DENNIS TERRY LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT

I met with Mr. Terry at my house and discussed my need for a landscaping plan. He made several suggestions and I agreed to have him prepare a plan at a cost of $500.00. He said that he did not need any money up front, but would come up with some suggestions, send them to me and then finalize the plan. I agreed. No plan was ever prepared or sent to me. I followed up with him on four occasions- once by email and three times by telephone. He never returned my call or sent me anything to indicate why he did not keep his word. I was very disappointed.

I am totally satisfied. Though Dennis' company does not actually do the work, he does have contractors he can recommend if needed. I now have a fabulous plan that I can execute in stages that I can afford, knowing how the end result will look. I encourage others NOT to think that they can't afford a landscape architect for a small yard project. HGTV's "Curb Appeal" could not have done a better job.

NICE GUY. NOT AS KNOWLEDGEABLE ON DIFFERENT PLANTS AS AN EXPERT SHOULD BE. UNIMAGINATIVE DESIGN. CHARGED MORE THAN NEEDED BASED ON WORK DONE.

WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH OUR EXPERIENCE! DENNIS WAS GREAT TO WORK WITH. HE WAS PROFESSIONAL YET EASY TO TALK TO, SO WE WERE COMFORTABLE SHARING OUR IDEAS & ASKING QUESTIONS. HE HONORED OUR CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE PLAN BY USING WHAT WOULD WORK & THEN HELPING US UNDERSTAND CHANGES OR ADDITIONS. WE REALLY APPRECIATED THE OPPORTUNITY TO REVIEW THE FINAL PLAN IN DETAIL & THE FACT THAT HE IS WILLING TO PROVIDE CONTINUED FEEDBACK AS NEEDED.

I CAN'T RECOMMEND DENNIS HIGHLY ENOUGH. HE WORKED WITH US TO RE-DESIGN OUR BACK AND FRONT YARD, WHICH WERE OVERGROWN AND HAD SEEN YEARS OF NEGLECT FROM FORMER OWNERS. WE JUST HAD NO VISION, AND HE HELPED US WITH AN OVERALL CONCEPT AND DESIGN AND CAME BACK UNTIL WE WERE ALL SATISFIED WITH THE OVERALL PLAN. HE'S PLEASANT TO WORK WITH, FUNNY, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, HE LISTENS. WE FOUND HIM RESPECTFUL OF OUR CONCERNS, BOTH DESIGN-WISE, AND FINANCIALLY, AS WE HOPE TO DO SOME OF THE WORK OURSELVES AND TIME IT OUT OVER A FEW SEASONS. HIS RATE IS ALSO MORE THAN REASONABLE, $40/HOUR.
