+ 2 moreTypically when I hire cleaning people I instead get "wiping" people; they simply run a rag around the house. Jose and his staff actually CLEANED. Wonderful experience. As well Jose is prompt in returning calls and accommodating to my flexible cleaning needs. Will definitely use D&J Services at every opportunity I can!

Description of Work: She came by herself and painted our bonus room upstairs. I was skeptical. I'm new to Angies list and I joined when a neighbor sent me an add for one of your specials, paint a room for 100.00. I was so impressed with the work she did. We just provided the paint and she did the rest. She was prompt, tidy, quiet and completed the job in 3 hours. I was thrilled with quality of her work and I will call her again in the future and recommend her to my friends!

+ -1 moreIt was a fantastic experience. I received a prompt response to my request for service and scheduled an appointment. The night before my scheduled appointment, my mother broke her hip and required surgery the day of the appointment. I had to cancel by email in the middle of the night. Although I told Dinoreh that I believed that the company had fulfilled its obligation to me, she insisted that I reschedule the appointment after things has settled down. I did. She was prompt, fast, and competent in painting my kitchen. The kitchen was as clean when she finished as it was when she started, and the paint job looked good. We have already had Dinoreh back for a second paint job and have identified a third that is best done in the spring. She had the competence and integrity to tell us that one exterior paint job should not be done in November. The risk of bubbling was too high, but it would not appear until the summer - well past the time of the work. I have had the best and most expensive painters in town paint my house as well as more affordable but competent ones. Dinoreh is the best combination of competent and well priced.
Description of Work: Dinoreh painted my kitchen walls as part of an Angie's List "Big Deal."

The 2 person crew showed up on time and was very professional as they walked thru the house with me to determine what my priorities were since the time purchased was not enough to complete the entire house. The only reason I gave a "B" for responsiveness is because it was more than 1 email that I sent to find out if the date I had requested was available. Otherwise, everything was wonderful and I would definitely use them again.

+ -1 moreJose came to my home for the estimate at the time we scheduled and worked me fit me into their calendar. Because part of the job needed a tall ladder, the job was split into two days. Dinorah came the first day and did most of the trimming, the foyer and the guest bathroom. She returned with Jose on the second day to tackle the tall stairwell and the master bath. Due to an unforeseen emergency, Jose had to leave but Dinorah stayed until the job was completed by herself. She went above and beyond to ensure I the job was done well and I was happy. I would not hesitate to hire them again.
Description of Work: I had a foyer, stairwell, landing, and two bathrooms painted. I purchased a coupon for $100 and used in a bathroom and the remaining cost was $475. I was very pleased with the work done.

+ -1 moreThey were terrific. The two people who came were also the owner/operators. They were incredibly thorough, fast as could be (the home was quite messy) and warm and lovely. They were happy to answer questions and very friendly but I was also very comfortable doing work while they were here - they did not interrupt me. I do not keep a neat home, but my mother-in-law does and I got this cleaning just before she visited. She remarked on how very clean the house was said that she wished D&J were in New Jersey so she could hire them too. I will definitely hire them again, without the big deal.
Description of Work: Cleaned upstairs and downstairs of a three bedroom home with four pets (2 dog, 2 cat). Got all the bathrooms (2 1/2) and the kitchen as well. Mopped, vacuumed, dusted, etc.

+ -1 moreThe experience was, on a scale of 1 - 10, a 7. Great painters, but the price was adjusted while they were actively painting. I feared that the job wouldn't be completed neatly, so I was compelled to oblige. Wonderful job with what was completed. However, they also didn't paint the trim. Maybe with full service (minus a coupon) they would have; this would have made a huge difference in my percepton of their work. I wouldn't use them again due to that, but would recommend them for others.

Description of Work: First experience was approx end of July. Job very well done on that visit. Same two people arrived today, on time. Same house, same number of people living in the house. House professionally cleaned approx two weeks ago. So - what is wrong with this picture?? Crew arrived approx. 1:15 pm. I paid for FOUR hours of "Professional Housecleaning". One of the first things that was done was to put a bucket with a mop in it in the dining area, which promptly fell over. When they announced they were finished, I pointed out two areas in living room that were untouched as well as two areas in dining area. Worker #2, who has spoken very little English so far, apologizes, while worker #1, who seems to be in charge and actually does very little work compared to worker #2, watches worker #2 continue to work. When the mop fell over, it nicked a piece off of a cabinet. I was so angry at the fact that such a sloppy job was "done" and they left after only two hours, I could not even say anything about the furniture because I was afraid of what I would say. Very interesting that the first time they cleaned, they used the entire four hours, plus an additional 30 minutes. So I figured in my mind I "owed" them 30 minutes. They 'completed' the cleaning of the same house is two hours this time, and nicked a piece of furniture as well. So I can tell you what is wrong with this picture - I did not have enough control over my anger to even tell them about the piecce of furniture. I think they got the message I was unhappy with the job. I quit pointing out what they did not do because I just wanted them out of my house.. Just not used to people not doing what they say they will do. So far, this has been one of the few poor experiences I have had with an Angie Deal.

+ -1 moreMy house looked great. Well worth the money. They were very friendly and arrived when they said they would arrive. They focused on the areas I asked for them to focus on and they had time leftover to do some of the basics like clean the kitchen.
Description of Work: Paid $79 for 4 hours of cleaning. I asked them to focus on mopping the floors and dusting and the bathrooms if they had time. They did all of that plus cleaned the kitchen, straightened up a bit of my clutter.
