Comfort Monster Heating & Air / Absolute

Thank you guys and gals so much! Friday morning my car battery died, then after I got to work, my wife tells me it is 88° in our house (with 2 terriers, 1 cat, and a small hamster sweltering inside). After a diagnostic we find out that our compressor is blown for sure. After calling several companies off Angie's List, I talked to Alex over the phone and he really knew his profession. Alex took the time to educate me about my options, what they have available, and how my needs could be met (as a family who likes to keep their house at 70 or 69 most of the time). Now you should always get several quotes when you are dealing with something that has a heavy cost, but I was most impressed by Absolute Comfort and Alex (if they were the first company I had come out to do the diagnostic, I probably wouldn't have bothered to get other quotes). He took a good look at what was going on with the old system, talked to me about brands when I asked about Trane. It was really refreshing to have someone passionate, I know Alex was because he enjoyed educating me about why certain models were a good fit, how to understand certain terms (ECM, SEER rating,Honeywell Thermostats, drain pans, etc.). After getting 3 different options quoted, I was ready to pull the trigger. I went through financing options with Green Sky Online and I was able to handle such a big project. Absolute Comfort gave me reasonable prices, broke down the details, and also informed me of possible rebates because of the energy saving/rating that this system would allow us. Now they knew that we wanted to get this done as soon as possible, and after confirming on a Sunday early evening the time for the install on Tuesday morning we were pleased with how fast they could help us. Monday morning they gave us a call and let us know that they were able to come out a little early on Monday and get some of the work done so that Tuesday would be a breeze. We were so excited that they could come out early and start even sooner. When they came out, they were extremely nice and polite. They worked hard and didn't mind us when we bothered them asking if they needed water or a drink every hour. They didn't bother us beforehand asking for payment, but since they started early, we went ahead and made sure they got what they earned just as quickly. Not only was the whole team great and hard working, but they had the president come out and check everything, talk with us to make sure we had everything we needed. This could have been such a nightmare, but it was easily one of the best resolutions to our home heating and air problems. So if anyone has any issues with their heating/air, Absolute Comfort Heating and Air is the best option you can go with. Found them on Angie's list, they have all their permits, certifications, and they will take the time to make sure you know what you need and why. Thanks again!!!

Got a quote for the job and it was solid. I was a little perplexed that the rep said he didn't make any follow up calls. This was essentially his best price offering. I wound up going with another company. I still think we could have done business but he really didn't seem that interested in doing my system replacement.

The owner, Sean, came out and spent a half of a day diagnosing the system We've been having humidity issues caused by the company our home-builder hired to install our HVAC system (not Absolute Comfort.) Sean did not charge us for the inspection. We are in their discount/maintenance plan, but Absolute Comfort really seems to care and is willing to go far more than the extra mile to earn our business.

Their sales representative presented their proposal, we came to an agreement the unit was installed as agreed to. We're waiting for the final inspection.

Excellent! An honest assessment of our current system was provided and various solutions were prevented. We decided instead of fixing a 10-year unit we would replace it with a new unit, and this installation was done promptly (within 2 days) and under an initial estimate price. The value for the services was extraordinary!

No show for appointment. No call to cell phone. Left 2 messages, no return call. Someone picked up on 3rd attempt, Put on hold while they checked, they hung up phone. Can't speak to their expertise, but professionalism is an "F-" Use a professional company for you HVAC needs, not this fly-by-night outfit.

Could not recommend this company more to help you with whatever you HVAC needs are. Knew I would need to replace my A/C system at some point and that day finally came. Absolute Comfort was there the next day to give me a quote. I chose to get a full system (AC & Furnace) and their price beat a quote from another company by $1,500.. and the competitor quote was for only the A/C. The installers were professional and personable despite the attic being extremely hot on the day of installation.

Very well done from start to finish. Steve was on time, ready to start work when he arrived, and explained what he did. He also gave us lots of good pointers about keeping the unit working at top efficiency.

Job went as promised and on time. Shawn is just a great guy to work with and absolutely dependable. The Tega Cay City Inspector went out of his way to tell me what a great job that was done installing our new system. I have engaged this company on previous occasions for repairs. I would not use another company.

