicians arriving at my home, to be professional, knowledgeable, and trust worthy. I will definitely use them again!

Our 9 year-old HVAC unit was not blowing air consistently and was creating some wet areas in our condo. This had happened once before and we had called the company that originally installed the unit in 2002. They came out, serviced the unit, and the tech said there a leak inside the unit that could not be fixed; we would need to purchase a new unit in the near future. Because we had not been totally satisfied with the original service provider, I hopped on Angie's List and found Dulin Mechanical. The unit had stopped working over the long Memorial Day weekend (naturally!), so I called a7 7:30 on Tuesday. The gentleman was most helpful and said he would call back shortly to schedule a visit when my wife would be home. They arrive promptly on the specified day - an experienced and pleasant technician and an apprentice, diagnosed the problem as the system being frozen and empty of freon. serviced it completely and told us to call if there were more issues. He asked if we wanted to purchase a service agreement, but when my wife said she wanted to talk to me about it, he said fine and left us information - no hard sell. The unit is working fine; we've had no problems. I would highly recommend Dulin for any HVAC issues. We certainly will use them again. AND we used the Angie's List coupon to get $35 off the cost of the visit.

They were awesome. reasonably priced and definitely worked hard to get our problem handled as soon as possible.

This company’s bid was far below everyone else’s, so I decided to give them a shot. They did a superlative job, and I’ve been using them ever since.

I have a maintenance agreement with them. They were here yesterday, and they are coming back out because I was not satisfied with the work. It was not the company?s fault that they sent a young guy who was not totally experienced. They are coming back out to finish up what I wanted done. I find them to be very responsive, and their work is very good. The manager that I spoke to came out personally yesterday. I wanted something else done, and he has agreed to do it too. They have satisfied all my needs there. They are a good company. They are very concerned about the feedback that their customers give to Angie?s List. Overall, I find them to be honest. I would continue to use them.

Great service. Prompt and friendly. I paid $175- a little pricey to me, but worth good service. I purchased my home 8 months ago and this is the first time I have had any maintenance on either unit. Nothing had to be repaired at this time, but the friendly technician pointed out that my dryer exhaust was not venting to the outside. He told us that this is something he could fix, but would be cheaper for us to fix it by going to lowe's and buying $8 worth of the duct to fill the missing gap. Apparently the dryer has NEVER been connected to the outside (15 inch shortage from the exterior vent to the interior duct). This is just something else my inspector missed- wished I had joined Angie's list to research a better inspector. Dulin is great- by pointing this out we fixed it and they potentially saved us from the fire hazard due to the dryer spitting lint into the attic where our Gas Furnace is located. Thanks again, I'll see you guys come winter for the furnace maintenance.

This company is top notch. They will schedule you immediately, give you a two hour window, call you 20 minutes out and actually show up. I came to Dulin via Angie's List after a really bad scheduling experience with another company. At the first visit, my system was frozen requiring a reschedule, which they called to do immediately and came today as promised without any extra visit charge. They even called me to see if they could come earlier. technician, Chris, was a really nice guy, explained what needed to be done, no funny stuff and did the work quickly. He even said to call back if anything didn't seem right within the next 30 days and they would come back out. I would highly recommend this company and will absolutely do business with them in the future.

Our heating system stopped working and a burned smell came out of the return. We called Dulin because of the many great reviews they received on Angies list. They scheduled a same day appointment within 30 minutes. The Technician was super professional and even started the work in the crawl space while my wife was still on her way home. As suspected the blower was bad and he replaced it right away. Since it was cold and we needed to get the repair done I didn't bother getting other quotes. From what I read online on typical blower replacement cost I feel that I overpaid by much, especially since it was only for the lower level (about 1200 sf). I don't know the specifics of my system though but can't give a better than "fair" for the price.

Interviewed 3 companies, Joey was very professional, easy to talk to, didn't try to sell us something we didn't need, very clear on the rebates we will recieve. They came out when they were supposed to for installation, didn't get in our way, took their time going over the new thermostat. Great company and will definitely recommend them.

I called up multiple highly rated heating & air companies I found on Angie's list to get quotes for replacing our upstairs air conditioner and furnace. Joey was probably about the 3rd or 4th contractor coming to our house to give me an estimate and proposal. I had a lot of questions and found him to be not just very patient but also very knowledgeable and willing to customize the proposal to what was most important to me. Some of the other contractors seemed to send more salesmen type people that sometimes talked badly about other equipment and were not as patient and fairly quickly off to their next appointment. In some cases I didn't even get a proposal the same day. Not so with Joey - he printed me a proposal right in his truck after a pretty long review of our old system. He made several suggestions for improvements that others had not made (eg moving the thermostat and replacing some of the vents) and included them in the proposal. I did get a proposal with multiple options (good, better, best). He was very professional and had one of the most competitive quotes I received. I continued to educate myself and had some additional contractors provide me with proposals before I decided to go with Dulin Mechanical. I asked him several more questions based on what I had heard from other contractors and he made some adjustments to the proposal and sent me at least two revisions. He was never pushy or impatient and the installation went very well and was completed in one day. They covered all the floors they were walking on before starting the job and once again answered all the questions I had. They came back out for a minor follow-up as they replaced some vents. They even took a short look at my gas fireplace free of charge, as I had not used it in a while. The system is working great and I can only highly recommend them.

From the first call to the completed job, Dulin Mechanical and all members of their staff were hard working honest people and it was a pleasure to have them work on our home. They kept us informed of each step in the process and their time estimate was spot on! They cleaned the area after the work was completed and there were no "surprises" to the time or cost estimates. Dulin Mechanical has our business as long as we live in their service area!

Monday morning I called the gas company to report smelling gas outside my home. Turned out when the heat was trying to come on the pilot wasn't igniting correctly the furnace was forcing the gas out anyway. I called Dulin Monday morning and they said they would be out between 2 and 4. My only complaint about this company was that they didn't actually show up til 5 and didn't call to let me know they would be late til 4:30. The tech checked the problem, and said he would call me in the morning with the estimate, because he needed to find out the cost or the part since they would have to order it. That night I spoke with someone who had the exact same issue last year and they had been quoted $1200 by another company! Needless to say I was concerned about what my estimate would end up being. The next morning at 8:30 am I was contacted and given the unexpectedly great news that the price for both parts and labor would only be $250. Again I was given a time frame of between 2 and 4. The tech showed up promptly at 2:30 and the issue was solved in half an hour. Everyone I spoke with was extremely courteous. I would definitely use this company again if I need to, and recommend them to others.
