CNA Fencing

This post is a warning not to do business with CNA Fencing owned and operated by Andrea and Cedric Smyre 704-963-8137. My sister hired and paid them $1500.00 to do her fence on March 19th. She then told my sister she never received the money. Once my sister pushed back and refused to send another $1500.00, she admitted to my sister via text that her (Andrea’s) bank is holding the money. They started her fence the same day but stopped the work on April 1st saying Cedric was sick with his diabetes and couldn’t work. Funny but he was caught on camera outside of my sisters house picking up his tools on April 4th. She promised my sister her fence would be completed weeks ago. This continued with excuse after excuse from supposedly not being paid to her husband being out of work. Yet, he continues to do other jobs. They just posted “Another satisfied customer” photo on April 12th of fence he finished. I called myself and spoke to her and she claimed it would be finished but gave me the same sob story of Cedric being too sick to work. I call it a sob story because he is still working his regular job and taking on new customers to build fences for. I told her if he cannot finish the fence give my sister back ½ her money since he did ½ of the job so she can find someone more reliable to finish her fence. It is sad that it had to come to this. You try to support black businesses and it’s the bad apples like CNA FENCING that destroys the confidence that we as blacks work so hard to build. Then when you try to hash out any issues privately you still get taken advantage of. Times are hard and people deserve to get what they paid for when it was promised to them. Now they are ignoring my sister’s calls, texts, and emails. She is obtaining a lawyer and will be taking them to court. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY…THEY DO NOT STICK TO THEIR WORD…AND WILL START A JOB GET YOUR MONEY AND DISAPPEAR.
