They visited my house within 2 hours of my call, fixed the unit in 15 minutes, clean and professional, well spoken and punctual.

Late last night I looked at the thermostat before going to bed. The temp was set at 77 but the thermostat read that it was 79 in the upstairs. I checked a couple of registers and found that the air was blowing but not cold. I turned it off, turned on the ceiling fans and went to bed. This morning at exactly 8am, after reviewing Angies List for companies to use, I called Absolute Comfort. Shawn answered the phone and asked a couple of questions and said that someone would get back to me shortly. Knowing that it was going to be in the mid 90"s today, I figured it would be late today and just accepted that. Not so..... Steve called at about 10 am and asked if we were home and that he could be there about 11am. I said we are here and looking forward to him coming. He arrived right on time, was pleasant and friendly. He asked a couple of pertinent questions and went upstairs with me to take a look. He assessed the situation and said I'm going to get to work and will let you know what I find out. Just a few minutes later , he came in and said it was a burnt wire connecting the capacitor to the fan motor. something fairly simple and that he could have it done right away. He gave me a priced, suggested that the capacitor really should be changed, quoted the work and I agreed. . A reasonable fix for a very warm day. I would recommend Absolute Comfort to everyone I know. This review has a prequel to it.... 1 week ago, I had another company come out to give me a FREE in home inspection, and what they call a complete system rejuvenation which includes testing, lubricating,thoroughly cleaning the system and safety inspection. " BOBBY " , the friendly guy from the tv commercial came out and did all this and recommended a lot of work and it added up to over $1500. I thanked him for coming and immediately called the company and cancelled my Preferred customer agreement. You can read my other reviews if you want to know more. I truly feel that, maybe not on purpose, that the wire was removed for inspection, reattached and that when the wire itself burned. I don't know that for certain as I am not the professional, but after Absolute Comfort fixed me up, I would most definitely call them one.

Service provider arrived on time. Explained the system to me in detail. Fix the air conditioner so that it cools the house properly. Will definitely use them for all my HVAC needs.

The service went very well. Their pricing was great. Their service was wonderful. I talked to quite a few different companies and they were by far the most forthright. There are a lot of games when they are trying to sell you $8,000, $14,000, $15,000 unit outside your house. It is a pretty pressure sale pitch that they do. The research on Angie’s List, they had a box dented model that they were willing to sell for 40% off of the cost of it. They were looking at the unit and trying to decide the cost to fix it versus replacing. I was getting outrageous quotes as far as fixing it. Absolute was very reasonable on what I could do to replace it. I could have repaired it for a lot less with Absolute even with what the other companies had quoted me. In some cases, 75% less than what they were quoting me for the repairs would be. They were just honest about it and we went through the pros and cons of repairing it and the replacement with the box dented because it was not dented inside. I liked that and appreciated that. They were quick and they cleaned up. They explained to me how to use the programmable thermostat.

I purchased a deal through Angie's List for a check and tune-up of one A/C unit for $49. Shawn came out and checked everything on the older unit, cleaned it outside and discovered I needed some freon. He charged me $70 for one pound of freon, which to me seemed reasonable since its the R-22. He also cleaned the outside condenser of my other A/C unit that is less than a year old free of charge. I had him quote me a price on replacing the older unit so when the time comes I have an idea as to the cost.

We purchased an Angie's List Deal for a tune up of our a/c unit. The output of cold air was not very good, and we had been told my another provider last year at the end of the season that we needed a new a/c unit. At the time we were unable to complete the repairs due to personal circumstances. Although Absolute did not have many reviews, they were all stellar. After some initial miscommunication, Shawn came out to check our unit. He was professionally dressed and used booties when he entered our home. He check our unit outside as well as the air handler in our attic. He carefully listened to our concerns about the a/c unit and what our problem was. After checking everything, he stated the freon was low and suggested we fill it to see how that would work. We immediately had cold air blowing and everything seems fine. We were impressed by Shawn's professionalism and we plan to use their company again in the future for our needs.

Shawn was terrific. He made time to check out both of my elderly mother's a/c units (one not working). He fixed the non-working unit, added freon to both. He was punctual, polite, professional and knowledgeable. We will definitely call him for seasonal tune ups and replacements.

Our upstairs A/C unit had quit working. I purchased the Angie's List deal and my husband phoned them. During this very busy season for this company, the technician came out, assessed the problem and was able to fix it the same evening of the day we purchased the deal. Very professional and knowledgeable. Great service.

Steve Peterson, who gave us the estimate was prompt, thorough, and courteous. The price was competitive. I did not have to pay anything up front. I did not pay until the job was completed. The job was done very professionally. The technicians were also professional and courteous; and the carefully cleaned up after the job. They had to remove one of the old units from our attic, down a small attic folding stair. Somehow they did it without damaging our walls. I was very satisfied. I called them because they already had good reviews on Angie's List.

