DISHES AND DINNER

They didn't clean everything that they were supposed to. They forgot to clean the walls and some other things. They did not do a good job. They did okay on some of the work, but on some others, they did not. I had to call them several times. I would search for a different housecleaning service if I needed the work done again.

We had finished moving out of our old home and needed it cleaned. It was a mess. I had no idea how much dirt was hiding behind furniture, appliances and in closets until everything was moved out. I contacted Dishes and Dinner and they had a moving out package. They came in and cleaned all the rooms, sanitized the bathrooms, cleaned the windows, baseboards, and appliances. Only thing they missed was a window and window ledge in the stairway. But that was minor. Because our place was a mess. They called when they were on the way with an estimate of the arrival time so we could meet them. Overall it took about 2 hours and they called promptly when finished so. I would not hesitate to hire again.

Customer Service was great by phone once we got set up. I was given a couple of different phone #'s, but once we got all squared away - it was smooth and easy. The manager in charge came with the two housecleaners to help get the process started - and then the housecleaners cleaned everything from in an hour and a half with their $95 special. The place looked great and we couldn't have been happier!!

Frances and her girls arrived on time, cleaned everything to my satisfaction, and had smiles on their faces while they were here. They do a great job. I've called them back multiple times.

We have used Dishes and Dinner a number of times for housecleaning. Since our first conversation, Frances and the team are amazingly professional, pleasant, and punctual. The price is higher than other companies, but their service is more personal. They take the time to make sure things are really clean. They even fold my children's blanks and order their stuffed animals on their beds. Its little things like that that make us continue to rely on them. Bathrooms are cleaned well, and the whole house smells fresh when we come home. Frances communicates throughout the process, lets us know who is coming by, and they are never late. I would highly encourage others to use Dishes and Dinner.

When I called for an estimate, Frances, the owner, came to take a look. I deliberately didn't clean the house in advance of her visit, as I didn't want to have to clean it before someone came each time. She took the mess in stride and quoted me accordingly, as her team was going to have to do some pickup prior to starting to clean. I get an e-mail prior to each visit reminding me they're coming and asking if there's anything that needs special attention. Whenever I mention something specific, it's accommodated. Also, they're friendly with my cat and the house smells wonderful when they're done!

I have used several other services in the past and Dishes & Dinner goes the extra mile. Frances is very dependable, communicative and responsive. The ladies always show up on time, Frances always sends out a reminder email asking if there is anything that needs to be addressed and responds to any questions or concerns consistently and thoroughly. I like the fact that a few extra services are included. I didn't think I needed them to do two loads of laundry, but they offer that service and I have loved it!

The employees are always on time, very personable, extremely thorough and very professional. I would highly recommend Dishes & Dinner if you are looking for a fair priced cleaning service that is dependable.

We started service five months ago. It was excellent in the beginig. Owner Frances was good. She make sure the job done right. But as times goes quality of work dropped. Probably they got more houses to take care. Frances tried to get it done right way but we noticed that if she is there work done right but if she is not they girls tried to rush. Later its been trend to skip work. They start missing whole laundry room, sometimes counter top not cleaned. trash bin not emty, areas of floor not cleaned etc. Each time we mention to Frances, next time service is good then back to same problems. Eventually we get tired of this inspection job all the time. We lost level of trust that job done the right way. Eventually we quite. Frances tried her best to fix the problems but it didnot work.

They do a very good job. Much better than other providers than have been used.

They arrived about an hour later than estimated and were very professional. One worked upstairs and the other started downstairs. However, they whispered between themselves when together and, when I checked upstairs after they left, the carpets were really not well done -- perhaps it was the quality of the equipment. Overall, it was a good deal, but otherwise I will not re-engage their services.

If you are looking for a professional company, Dishes and Dinner is for you. I have been able to communicate with Frances more successfully than with other services. Also, Frances has thought through my needs at times before I have.