They came out and did the work. Two months later it was out of Freon again, so I called another company that came and found a leak, and then they replaced it. They didn't really go looking for a leak, which would have taken them 30 more minutes. They came out within 2 or 3 days of me buying the big deal. They added 4 or 5 pounds of Freon and they charged me more for it. They did the bare minimum. I would not use them again in the future.

I am happy with my decision to use Absolute Comfort. For me, this was a big decision because of the cost involved and I wanted to make sure I was dealing with a capable and trustworthy company. I got estimates from three companies (all on Angie's List) and Absolute was clearly the best of the three. One of the three companies gave a higher estimate and then said they'd take $500 off if we made the decision today and another $500 for something else. What? I did not appreciate the pushy sales tactics. Why not just give us an estimate for $1,000 less. Steve with Absolute prepared an estimate for us. He answered all of my questions thoroughly and told me what they could offer. He was not pushy when giving me other options (zone system) that I ultimately decided not to go with. It was easy to make an appointment for estimate and for installation. Donnell and Shaun were the two installation guys that showed up to do the job. They were on time, very courteous and cleaned up once the job was done. It was a pleasure dealing with them. If you want a seamless experience with a very professional, knowledgeable and (in my opinion) trustworthy company, then Absolute Comfort is the way to go.

They advised me what the cost of the repair would be vs how practical it was to put that much money in a system as old as the one I had. I got a very reasonable proposal for replacement with upgrades that I wanted. My house is warm and energy efficient. I couldn't be happier with their responsiveness, advice, pricing, installation and after care.

It was okay. One person showed up and he was on time. I asked for a receipt after the service; they sent me the receipt for the credit card but not that of the item that they charged. There were additional charges to replace some parts. They should work on their timing. They should also make it clear if they are going to charge the service call or not.

If I could give more A's I would. Had same day service, here about 2 hrs, and charged me 1/4 what I expected. So awesome to find a true honest company. So PROUD to have this man in my community.

Punctual, professional, friendly and honest. I used to fix AC systems long ago but am no longer able to do it myself, so I know what I am talking about when it comes to AC. These guys are great and I would recommend them to anyone. I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience.

Company offered a Angie's List big deal offer for a new furnace install. The came out on time and completed the job in a couple of hours. The were clean, polite and focused. I would recommend.

Went well, the coupon covered all bu $19.00 and while he was here he serviced the furnace

Very happy indeed with my repair person. He was knowledgeable and efficient. I plan to use his company to replace my old heating/air conditioners in the new year.

They were very responsive and honest in their assessment of our units. They provided a fair price and timeline to complete the job. I was very pleased with the service. I wanted to make sure my furnace was prepared for the winter, but even more, I had several questions (I recently purchased this home). The service man spent a good amount of time with me, patiently answering my questions and explaining how things work. I would definitely recommend this company.

They were prompt and very quick in getting the unit working again.

A/C went out in August! Signed up for the $59 special and they were able to come out the same day. Service tech was able to identify and fix problem quickly and didn't charge any extra. He was thorough and explained why system overloaded and how to prevent in future. He went over filter options and explained many things that I was unaware of. Went above and beyond in my opinion. Didn't try to up sell, was very friendly, professional and prompt. Will definitely hire again when needed.

The service from Absolute Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning surpassed my expectations. When I called for an appointment, they were able to fit me in the very next day. They gave me a two-hour appointment window, and arrived promptly. I'm a first-time home owner and clueless about furnaces. I bought the house a few months ago. The HVAC system was inspected and everything worked properly. The AC wasn?t used during the summer because I was renovating the house. Recently, as the temperatures started to drop, I turned on the furnace but there was no hot air. In fact, the AC turned on when the thermostat was turned to Heat. Based on how everything has gone with this house renovation (much more extensive than expected), I was preparing myself for the worst with the furnace. However, Steve from Absolute Comfort identified the problem immediately. And it was a very simple problem. During the house renovation the thermostat was removed from the wall mount. When it was reinstalled, the connection was off. Steve adjusted the connection and then properly set the thermostat into the wall mount. He also performed a full diagnostic on the furnace and he took the time to answer all my questions about my gas furnace. During this house renovation, I have encountered a number of service contractors who have tried to scare me into paying for unnecessary work or equipment. I cannot thank Steve enough for his honest assessment, thorough work, and patience with my questions. I will use Absolute Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning for regular maintenance of my HVAC system. I highly recommend this company.