I purchased the coupon for the discounted diagnostic and $60 work credit. Shawn was able to come out same day. He replaced the transformer and a piece on the outside unit. The issue stemmed from the Nest Thermostat causing issues with my system, even though it was "compatible". Placed the old thermostat on it and everything worked fine. Shawn was great, showed us what was going on, explained things through the process. We sent him out with a bottle of water and bag of cookies.

I was very pleased with service I received! Placed my order through Angie's Deal program and followed up with phone call to Shawn because my schedule can be difficult. He was able to come out the very next day which worked perfectly. He touched base with me in the morning to confirm the time and showed up as discussed. I like that he has a young man working for him that he is training in the business. Shawn spent enough time evaluating my HVAC unit to give me an idea of its age (old) and explained that the need for replacement is probably not far down the road. I appreciate that there was no pressure to do it now...before it dies...and also that he uses a high quality name brand for replacement. When the time comes, I'll absolutely call Absolute Comfort!

Wanted to install and a new HVAC before my old one stopped working. It was not an emergency so I had time to shop around and do plenty of research. Obtained different estimates before I chose ABSOLUTE COMFORT HEATING AND AIR. ABSOLUTE was the most thorough in their explanation on how I could get quality without having to spend an astronomical amount. They were also very close to what I had intended to spend based on my research. The first company that gave me an estimate was quite a bit higher and I had sticker shock until I researched other companies and the "average cost of new HVAC in Charlotte NC". They were professional, showed up on time, and were very courteous. They layed down drop cloths even though I had put down carpet protection. They explained how the system worked and what to expect and told me to contact them if there were any issues at all. I would recommend this organization to anyone who is looking at HVAC systems for either replacement or repair.

So i needed a new furnace and A/C. I looked up on Angie"s list for some providers.I had done alot of research a couple years prior when we replaced our down stairs unit.Naturally the big companies had alot of great reviews.But for me i am a small buisness owner and i wanted to find someone who like me owned a small buisness that did great work.I found Absoulute Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning in Ft Mill SC.They did not have alot of reviews which i understood.When you are competeing with the bigger companies i understand it way more difficult to gain the amount of work that the larger guys garner to generate the amount of reviews.With that said one of them stood out to me. Absolute Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning.So i made the call on a Sunday.Shaun called me back in five to ten minutes i was shocked and impressed being Sunday afternoon.I explained to him what my issues were.I explained to him what i had done a couple years prior and the unit i had installed.He explained to me my options and what he would do if it were his home which is great and appreciated.I then explained to him that my business takes me away for weeks at a time and i would need for him to come out on my wife's day off and take care of things.He agreed and came out on the day we discussed.He went out side examined the unit went in to the attic looked at the furnace.And then came down and explained to my wife that it could be fixed temporarily.That because everything was almost 17 years old he was not sure how long it would last. He also gave her the estimate for the replacement of the unit.When i checked in that nite from across country my wife explained to me what had been done and the options and pricing.Which by the way were far better then any previous companies.I told her to lets just replace it and to call Shaun and set it up.We went ahead with the replacement. Shaun had his men come out i am not if he was on the job.They came out on the scheduled date and time.They took all the old unit and installed the new unit perfectly and were so professional with it all the way through my wife did not even have one worry.Trust me that's impressive when you gain her trust and confidence like that.I called home that nite and inquired how things went and she was like perfect.I said did you go out and look at it.Her reply was why they were great and professional i don't have one worry.I went with Absolute Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning because i believe in supporting my fellow small business and am so happy i did.The price was far better then anyone else,The professionalism was excellent,And most importantly.When i can hire a company who not only meets the first two objectives but sends a crew out to perform the work at hand.When i am three thousand miles away and not have to worry about the work being done the professionalism on the job and the fact that my wife was so secure with them that she never even worried about what they were doing even after they left.Well that's a company that deserves a top rating.Thank you for your hard work and great service.I hope this review helps bring many more jobs Just the way the one i read did when i decided to call

I believe the technician's name was Steve - he arrvied at my house within a half hour or less of my phone call. He spent nearly 1.5 hours at my house inspecting the unit and doing the repair, answering a TON of questions, and giving us a lot of good information and advice. I felt like he was very upfront and honest. He told us our compressor was on it's last legs but didn't force a new unit on us and gave us options to repair what we could to keep it running for as long as possible to avoid the cost of a full replacement.

Everything went great. No problems. Shawn did an excellent job, but another company gave me a better price.

I would recommend Absolute Comfort to anyone who needs to have an AC unit installed. Their bid was a few hundred dollars less than the more well-known competition for the same quality of work. Shawn (the president of the company) was always reachable by cell phone if I had any questions. On the installation date, the two workers who came to the house did a professional job and were courteous. Finding a good and trustworthy AC installer is hard -- but my wife and I are glad we found Absolute Comfort.