While searching Angie's List for a cleaning service, I received a "50% off on 3 hour cleaning" coupon for this company in my email box. 3 hours of cleaning normally priced at $100.00 offered for $50.00? I jumped on it. Scheduling was easy -- the owner of the company was very professional / prompt. I needed to leave town on the scheduled day of the cleaning and the two women who were scheduled to come to perform the work were prompt and courteous. I just had the entire townhome redone: all new paint, carpeting, tile, commodes and appliances (no interior refrigerator / stove cleaning was necessary). Was mainly looking for a thorough dusting, vacuuming and cleaning of the inside of the windows and the mirrors and vanities. Upon their arrival, they politely explained that the 3 hour special for $50.00 equated to two cleaners for 1.5 hours each. OK. This is an 1,100 square foot unit -- not large. So I figured even if they finished in less than 1.5 hours each, there would be no issues. Net - they missed the following: the inside of the window on the sliding glass door was not touched / there had been some drywall touchup work in one of the bedrooms and the room needed a thorough vacuuming to remove the related dust, etc. They vacuumed around the dust and did not touch the floor boards. There is no way this could have been missed - there is no furniture / nothing blocking access. The minor residual carpet strands associated with a new carpet install were missed as well. Not really sure if the two people were actually there for the full 1.5 hours.... If I had paid the full $100.00, I would have been very upset --- maybe I only 'got what I paid for' re: $50.00, but money is money. I

I had Frances come out 2 weeks before for the same full cleaning service. Both times, she emailed the day before to confirm the appointment. She is punctual, friendly, and accommodating. On that first visit, she explained the prices for weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly services. She explained everything that she was going to do. She seemed quite thorough. I was happy she used "green" cleaning products, especially in my baby's nursery. I was pleased both times with her service.

Frances was personable, positive that she and helper could accomplish this mission with no problem. We came to agreement on date/time, and I was excited to have someone so highly touted coming to my aid. First problem: day before appointment, Frances called to try to change time. for her cleaning. It was strange to me, because her reasoning did not seem to have any substance. I offered to get someone else for the job, but she seemed to want it, and we compromised with the time. When she arrived at the house, I was curious why the time needed to be changed, and she said it was for my benefit. (I had set up the original time for my benefit, so that made no sense to me, either.) So Frances and her assistant cleaned for 3hrs, as she anticipated. Upon my walk-thru, I first noticed the grime left on the entire circumference of both full bath floors. Mopping does not remove that build-up. It requires a scrub brush and concentrated effort on that problem to get it out. When I pointed it out to her, she claimed it to be caulking. She took a scrub-pad out to show me, and even with that improper tool, it was melting away and revealed hair and more dirt. She claimed she does not even HAVE any brushes, and that particular job is not included in their standard cleaning. That is bewildering to me, as brushes are so instrumental in removing many types of grime from so many different areas. I do not wish to move into that house until the previous owners' dirt is gone. I was obviously unhappy, and Frances offered to return to complete the job. I was so disgusted with the situation, that I just paid her (full price) and let her go. After her departure, I calmed down and walked through, noticing there were still cobwebs behind the doors and hanging from a built in cabinet in the kitchen area. It will require several hours of my time to compete the job. I feel violated, and sad that Angie's List has failed me for the first time of using the recommendations. To be fair, the word CLEAN is very subjective. And I will concede that what she DID do was done well. But that was only surface dirt. For a deep clean situation, I would not recommend her company. Update 11/8/10: Frances had an assistant with her, and they spent far too long upstairs, (Those baths should have been spotless!) When she declared they were finished, I toured the home with her to check their work, and found grime in the circumference of the bathroom floor. Asked if they didn't have a brush to clean that out, she stated that they don't HAVE brushes, and that it was caulking I was seeing. It was not caulking, but the fact that they don't have necessary equipment to clean a house thoroughly was a turnoff. Yes, she offered to come back at a later date to clean it. They were eager to get out of there, she was obviously unwilling to finish the job then, and her attitude showed through, so I declined her offer to come back. They obviously don't know what clean is, let alone sanitary! After their departure, I found they had not even touched the kitchen cabinets, which I had asked to be cleaned out prior to my unpacking. Nor did they even cleanse the outside of the dishwasher or other appliances. They were all left scummy from the previous residents. They did clean the refrigerator, which I later found was a poor job, as they had cleaned only the tops of the shelves and had missed all kinds of grime in the crevices (but of course, if they don't have brushes, that would be a given!). As the weeks progressed, I found more and more things that they had ignored, and became more and more furious that I had paid for their "service" after she swore to me she could/would do all I had requested. I spent hours for the next few weeks correcting their negligence., Ultimately, I called to voice my anger and was refunded a portion of the cost. That certainly did not make up for the time it cost me, delaying my unpacking.

I was very impressed with Frances. She contacted me within a couple of days to set up an in house estimate. When she arrived we went through everything that I had wanted done. She was professional, enthusiastic and compassionate about my cleaning dilemma. We were able to set up a cleaning appointment the next week. I was so grateful. When I came home that night from work the house looked great. I can"t wait till she comes back to detail clean the kitchen and master bedroom! After researching several companies, I am so glad I choose Dishes and Dinner! Thank you!!

I don’t have many complaints. I had to clarify a few things with them that surprised me but the owner is really willing to work with me as far as adding tasks or taking on new responsibilities.

They have come out 3 or 4 times before. The experience was excellent. They were very punctual and very clean. They used all natural products. They were professional. I thought the price was good. They are coming again in a couple of weeks.

Frances scheduled the cleaning very quickly (I think she heard the desperation in my voice). She arrived on time and after discussing what needed to be done, she went to work. She vacuumed and wiped down all of the walls, crown molding and baseboards in the first floor of my house. She also vacuumed the drapes in every room (very difficult chore). She dusted the light fixtures and ceiling fans. Frances did an outstanding job and has very good attention to detail. On top of that, her attitude is delightful. My furniture is currently stored in a POD in my driveway. Next week Frances has agreed to return to help me dust and vacuum the furniture before it is moved back into my house.

Francis is absolutely fabulous. She is very thorough and she always leaves my home just sparkling. She is very prompt and responsible. She took the time to explain exactly what she was going to do and she is very reasonably priced. I can't imagine what life was like before I started using her. I pay her per visit for the cleaning. I will absolutely continue to use her in the future.

I interviewed several companies rated with "A"s by the members of Angie's List, and I hired Frances because she makes a fantastic first impression. She's a young woman starting her own business, and I appreciated her energy and professionalism, which was lacking in some of the other folks I interviewed. Frances was on time, specific in her pricing, and didn't waste my time during the estimate process. Rather, she asked specific questions about what we wanted and explained what she provided. I was very clear about what I was getting for the price. Today, she completed her first monthly cleaning. She arrived at 8:30 and finished at 1:30. I dont' think she took a break. She was very methodical and organized. There was nothing random about her approach to the rooms, but she clearly top-to-bottomed the surfaces in each room. She had everything she needed and never asked me for supplies. There are two adults and two dogs in this house -- one of which is extra-large and sheds like a snow storm. It is impossible to get all fur off of our furniture, but Frances got as close as we can get (maybe better!?). Likewise, I've walked through the whole house and have yet to see anything that I'm not happy with. In fact, I'm somewhat amazed at my husband's bathroom. I don't think it has ever been that clean. I'm not sure he'll recognize it. I might actually use it now! We've had two other cleaning services, and neither has performed to the level that Frances has. Neither of them treated our house like it was a product that they were delivering to us -- a clean living space. They both seemed so "whatever" about how things looked when they left after two hours or less (as opposed to five). It was as though they weren't serious about their work, particularly the quality of it. And they charged us just a little less than Francis charges -- a $20-30 price difference. This was a different experience. Of course, today was somewhat of a trial since it was the first monthly cleaning, but she absolutely delivered on her professional first impression, and I look forward to her monthly visits from now on. I also was impressed that the dogs didn't pay her any mind except to wander over for the occasional pet. Our previous cleaning lady was like a tornado. The dogs were exhausted by her noise, and so were we. My husband actually avoided her, and I therefore scheduled her visits on my off-days from work. I worked in my office the whole time Frances was here except when she was cleaning my office, and I was totally undisturbed. So were the dogs. She left behind a peaceful, clean house, and that's worth every penny.

My clients love her Frances, she is on time, and does what she syas she will do.

This is the third of fourth time I've used Dishes and Dinner and my experiences with Frances and her company continue to be wonderful. Ms. Bolinger is professional, reliable and extremely friendly. I trust her completely and never hesitate to leave her alone in my home. She's always worked with my crazy schedule and has bent over backwards to help me in every way possible. Though this review is for her most recent service at my home, I've had Frances perform similar cleaning services at my office and she's never let me down. I've recommended Dishes and Dinner's services to all my friends and co-workers and will continue to do so. Try this company - you won't be disappointed!
